Moon Landings
It is quite possible some of the footage was staged and or recreated. Mixing truth with lies makes for a very confusing trail to investigate.
It's possible there were two 3 man teams, The real one and the one made for prime time.
If there were indeed things on the moon that should not have been, filming from all angles would have been difficult with out getting something into frame. This is where the studio/recreated footage would have augmented the real footage.
Much like reality TV where the events were real but recreated for the sake of production or in this case secrecy.
I have no doubt we went to the moon but there is a good possibility we are not getting the full story and the truth of what took place for a number of reasons.

Mixing facts with deception may be closer to reality.
