The Gateway Pundit reported that the Arizona Legislature is preparing to adjourn for the year and go home until January 2022, leaving their post BEFORE the Arizona audit report is produced and laws or legislation can be created.

The Arizona Senate has still not decided on a budget for 2022 and is still in session now. However, AZEdNews reported that “The rumor is that issues with moving to a state income tax system with one or two tax rates – flat rate system – have been worked out and the votes to approve the budget are available”. They are live streaming the budget hearing, which started today at 10 am.

Senate Republicans Block Democrats’ ‘Voting Rights’ Bill – Kamala Harris Vows to Keep Fighting

The US Senate on Tuesday blocked the “For the People Act” in a 50-50 vote – every Republican voted “no.”

The vote on the procedural motion to advance the bill needed 60 votes.

The “For the People Act” would federalize elections, make ballot harvesting legal and force states to let violent felons vote before completing their sentence.

“The motion is not agreed to,” Harris said vowing to fight on.

Since Democrat lawmakers have failed to pass their sweeping elections reform bill Joe Biden is working on a new strategy to make it easier for Democrats to steal elections.

In March Biden signed an executive order that would require federal agencies to expand access to voter registration – making it easier for Democrats to steal elections.

“It is the responsibility of the federal government to expand access to, and education about, voter registration and election information, and to combat misinformation, in order to enable all eligible Americans to participate in our democracy,” the order read.

Dem Sen. Murphy: We Need to Ditch the Filibuster to ‘Save Our Democracy’

enator Chris Murphy (D-CT) said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that he supported removing or reforming the filibuster so Democrats could pass legislation in the U.S. Senate with a simple majority vote in order to “save our democracy.”

When asked about Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) opposing removing the filibuster, Murphy said, “We no longer have two parties that are both committed to democracy and extending the vote. In fact, we have one party that spent much of the beginning of this year actively trying to install someone as president who didn’t win the electoral college vote or the popular vote. So when that breakdown occurs, it is the responsibility of the majority party to make sure that our democracy is protected.”

He added, “I understand it’s important for people in my business to be consistent and maintain their positions, but you also have to recognize you when the facts around you have changed. So, you know, we’ll continue to have a really robust debate about the future of Senate rules. I may go down to the Senate floor the next 24, 48 hours and have my say on the question, but it’s really important that we don’t give the minority party in the Senate veto power over reforms to our democracy that will save our democracy.”

Stabenow: I’ve Changed on Filibuster Due to ‘Perversion’ of It, Minority ‘Can Stop the Will of the Majority’

On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Hallie Jackson Reports,” Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) stated that her viewpoints on the filibuster have changed because there is now “a perversion of the rules” and that the founders supported majority rule and people “will lose faith in their government” if we don’t have majority rule.

Stabenow said, “My calculus has changed. I came to the Senate 20 years ago. I had a different view at that time, similar to our senator from Arizona, and the world has completely flipped upside down. We now have a perversion of the rules. We have tyranny of the minority really, and I think Alexander Hamilton is probably rolling over in his grave. Because the fundamental debate in our Constitution was about majority rule. They debated majority rule versus supermajority rule and they came down on the side of majority rule, and in fact, I’m going back now in deep and reading the Federalist Papers, Federalist 22, where Alexander Hamilton really laid out what’s happening now and how people will lose faith in their government if it’s not majority rule, how the minority can manipulate things, can stop the will of the majority, which is exactly what is happening now.”

Google Responds to Claims It Secretly Installed COVID-19 Tracking App on Users’ Phones

A number of Android phone users over the past weekend reported that a COVID-19 notifications system was automatically installed on their phones without warning or consent.

Google, in a statement to several news outlets, did not confirm or deny whether the “automatically distributed” system was installed without users’ consent, while noting that “COVID-19 Exposure Notifications are enabled only if a user proactively turns it on.”

“We have been working with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to allow users to activate the Exposure Notifications System directly from their Android phone settings,” the tech giant said in a statement. “This functionality is built into the device settings and is automatically distributed by the Google Play Store, so users don’t have to download a separate app. COVID-19 Exposure Notifications are enabled only if a user proactively turns it on. Users decide whether to enable this functionality and whether to share information through the system to help warn others of possible exposure.”

It came after numerous users in Massachusetts claimed on Reddit, Hacker News, and in Google’s app reviews that the service was installed without them knowing.

In a 1-star review, one user wrote on Google Play that they “absolutely did not install this on my phone” and said it was “silently installed without any notification.”

Exposure Notifications “doesn’t have an app icon … you have to go through settings and view all apps,” according to the user. “This is a huge privacy and security overstep by [Gov. Charlie Baker] & Google.”

One woman described the program as “spyware,” alleged it “seems to want to track my location,” and noted that it uses Bluetooth.

“It’s pure madness that Play Services comes with this sort of backdoor. This is clearly what I would consider a deliberate … vulnerability,” opined one user on Hacker News.

There were also reports that another app called MassNotify was installed without users’ consent. MassNotify appears to be different than Massachusetts’ COVID-19 Exposure Notifications system.

Reports have noted that the Exposure Notifications program resides in the Android system Settings menu. Users can access it by going to Settings, then Google, then accessing the COVID-19 Exposure Notifications, where one can turn on tracking or report having COVID-19.

The Epoch Times has contacted the Massachusetts governor’s office and Google for comment.
