Biden White House to Deploy “Delta Variant” Response Teams Across US to Communities with Low Vaccination Rates

The Biden Administration will be deploying “Delta variant” response teams across the country to communities with low vaccination rates.

The teams will be made up of officials from the CDC, Department of Health and Human Services and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, according to CNN.

The government officials will be focused on communities with low vaccination rates as Biden’s goal of 70% vaccination by 4th of July falls short.

As of this week, only 47.2% of Americans are fully vaccinated.

The White House has deployed similar response teams in the past, but this is the first time they are focused on the Delta variant, a White House official said. These response teams will conduct surge testing, provide therapeutics like monoclonal antibodies and deploy federal personnel to areas that need support staff for vaccinations.

The White House coronavirus team is spearheading this effort and officials expect the teams will help with everything from boosting testing, providing supplies and potentially increasing paid media efforts targeting regions where vaccinations are low.

While these response teams are being sent to prop up communities, officials believe vaccinations are the number one way to stop the spread and recognize there could be a limit to their efforts. Most US adults who plan to get vaccinated against Covid-19 have already done so, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation report released this week.

Discrimination Lawsuit Filed Against Chicago-Area School District for Anti-White Racism, Segregation

A discrimination lawsuit has been filed against the Evanston, Illinois school district for segregating students and teaching an anti-white racist curriculum to students beginning in kindergarten.

The Southwest Legal Foundation lawsuit alleges violations of the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause as well as statutory violations of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The suit claims that the Evanston/Skokie School District 65 is engaged in “treating individuals differently because of their race.”

BizPacReview reports that “the suit accuses Superintendent Devon Horton of telling teachers, ‘If you’re not antiracist, we can’t have you in front of our students,’ and contains an infographic depicting whiteness as the devil while teaching kids that whites are inherently evil.”

Teachers in the district were separated by race, instructed on the problems with “white talk” and “white privilege,” and required to participate in “privilege walks.”

Students as young as kindergarten were separated by race into “affinity groups,” told to participate in “privilege walks” based on their skin color, and given books depicting “whiteness” as a devil that “mess[es] endlessly” with “all fellow humans of color.”

The children were also taught “whiteness is a bad deal,” white people send “overt and subliminal messages” that they are “superior” and black people are “bad, ugly, and inferior,” and color-blindness is racist.

The school website proclaimed 5-year-old children, “especially while children,” are not “racial innocents.” The complaint alleges these discriminatory and hostile practices violate Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and the Equal Protection guarantee.

“For years now, race-based programming has overtaken District 65 in the name of racial ‘equity,’” the lawsuit says. “What seems like a relatively benign cause—also euphemistically called ‘social justice,’ ‘diversity and inclusion,’ ‘critical race theory,’ and ‘culturally responsive teaching’—is actually code-speak for a much bigger and more dangerous picture: the practice of conditioning individuals to see each other’s skin color first and foremost, then pitting different racial groups against each other.”

Supreme Court Rules Arizona Law Against Ballot Harvesting 'Not Racist'

The US Supreme Court upheld two election integrity laws in Arizona on Thursday, in what may pave the way for other states to enact similar measures to prevent potential voter fraud.

Voting 6-3 along ideological lines, the Court rejected Democrat claims that the Arizona laws - one which bans "ballot harvesting" in which third party activists collect and return other people's ballots - and another which invalidates votes cast in the wrong precinct - don't violate the 1965 landmark Voting Rights Act, according to Bloomberg.

The ruling comes as Republican-controlled states move forward with a bevy of similar laws aimed at improving election integrity.

Democrats argued that the Arizona laws disproportionately affect voters of color - claiming in an example that it's particularly useful to the state's Native American population because polling locations can be far away and mail service isn't always reliable.

The Supreme Court in 2013 effectively invalidated the "preclearance" provision of the Voting Rights Act, which used to require states and local governments to clear voting rule changes with the federal government if they had a history of discrimination.

All that’s left now is to challenge new rules after they take effect under a different provision of the law.

In today’s case, Democrats and voting-rights advocates feared not only that the court would uphold Arizona’s specific restrictions, but that it would also close the door — or begin closing the door — to many other after-the-fact challenges.

Clinton Judge Stops Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ Big Tech Law from Taking Effect

A federal judge appointed by Bill Clinton has prevented Florida’s Big Tech law from taking effect saying Big Tech is being censored.

