We are also trying to make sure that inside the U.S. government, we have shrunk the distance between each other. We now have guidance from President Obama that lays it out like this. DHS has responsibility for cyber response for people figuring out how to harden their networks, for helping critical infrastructure think about how to be safer and better and for helping with remediation. The FBI, through the Justice Department, has the lead on investigation. Our role is to respond to threats, to try and see threats in the neighborhood before they emerge and stop them. And then the Director of National Intelligence has the responsibility for equipping all of that with good thinking and great intelligence.

Also, the daylight pic that shows the sticker on the sign was captured with a long lense such that the background objects appear much closer than actual. In the background are a couple of red objects. On closer inspection, these are located well inside LSQ and beyond the corner of COVENTRY/ WHITCOMB Streets. The red object on the right is PIZZA HUT canopy; and on the left is BURGER KING shopfront. That latter had me wondering it it was a double-decker bus making a left turn, kek.

Beyond the double decker, on right side of camera frame, is the sidewalk area between the shopfront/hotel on the right and the ticket kiosk near the kerb; to the left is the crosswalk across Whitcomb Street; and the streetlevel McDonalds and Angus Steakhouse at COMMUNICATONS HOUSE on the other side of Whitcomb Street.
The camera view of that area is, in effect, like a view through the crack in a door, such that it is 'cropped' on the right by the pedestrian traffic light for the Coventry crossing; and on the left by the corresponding pedestrian traffic light for the Whitcomb crossing.
The Coventry crossing light shows green; and given the 'balancing' of the woman at the kerb in front of the bus, it could be that the light is ready to phase to red. Meanwhile there is a man in red touque, black jacket, tan colour tousers who appears to be heading toward the Whitcomb crossing; his hands are in pockets of the jacket and his feet/legs seem orientated away from the camera.
Right. Now look at the ticket kiosk. The camera's view of the yellow roofline is interupted at its peak. Compare with SV 2014 AND SV 2012. At that end of the kiosk, under the yellow roofline, are two small canopy-type sets of signage showing different events/ shows. The RED BUS pic view of that area, does not match SV JUL 2012 nor SV MAY 2014.

Curious. The SV JUL 2012 view toward the RED BUS camera position suggests that the polic blue box could have been in position on the east side of Coventry prior to being moved to the west side of the street.
Not saying it was on the eastside first and then moved to the westside for NYE 2014, just noting the 2012 position would have been out of shot in RED BUS. In any case, the police blue box does not appear within the camera frame of RED BUS.
Challenge is to find pictorial evidence of the first appearance of the bue box that appeared in NYE 2014. If I recall correctly, the box was in position in 2012 from summer to sometime in mid-JAN 2013. We are narrowing RED BUS to a brief interval the following winter. The 2012 interval for the box is much broader than it appears to have been for 2013/2014.
Find pictorial evidence that the police box was NOT in place, on the westside of COVENTRY, before 31 DEC 2014; that would suggest RED BUS was Christmas week.
Find evidence it was in place before Christmas Week, and that would suggest RED BUS was taken AFTER the police box was removed early in JAN 2014. I'd say, suggest, just because there would then remain the possibility that RED BUS was taken BEFORE Christmas week.

GAVIN, aka the Canadian, was in London for most of the time interval that we are focussed on. On NYE he went to Piccadilly Circus and recorded loads of snippets between there and LSQ. The night vids showed a few gud views of the front of COOL BRITANNIA and provided a decent comparison with Q's two pics of Piccadily Circus. unfortunately, night time vids showed the little trees lit-up with white Christmas lights. So not the best 1-to-1 comparison.
Although GAVIN arrived early at Piccadilly Circus on 31 DEC 2013 and did capture the scene during the waning hours or so of daylight that evening, the tree lights were already on so not the best comparison.
BUT, coinkindetally, GAVIN managed to record the shopfront in daylight when one set of lights on one little tree just happened to have failed. So we have a 1-to-1 comparison with Q and that particular position.

