There won't be a cut and dry civil war because there are too many sides. It's not just left vs right. Within the left you have many groups, and a lot of them hate each other, like progressives vs communists. The right, too, is divided into GOP, Trump people, various religious groups, the far-right etc. All of those groups will try to take advantage of any conflict to disempower (or eliminate) their competition. Then add in foreign adversaries getting directly involved. Their people are already in our country. So this is going to get very nasty if it really falls apart, which is kind of funny imo. Not ha-ha type funny, just, you know, laugh to keep from screaming type funny.