Ron DeSantis signed a law protecting Americans from Big Tech censorship and a federal judge has decided to protect poor little Big Tech.

According to FOX News:

A federal judge has temporarily prevented Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis from implementing legislation allowing state residents to sue the country’s largest technology companies over their content moderation policies.

The law was scheduled to go into effect on Thursday.

In a preliminary injunction issued on Wednesday, the judge sided with two trade associations that argued parts of the law may violate the First Amendment by requiring social media sites to host speech they otherwise would not and by interfering with their editorial judgment.

The plaintiffs also took issue with the fact that legislation targets large technology companies and not smaller companies that operate in similar – if not identical – ways.

The judge noted that the legislation was an effort to rein in providers that were deemed “too large and too liberal.”

“Balancing the exchange of ideas among private speakers is not a legitimate governmental interest,” U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle wrote.

Judge Hinkle is a far-left liberal Clinton appointed judge – of course, another liberal judge standing against justice.

Blackstone Doubles Down On Las Vegas Bet By Buying Vdara & Aria Properties

As a record-breaking heatwave finally recedes, private equity giant Blackstone is adding to its already-considerable real-estate holdings in Las Vegas.

Bloomberg reported Thursday morning that Blackstone-managed funds would acquire MGM Resorts' (not to be confused with the MGM movie studio that Amazon is trying to acquire) Aria and Vdara properties for $3.39 billion in cash.

Following the acquisition, both properties will be leased back to MGM Resorts for initial annual rent of $215MM. Blackstone will own the properties, but management and operations will remain in the hands of MGM. The 10-figure windfall will provide an advantageous cash-cushion to the company, which was forced to make dramatic cuts and layoffs in order to survive the pandemic.

"We expect to continue executing on our asset-light strategy and utilizing the proceeds from our real estate transactions to enhance our financial flexibility and secure new growth opportunities," said Bill Hornbuckle, CEO and president of MGM Resorts.

Meanwhile, more than half of the money from the Blackstone deal will immediately be spent on buying the remaining 50% stake in the CityCenter from Infinity World Development for $2.125 billion. The deals are expected to close in Q3, and the closing of the CityCenter deal isn't contingent on the successful completion of the sale to Blackstone. MGM's purchase of the stake in CityCenter represents an implied valuation of $5.8 billion based on net debt of $1.5 billion, after giving effect to the recently closed sale of a two-acre parcel

Blackstone has been facing public criticism over the firm's aggressive investment in residential real-estate across the US that have bolstered its status as America's largest landlord.

The PE firm has been ravenously gobbling up property - both commercial and residential - for years now. But only recently did criticism of its efforts (which we have been reporting on for years) become a bipartisan issue, as JB Vance, the "Hillbilly Elegy" author and Senate candidate, slammed BlackRock and other Wall Street firms for buying up homes.

During the first quarter of 2021, Blackstone dumped billions into bets on the post-COVID travel and tourism turnaround (which, as we noted earlier, is in danger of being delayed by the rise of media fearmongering about the "Delta" variant) buying hotels and investing in private-jet operators and other travel-linked businesses).

WHO Europe leader warns of new wave as Covid cases creep up after 10-week decline across continent

A 10-week decline in Covid cases in Europe has ended as infections rise, prompting the head of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) European branch to implore citizens and decision makers to exercise caution.

Hans Kluge raised concern over the 10% rise in new coronavirus infections in Europe and warned that “there will be a new wave in the WHO European region unless we remained disciplined.”

The WHO leader said that cases have risen due to a combination of the easing of social distancing measures and the restarting of travel.

Along with this, the Delta variant – a highly transmissible Covid strain that is suspected of originating in India – poses a new challenge to European leaders, healthcare systems, and citizens alike.

Kluge further reinforced the importance of vaccination across the continent and how it can decrease the spread of the virus, thus diminishing further hospitalizations and mortality rates. His demand for people to get vaccinated echoes his statement in March that “vaccines present our best way out of this pandemic,” when he slammed the slow rollout of vaccines on the continent as “unacceptable.”

As of June 30, 61% of adults in the EU received their first dose of a coronavirus vaccine, according to data from the European Commission. Being fully vaccinated and receiving two doses has been found to be the most effective way of diminishing the chances of being hospitalized or spreading the infection, according to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.

