When what one has come to consider a 'friend' for whatever reason will marginalize you due to a disagreement over information and/or opinion, and emotionally refuses you the RESPECT of TRYING to understand where you're coming from:
THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE TIME
Relationships are supposed to be OPEN and RECIPROCAL in these regards, not a battle over worldviews. I had to drop a lot of 'friends' in this way over the years, especially when I "came out" pro-Trump. Trust me it only hurts for the first 2 or 3 weeks, then you realize how flimsy the "bond" was all along.
Real friends are willing to hear you out, even if they don't FEEL GOOD hearing what you think. Real friends are like patriots to the relationship you're supposed to build cooperatively.