Looks like a fair Q-match. Not just that particular little tree, unlit and in daylight, but also the weather conditions and, possibly, the ambient lighting as well.
Not a match as crowded sidewalks. AND CROWDED STREETS. Little, if any, type of vehicular traffic in GAVIN's vids that evening. Could it be that NYE celebration would present the power to pause the flow of buses and other vehicular traffic inside one of London's most popular locations?
Not sure that can nail Q-match with daylight hours prior to the pedestrian crowd arriving, but might provide some basis for the apparent behavior of the pedestrians lollygagging at Piccadilly Circus unencumbered by the typical heavy traffic through that area.

Kek, have watched so many hurkey-jurkey recordings that GAVIN made that am losing my mind just a bit at a time.
GAVIN did record the location during daylight on at least two evenings, including 31 DEC - the other may have been 28 DEC. Those provide gud ambient lighting matches. The one in which the tree is unlit was recorded during night, natch. The area was very well illuminated. The tree lights were lit up early on that evening as can be seen during the waning daylight hours in his recordings. Prolly same pattern in the days leading up to NYE, IDK. For sure, the lights were not on in the two Q pics. So that could be a micro-marker within a very narrow interval, if we ever got to that point.
Amazingly, GAVIN's vids show quite a lot of weather related bits and pieces that will come in handy.
Anons, could it be that Cool Britannia ran short of Christmas lights and the string terminated at that 4th arch? Hmm, Q's pics hint of dormant lights on the little tree beside the one that failed to light up. IDK.

The 28 DEC 2013 vid provides view of the little Christmas trees at positions 2 and 4. This vid was recorded in daylight. These two positions showed lights that came and went during the corresponding night time 31 DEC 2013 vid.
So we have at least two comparison points against the two Q pics. Both points show the trees without lights on. These trees show lits off in the Q pics.

The vidcaps show the positions okay but from slightly different angles in comparison with the camera view in Fsurv_london_ps and Fsurv_london_ps2.
The trees are a fair Q-MATCH, I think, but even with that these markers do not narrow the time interval. But supports the Christmas Season Timeframe APPLIED to 2013 up to and including NYE. Might even include NY DAY.

Yes, UK Anons, with contributions from all over the world via other breads, have accomplished much on the London Pics. But is not just pics. There is far more going on as anyone who has followed the breads will comprehend. Each of us has been active in other digs. The skill set and team work developed here, in this UK CORNER of the Q movement has already paid dividends in the dating of the LBP pic.
What has been done, and can be done, is top drawer work. Very fucking proud of all of you, UK Anons. And any other anons who come and participate and contribute will get up to speed and then use these methods and skills to make progress on other pic digz. There are many. Think of the CHINA pics, just as one example.
Digital warriors come all kinds of shapes and predilictions; the work ethic is strong and the stubborness to move forward is powerfully embodied in each UK Anon that has stuck his oar in and pulled his or her weight. There's lots to figure. I'll start the ball rolling on one small area of the ticket kiosk. Under the yellow peak of the roofline there have been two small canopies. Each changes frequently and might be indicative of 'hot' shows of the moment, as it were. So might be a rich vein to dig into. Could be tough as there is less than half of a canopy visible in the camera view of RED BUS.
Here is the the small area I am referencing. It is greyish-white along what would be the top and right edge of a show poster.
Here are some candidates, based on the shows you've come up with so far for 2013.
Nutcracker is a good choice due to season and the overall colour scheme.
Phantom is a good choice, perhaps not as good as Nutcracker, for same reasons. It is a predictable money-maker end of each year.
The next two are suggested by myself due to the colour scheme. These are not powerhouse shows that would claim pride of place on the heavy traffic side of a ticket kiosk.

More evidence of what was on that side of the kiosk might be found by a return to the recordings of GAVIN, aka The Canadian. Will have to steady myself and take some gravol or something for the motion sickness, kek.

As you can see, one or the other canopy is usually an echo of larger coverage on the kerbside of the kiosk or below the canopies. So, while checking vids of the time, almost any glimpse of either face of the kiosk, end or kerbside, would provide some indication of the possible canopy within the RED BUS camera frame.
Of course, there are other shows on other parts of the kiosk in RED BUS so diggerz need not limit to just this particular canopy. See something, say something.
Another detail that diggerz might look for is the lack of the lettering on the yellow peak. In RED BUS, curiously enough, there does not appear to be the, THEATRE TICKETS, sign.