17 injured, including LAPD cops and ATF agent, in botched disposal of 5,000 pounds of confiscated fireworks

At least 17 people were injured in Los Angeles on Wednesday after an attempt to safely detonate an enormous stockpile of confiscated fireworks caused an uncontrolled explosion that tore through the neighborhood.

The explosion occurred during a botched disposal operation, after police confiscated more than 5,000 pounds (2,3000 kilos) of hand-made fireworks earlier in the afternoon. The stockpile was loaded into a bomb squad vehicle when it detonated.

Los Angeles Police Chief Michael Moore told reporters that at least 17 people were injured, including nine police officers and an agent from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Local media outlets and at least one bystander captured the incident on video, showing an armored box containing the fireworks as it erupted, destroying both the container and the flatbed truck that was carrying it. The blast damaged buildings and several cars that were parked nearby.

The fireworks were seized from a 27-year-old man accused of bringing the explosives in from out of state to resell for the Independence Day weekend. The suspect faces charges of possession of a destructive device, and he may face additional charges for child endangerment because his 10-year-old brother lives with him, Moore said, as quoted by local media.

Xi Gives Blistering Taiwan "Reunification" Speech, Vowing Foreign Meddlers Will "Get Their Heads Bashed"

China's President Xi Jinping issued a blistering "warning" to the West in a Thursday speech marking the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party. The most provocative part of the roughly hour-long address given from Tiananmen Square focused on Taiwan and thwarting foreign forces' efforts at "meddling" in China's affairs and in the region (read: American and its allies).

The gray Mao suit clad Chinese leader said the nation is committed to the "reunification" of Taiwan and ensuring continued "stability" in Hong Kong, vowing that any outside "bullying" powers will inevitably "get their heads bashed".

The ceremony was a huge affair complete with flyovers of warplanes which included J-20 stealth jets and helicopters carry large national flags. Among the address themes was an emphasis on the continued rapid modernization of the armed forces in order for the Chinese people to continue resisting being "enslaved" to foreign powers.

"The Chinese people have never bullied, oppressed or enslaved the people of other countries," Xi said. "It has never done so in the past, does not do so now and will never do so in the future. At the same time, the Chinese people will never allow any outside forces to bully, oppress or enslave us. Anyone who tries to do so will be crushed to death before the Great Wall of steel built with the flesh and blood of over 1.4 billion Chinese people," Xi warned as a large crowd cheered.

Specifically invoking Taiwan and Hong Kong, Xi went on: "No one should underestimate the strong determination, firm will and strong ability of the Chinese people to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity," according to Nikkei.

Parents Thought This Cop Was Protecting Their Kids at School — He was Raping Them

Clearwater County, MI — While most parents of school children in the United States will take comfort in knowing a police officer is at their child’s school, all too often, school cops are caught committing the vilest of offenses. As the following case out of Clearwater County, Michigan illustrates, “protection and safety” are the last things the students of Bagley High School received from their school cop.

Neil Dolan, 34, who was a deputy with the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office, was charged in 2019 with multiple counts of criminal sexual misconduct after a 9th grader came forward and told investigators that this armed man, in his full police uniform, forced them to have sex with him inside the school office. His alleged victim was just 15-years-old at the time of the assault.

Since then, another 14-year-old girl came forward with similar accusations and this week, Dolan pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal sexual conduct, and second-degree criminal sexual conduct for the rape of the two children. Another second-degree criminal sexual charge and a third-degree criminal sexual charge were dismissed with a plea agreement, according to the Bemidji Pioneer.

According to two criminal complaints, one filed in November 2019 and another with additional charges in March 2020, Dolan groomed students at Bagley High School and would offer snacks, treats, drinks and other incentives to students while in his office, where he would often lock the doors and cover the windows.

He would communicate with a number of students via Snapchat, including sending photos of his penis. Snapchat is a messaging app where photos and messages only appear for a certain amount of time unless they’re saved or screenshots are taken.

The complaints state that two students, when they were 14 or 15 years old, spanning from 2016 to 2019, were assaulted in Dolan’s office at the school. Both students asked Dolan to stop. Dolan would then ask them not to tell anybody, saying he could get in trouble.

At the time of his arrest in 2019, Clearwater County Sheriff Darin Halverson said this caught the entire department by surprise as Dolan has been with them for nearly a decade. The sheriff told reporters that there were no signs of misconduct on the part of Dolan, who plays other roles in the Clearwater County community, including emergency manager and football coach, according to the Pioneer.

