If I could have one wish it would be this.
That anyone who has been made to feel that their time is past, that they are useless, that their time here on earth was a complete waste of time.
To that I would say, listen to your heart.
I remind you that we have recently survived a great depression, two world wars and many other horrific ones as well.
Suffering on a scale that has impacted every single one of us. But we are brave and resilient people.
We celebrate when we welcome our babies into this world, and we mourn and cry when we lose a loved one when they leave.
Such is the state of life.
We brought up our families with God, as we were brought up, as difficult as that may have been at times.
We worked long hours to provide for your families, man and woman working together, and everyone has a role in life.
No role has more importance than the other.
We passed on the baton of leadership to the younger who said they were stronger and smarter, that it was their time.
They used party affiliation to divide us, skin color to divide us, and religion to divide us.
And they have failed us all. They betrayed us for money and all the power that it brings.
But most importantly, they failed to protect the future generations of our wonderful world.
To the anonymous, to the deplorable, I say to you all, you have one more task.
We have one last grand opportunity to set things back onto its proper course.
We as a people must take the baton away from those who betrayed us.
We must return it to the people who care for us.
Perhaps you are a little slower now, and a little weaker than the others, but the fire in your heart burns brighter than it ever has in your entire life.
Follow your gut check and your heart.
Pray to God to make the correct choice, then get out to vote.
Yes, vote. Because in our country right now, there is a broken system.
Do not judge candidates by their party affiliation, as they are simply two sides of the same coin.
Make them prove to you that they have the skills to lead. Judge by their integrity, their lives, their families and the good in their heart.
Demand that they show their birth certificate. Trust, but do not be deceived.
For the good must play the broken system as well as the bad until the system itself can also be fixed.
Get out your walkers, your wheelchairs, your canes, and go out to vote.
Call old friends and ask if you can help them, or if they can help you.
Hold the door and do other kind acts to your fellow men and women.
The pigment in our skin is not an indicator of the kind of individuals that we are. Albinos are born to all colored skin people, yet they are shunned also.
We are all Children of God. All body parts are interchangeable.
John the Baptist said when confronted by the Pharisees demanding to know who he was "I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, 'Make straight the way for the Lord.'"
That was 2000 years ago. Today his words are just as relevant, but I believe his words this time are addressed to all of us.
"Make straight the way for the Lord."
Yes, It is time to Make Government Straight Again!