This is a very interdasting marker and might even provide reason for inclusion of that sign so clearly in the camera frame.

That the ONCE canopy sign was in place for MAY and JUL 2014 lends some support for continuity backward in time to some extent.
If ONCE appeared in GAVIN's vid of 31 DEC 2013, then, this continuity moves the emphasis to other signs/indicators around that kiosk, I think.

Could be, however, the streets were pedestrian-only that night. Could also be a reflection off the W hotel area. Regardless, it is a gud point that the green is NOT part of the canopy signs.
That police watch tower has recently appear in the vicinty during 2020 but at yet another location; on the LSQ side of the Whitcomb but more toward the centre of the pedestrian area near kerbside. So this mobile tower thingie has made its appearance from time to time, in different seasons. As seen in 2012 pics, it appeared at Piccadilly Circus, too. In other years, including 2013, a different kind of platform was used by the police, deeper inside LSQ.
So, the box in the vid of 31 DEC 2013 would be a realy timestamp if we could narrow down its first and last appearance near the ticket kiosk.
With markers attached to 31 DEC 2013, we can then use processof elimination to discard dates on which those markers do NOT appear in RED BUS.
We have eliminated 23 DEC and 1 JAN due to the weather on those days. The 1 JAN elimination is supported by the appearance of the police box on 31 JAN 2013.
However, if this mobile box could have been put in place late in the day, i.e. later than the daylight indicated in RED BUS, then, the lack of vehicular traffic at Piccadilly Circus might be explained as pre-NYE road restrictions in that vicinity.
Indulge in a bit of spec with me for a moment. Suppose that there was a location within which surveillance was taking place because the targets were in and out of that location in all kinds of normala traffic. Suppose that the weather delayed flights out of UK and so this or that target/s remained for NYE. Instead of vehicular means, such as taxis or car rentals, the visiting targets were forced to hoof it around this part of London on that particular day. Or a private hire double decker bus came into service for tours because of the pending windstorm. The tour company, ORIGINAL TOUR, might be a bit of a hint regarding the origins of SPYGATE. The weather, the traffic, the RED BUS, the pedestrian emphasis and some lollygagging, can these all add up to support such a scenario, plausibly? Might there be better possibilities arising from these details we have uncovered? Add to the details the high tide in THAMES and yet more pedestrians, the targets on foot, crossing EMBANKMENT in vicinity of Corinthia Hotel where private hire double deckers have been noticed over the years.
End of speculation. The dig on the kiosk is producing good indicators. We may need to open our focus just a bit to take in that police watch tower.
The Piccadilly Circus details, also captured in GAVIN's 31 DEC 2013 vids, tie in pretty gud with the weather and the traffic details in RED BUS and the two PICCADILLY CIRCUS pics. And, with not much of a stretch, these details tie-in with WW also. Just wondering if WW was before or after these other pics.

Use the vidcaps from 31 DEC 2013 as an indirect link to RED BUS.
We have established that RED BUS was taken during the interval of NOV2013 to 23MAR2014.
Yes, we can narrow that interval to DEC 2013, when prepwork was done around COMMUNICATIONS HOUSE and during which we have indications that other Q pics prolly were taken. There are a few examples but I'll just point to the narrowed time interval for Winter Wonderland's open/closed dates. But let's stick with direct evidence as our currency that firms up our work on time intervals.
RED BUS has several timestamps markers.

And we've turn attention to the ticket kiosk. So in the context of these other winter markers some of which point at CHRISTMAS Timeframe in general and, with 3 significant markers, as applied to 2013/2014.
31 DEC 2013 vid shows at least two markers that differentiate the scene on that night from the RED BUS pic.

The posters and signage on the ticket kiosk on 31 DEC 2013 resemble SV MAY 2014 which suggests some continuity across about 6 months, BUT discontinuity with RED BUS.
Okay, since 31 DEC 2013 is very close in time to the Christmas Week that appears to be just beyond the CHRISTMAS WEEK during which the EMBANKMENT pics prolly were captures, we have a basis to use vidcaps from NYE 2013/2014 as a reference.
It is interdasting that the NYE fireworks display at THE EYE was an event that helped determine that EMBANKMENT pics were not taken in 2015/2016, nor 2014/2015, but 2013/2014. Coincidence, perhaps.
Okay, let's focus on the ticket kiosk as captured 31 DEC 2013.