‘Communists Did The Right Thing’: Berkshire Hathaway Chief Charlie Munger Praises CCP’s Authoritarianism, Oppression.

Charlie Munger – the billionaire investor and Berkshire Hathaway Vice Chairman – insisted the “Communists did the right thing” while talking about the Chinese regime’s oppression of it citizens and businessmen in China.

Following criticism of the Chinese Communist Party’s financial and regulatory system, Ma disappeared for months from the public eye. Many suspected he had been arrested or even killed by the Chinese Communist Party.

While Ma has since been seen in public, Chinese authorities have summoned him for questioning and quashed his forthcoming Ant Group initial public offering (IPO).

To Munger, however, the “Communists did the right thing.”

The establishment Republican billionaire, who claimed Donald Trump wasn’t “morally qualified” to be President, made the claim on a CNBC feature with Becky Quick focused on his relationship with his longtime business partner Warren Buffet.

Speaking about financial regulation in the U.S., Munger asserted that “the communist Chinese behave the way I am talking in favor of, and our own wonderful free enterprise economy is letting all these crazy people go to this gross excess.”

“People who are avoiding it are the communist Chinese. They step in preemptively to stop speculation,” he added.

When the interview interjects to bring up what the Chinese Communists has “done to Jack Ma,” Munger replies, “that amuses me, you know?”

Figures from Facebook have revealed that “conservative” commentator Ben Shapiro has paid the Big Tech company over $3 million in advertising money since 2018.

The figures, available in the advertising transparency section for Facebook pages, show that the official Ben Shapiro page spent $2,923,526 dollars on adverts “related to social issues, elections or politics” from the 7th May 2018 until 25th June 2021, the most recent reporting date. In the last week reported, the page spent $5,746 in total.

Biden mentions ‘good’ side of Florida condo collapse during site visit

President Biden struck an odd tone near the site of the Florida building collapse Thursday as he talked about finding a “good” side to the disaster that left at least 18 dead and nearly 150 missing.

“You know what’s good about this?” Biden said at a briefing with local leaders. “It lets the nation know we can cooperate and when it’s really important.”

Biden added, “I just got back from 12 days in Europe. You wonder whether we can do this. And you’re doing it. I mean, just the simple act of everybody doing whatever needs to be done.”

Eighteen bodies have been recovered from the rubble and 145 people remain missing and are feared dead after the collapse of the beachfront building in Surfside, north of Miami.

Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, sitting to Biden’s right at a table in Surfside, thanked the president for federal support in the eight-day rescue operation, which was paused Thursday due to safety concerns.

“This is your show. We just want to make sure [you have] whatever you need,” Biden told DeSantis.

DeSantis applauded the federal response, saying, “You guys have not only been supportive at the federal level, but we’ve had no bureaucracy. When we’re dealing with FEMA, we’re literally getting requests routed from local to state to federal in no time and the approval is happening.”

The Republican governor added, “What we just need now is we need a little bit of luck and a little bit of prayers, and we would like to be able to see some miracles happen.”

Biden is expected to meet privately with the family members of victims Thursday afternoon before returning to the White House.

During a brief pep talk to local police and other emergency response workers around noon, Biden said, “I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you,” before veering off topic.

“As you all know, it’s not only what you’re dealing with now, but your brothers and sisters across this country are having more pressure put on them because of the drought, because when you have 121 degrees heats up in Vancouver you really got a problem,” Biden said.

“I was on the Zoom call yesterday with all the Western governors and you know what they’re asking for? They need more firefighters… because, you know, last year the fire season didn’t start this early. And enough places burned down, enough territory burned to the ground — more than, bigger than the size of Rhode Island. And already it’s started early.”

Biden also told the emergency personnel about how his first wife and daughter were killed in a 1972 car accident, with the “jaws of life” being used to free his two young sons.

Hunter Biden used Joe’s VP perks to pursue deal with Carlos Slim

Hunter Biden used the perks of the vice presidency — parties, meetings with Joe Biden and flights on Air Force Two — to pursue business deals with Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim while his father was in office, records show.

Hunter’s involvement with Slim, at one time the world’s richest man, commenced soon after a White House state dinner the magnate attended in May 2010, along with Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, to honor Mexican President Felipe Calderon.

