This event is free and exclusive to BAHID members.
At this spring conference we will be looking into the world and realms of forensic identification of the living with speakers covering a wide range of topics from cyber security and analysis, identification from explosive devices, digital imagery and much more. These speakers will share their insights, techniques and tools which make their work possbile.
Speakers:
Jacqueline Pestell - "Identification of subjects from CCTV footage; methods, limitations and controlling for bias"
Jacqueline Pestell, is a Forensic Video Analyst at Pestell FVA based in East Anglia. Jacqueline started her career as Junior Investigator with Kalagate Imagery Bureau in 2003 before becoming a Senior Investigator for LGC Forensics and Eurofins Forensic Services. Jacqueline has worked on over a 1000 cases and given evidence in Magistrates Courts, Crown Courts, Coroners Courts and given evidence in International cases in Bermuda and the Netherlands. Jacqueline has also been interviewed for TV channels including the BBC, Discovery Channel, and National Geographic. Jacqueline held the Chair Position of the Forensic Imagery Analysis Group that came under the umbrella of BAHID from 2013 to 2015 before it was moved to the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences. She continued to hold this position until 2018.
Jacqueline now runs her own Company, Pestell FVA, continuing to provide her expertise to the criminal justice system and private sector.
