LAW
The Law of the land has been subverted, made impotent.
Whatever power one wishes to make legal the obtaining of one already in power makes it legal.
Then as one progresses in their vile afflictions, wanting to make every criminal, disgusting, immoral, vile and evil act not only as legal but necessary and worshiped. This is where they've progressed to. They just began creating law and changing law in their favor and it began long, long ago. Law became the instrument with which they gained more and more power and at the same time became more and more corrupt!
Absolute power corrupts absolutely!
It begins with getting saved first (Romans 10:9&10).
Then learn by reading the bible. The word of God explains who you become as a born again, saved, believer.
You now have power "from on high", power of the Holy Spirit. This is part of it. This is where the power comes from and where the protection comes from. You call on God for all your needs in time of trouble and He is absolutely there and protecting you and informing you as you need it.
The Word of God is basically your instruction manual to who you are in Christ. It specifically starts with the book of Romans.
Old Testament - this is for our learning; a historical account; why God had to promise a Savoir and what he would do when he got here.
New Testament -
Gospels (good news) Matthew Mark Luke John - Life of Jesus Christ up until his crucifixion.
Acts - Details out the Acts of the Apostles (those who had followed Jesus and were taught by him); starts with them with Jesus Christ after his resurrection; he then ascends and the Holy Spirit descends upon them. The rest is about all the miracles that take place.
Romans - this begins the Pauline Epistles. All these books begin by addressing to whom they are written - to the Saints in Christ, the Church, the born again believers. This is where all the instruction for a believer begins!!
