Add in the impeachments and covid as a political weapon, rather than valid legal or medical events to derail an administration and the scenario looks quite different.
I'd say new general elections, starting in 2022, which be be the anomaly/asterisk that keeps this situation a focal point in US history forever, and impugns the names/reputation of the perps to a time immemorial disgrace from that day forward.
Part of the restitution would be the releasing of the years 2016-2021 from counting as time in office, because they were served under constant illegal, hostile actions, from members of both parties, for political purposes.