The diary on Hunter’s abandoned laptop shows he and Slim were both guests at a State Department luncheon during Calderon’s visit, which was hosted by his father and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Spanish tenor Placido Domingo also reportedly attended.

The charmed path that always opens for Hunter when his father meets a foreign leader or oligarch led him to Mexico on a VIP trip the following year. Hunter’s diary in May 2011 shows a “tentative tour hosted by Carlos Slim” of the tycoon’s private “Soumaya Museum,” in Mexico City, which Slim founded and named after his late wife, Soumaya Domit. Containing priceless sculptures from pre-Spanish Mesoamerica, it is the most visited museum in the country. There could be no greater honor offered to Hunter than a private tour with the billionaire founder.

Hunter also had breakfast with Slim’s friend, Mexican billionaire Carlos Bremer, at his magnificent villa in the shadow of the Sierra Madre Oriental mountain range in Monterrey. Bremer, former director of the country’s stock exchange, had donated millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation and sat on the foundation’s board.

House Passes $715 Billion Surface Transportation Bill Amid Bipartisan Infrastructure Negotiations

The House of Representatives passed its five-year surface transportation bill worth $715 billion Thursday as the White House and senators work to gather enough congressional support for their own infrastructure plan.

The INVEST Act allocates $343 billion to roads, bridges and related safety measures, $109 billion to public transit, $95 billion to freight and passenger rail, $117 billion to drinking water infrastructure and $51 billion to wastewater infrastructure.

The bill passed 221 to 201 on a near party-line vote.

Its passage follows an agreement between President Joe Biden and a bipartisan group of senators on a $579 billion infrastructure plan.

Oregon Democratic Rep. Peter DeFazio, the chair of the House Transportation Committee and the House bill’s author, has yet to say whether the House and Senate will work through the differences in the two bills in order to reach a compromise that is likely to pass both chambers, noting that details of the bipartisan agreement have yet to be released.

First Lady Jill Biden — who is featured on the August cover of Vogue after the fashion magazine broke a decades-long tradition by snubbing former First Lady Melania Trump during her four years in the White House — says people can “breathe again,” now that former President Donald Trump is out of office. Mrs. Biden said President Joe Biden came in and “heal[ed] this nation.”

“During the campaign, I felt so much anxiety from people — they were scared,” Jill Biden told Vogue. “When I travel around the country now, I feel as though people can breathe again.”

Jill Biden claimed “people wanted someone to come in and heal this nation,” adding that her husband has accomplished by “getting shots in everybody’s arms.”

To be clear, under Joe Biden, violent crime is surging in Democrat-run cities, inflation is hiking prices and depressing purchasing power for working Americans, a reported one million migrants have illegally crossed the border into the U.S. since October, and expanded federal unemployment payments continue to slow down growth in states that keep paying people not to work.

In March, President Biden claimed credit for the speedy manufacturing and distribution of coronavirus vaccines ordered by then-President Trump.

“But also… he’s just a calmer president,” Jill Biden went on to say in her interview with Vogue. “He lowers the temperature.”

The first lady also complained to Vogue about how “people pay attention to every little detail” when it comes to what she is wearing, including the time in April, when she wore what many said appeared to be fishnet stockings while departing from Air Force One.

“It’s kind of surprising, I think, how much commentary is made about what I wear or if I put my hair in a scrunchie,” she said. “Or the stocking thing… Fishnetgate? — it’s amazing how much people pay attention to every little detail.”

UK Methodists Agree to Same Sex Marriages in Churches

The conference of the Methodist Church of Great Britain has overwhelmingly backed same-sex marriages taking place in their churches, claiming in the new standing order “that marriage can be between any two people”.

The Methodist church revealed on Wednesday that the conference voted by a large margin — 254 in favour, 46 against — of a resolution stating that it “consents in principle to the marriage of same-sex couples on Methodist premises… by Methodist ministers”.

Papers released show that the standing orders removed reference to the Methodist Church believing that marriage is “a gift of God” and altered the phase that “it is God’s intention that a marriage should be a life-long union in body, mind and spirit of one man and one woman” to “two people who freely enter it” — removing the specification of a Biblical marriage between one man and one woman.

Andrea Williams, chief executive of the campaign group Christian Concern, said in response to the vote: “I’m deeply sad to see the Methodist Church lose its way by no longer upholding marriage as God defines it.”

