Some U.S. juristdiction is solarsystem wide … and boldly beyond.
Like f.e. the De-Nazification laws established by the AMG (Allied Military Goverment, today known as SHAEF) at the end of WW2, when Germany submitted into unconditional capitulation and all former german laws where wiped out.
Those laws are not bound to location or time and still valid to this day.
They are always cited when someone points to the "Nürnberg Code of Ethics"
and contain a listing of crimes and according punishments, including death sentence, even in places where that has been abandoned.
A very valuable universal ruling.
It binds in quite well with the biblical commandments, the constitution for the united states of America and some unwritten, but verifiable laws of nature, like "nature can not be oitlawed" or "the attempt to flee captivity can not be punished" …
It is a long and slow thought process to get there, but when one has suffered enough under tyranny, one might arive there and become ones own lawyer ( in a world full of corrupt & greedy lawyers). I'm no lawfag, just stumbled into it being confronted accordingly.
