Remember that the best way to commit the perfect murder is to make it look like a suicide or accident. The police like a death to be something simple that can be filed closed in short time. Murders require investigation…work. If the cop can write suicide or accident on the report and it looks reasonably like it, then that is the quick answer that solves the case.
So…just because it looks like a suicide or accident doesn't mean it actually is.