Large poster on the flank of the kiosk resembles WE'RE THE MILLERS. Not super clear.

The black letters, THEATRE TICKETS, is common across all the images that we've gathered, but not so clear in RED BUS.

Below the yellow trimmed peak, there is a dark canopy. Where other images show two flaps, the 31 DEC 2013 vidcaps seem to show a single flap which looks like ONCE poster. The other flap positoin appears to be empty, BUT MAY SHOW a light grey colour that could match RED BUS view of that same area/flap.

The posters behind the flaps, and on the flank of the kiosk, include organgish colours.
Might expect seasonal signs to appear somewhere on the kiosk. Possibly on that flank of the kiosk. That said, the greyish colour could represent any of a few seasonal shows, including NUTCRACKER. Since we don't have a great view of that canopy, what else might be discerned through comparisons with 31 DEC 2013 and SV MAY 2014?
Can see some blue mixed with that orangey colour in the vidcap of 31 DEC 2013 and in SV MAY 2014 flap - could be MISS SAIGON signage. The ONCE canopy in 31 DEC 2013 and the posters vertically stacked are a match with SV MAY 2014.
Continuity inferred from 31 DEC 2013 to SV MAY 2014.
Re-examine RED BUS. Some blue is visible in the canopy flap area. There's quite a bit of yellow on the flank but also along the adjacent side of the kiosk. Could be part of the MISS SAIGON poster/s. Next look for the area that is organge/red which seems to resemble the orange text on red field as seen clearly in that area in SV MAY 2014.
Alternatively, consider the combination of blue and yellow in the WIZARD OF OZ signage.
Anons, we need views of the sidewalk side of this kiosk so we can do comparison with RED BUS view of that area.
I think the continuity between 31 DEC 2013 and SV MAY 2014 is interdasting, even if expected. BUT the overall resemblance of SV MAY 2014 with RED BUS is very significant.
Consider SV MAY 2014 a baseline, of sorts, which nails down the 2013/2014 Timeframe. Not that we needed to do that further, but it is another way to the same conclusion.
The blue police box, the watch tower, could be the key. Was RED BUS taken BEFORE or AFTER the appearance of that watch tower?
Interestingly, from this view of SV MAY 2014, we also gain an excellent fiew of the black box next to the kerbside at the kiosk.
Indirectly, we can use this SV MAY 2014 image as a reference for moar than one Q London Pic.

It may be a stretch, but I do think there is a gud resemblance between the lone flank sticker on the black box at ticket kiosk on coventry street, in RED BUS, and the sticker on the white sign at Piccadilly Circus and the Q pic of that scene.
The geographic proximity supports the notion as does the chronological proximity re Christmas Timeframe.
That Timeframe may be misnamed but the name is convenient for now. It is a seasonal frame that fits the London Pics quite well, natch, and the DEC interval for RED BUS seems to fit even better specific to 2013/2014. So, with that, a similar sticker in two Q pics may be a subtle marker to connects the images in time and place.
In other words, the stickers pull the images together in our understanding of the details within the camera frames. Tantalizingly, it also places an 'unseen hand' on the scene. Could be a player or could be a useful background character. I am leaning toward a player because this sort of sticker action is absent other images from other years. Seems concentrated during 2013/2014 and almost nonexistent before and after.
And, of course, my bias is informed by what we learned about dating Q's black box pic at SHELTER S.
There are such 'black boxes' in other Q pics, frens, and possibly there lies another sticker awaiting our discovery, IDK yet. Think EMBANKMENT. Not sure about CH and WW but it has been sometime since scrutinizing those scenes and wasn't looking for stickers there.
That said, will repeat that I think the police watch tower may be key to placing RED BUS prior to NYE. But must remain open to placing it after NYE until those dates can be eliminated. The kiosk signage might do just that.

If I recall rightly, we reached the reasonable conclusion, without direct evidence, that the Q version is pixelated version of the moar defined pic.

The SV image here is from JAN 2021; SV images prior showed far few stickers, mostly residue, during the interval between 2018 and 2021. So sticker action has now re-appeared.