Mrs Williams continued: “God’s plan for sex is one man, one woman marriage. Every Christian should be ready to believe that God’s pattern for our lives is the best way for individuals and society to flourish. Every church denomination – including Methodists and the Church of England – should confidently proclaim this vision, rather than mirror the zeitgeist.”

The church, which has been in talks with the state’s Church of England for years to reunite, then followed the standing order with the confusing statement that “within the Methodist Church this is understood in two ways: that marriage can only be between a man and a woman; that marriage can be between any two people.”

Christian Concern’s head of public policy Tim Dieppe remarked on the two positions that the “Methodist Church decides it doesn’t know what marriage is. It had decided to affirm two contradictory views on marriage. If you will affirm a formal contradiction, then you’ll affirm anything, and you don’t really have any convictions.”

The Church Times says it has been informed that the first same-sex marriages could take place on church grounds by the Autumn of 2021.

Top Academic Cancelled by Facebook After Discussing Own Research Work on Propaganda, Misinformation

Receiving a lifetime ban for discussing his own areas of academic expertise on propaganda, disinformation, and political marketing could only be down to either “very thick people” or an algorithm with no nuance ruling the roost at Facebook, a UK professor has said.

Professor Nicholas O’Shaughnessy, an Emeritus and Visiting Professor at two London University colleges and a Cambridge Quondam Fellow received a sudden and complete ban on his long-standing account with Facebook for — he believes — discussing his published and widely cited academic work on the site.

The veteran academic received an email from Facebook on June 26th informing him: “Your account has been permanently disabled for not following the Facebook Community Standards. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to reactivate it for any reason. This will be our last message regarding your account.”

The tech giant did not provide any explanation of what the breach actually was.

Professor O’Shaughnessy told Breitbart London that he subsequently wrote to Facebook directly, providing academic credentials and how his latest book will even touch on “the apparent ubiquity and irrationality of Facebook’s censorship activities”, challenging the social media giant to reconsider its decision. He received no reply.

Speaking to Breitbart, Professor O’Shaughnessy reflected on the irony of the situation where a prominent researcher of information control and propaganda found himself so arbitrarily silenced, and reflected on the possibility that discussions on Facebook arising from his recent works may have been a driving factor.

Biden Admin Releases 10K Unaccompanied Alien Children into U.S.

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) continues the rapid pace of releasing unaccompanied alien children (UAC). A Wednesday HHS report notes the Biden Administration released 10,189 to sponsors in the U.S. throughout June.

The number of UACs in federal custody dropped from a high of nearly 23,000 in May to 15,550 on Wednesday, due in part to the speed at which they are being released. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas deployed a volunteer workforce from multiple federal agencies to assist HHS to quickly process, transfer, and ultimately release the UACs to sponsors.

One Member of Congress believes the Biden Administration should seek out professionals to deal with the children. In a statement released Wednesday, Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) highlighted the border crisis in the House Appropriation Committee’s first full markup for Fiscal Year 2022.

Gonzales spoke in support of Congressman Ken Calvert’s (CA) amendment requiring an emergency declaration from the president before deploying federal employees to the southern border:

Every day I’m on the border. Every day I see unaccompanied children, by the thousands, that are left alone. Regardless of their legal status, these are innocent children, and we cannot have volunteers taking care of these children. We have to have professionals. In El Paso, there is 1,600 unaccompanied children at Fort Bliss, 120 of which have been there for greater than two months. This is a national crisis that deserves the attention if we are going to solve this, beyond just pushing a political football around.

The flow of unaccompanied migrant children is still in full swing. As HHS released the UACs to sponsors in June, more than 8,000 more were apprehended and placed in Border Patrol custody–resulting in marginal reductions to the total number of UACs detained.

Health and Human Services opened more than a dozen Emergency Intake Sites to deal with the influx of migrant children. These facilities make use of vacant oilfield man camps, buildings, and COVID-shuttered convention centers.

These unlicensed facilities faced criticism due to insufficient staffing, drinking water issues, and COVID-19 protections. Earlier this year, Texas Governor Greg Abbott sharply criticized the Biden Administration over conditions at multiple HHS detention facilities, specifically citing a water issue in Midland plus a COVID-19 outbreak in Carrizo Springs.

HHS estimates the cost to detain a child in Emergency Intake Sites is $775 per day. In other long-term facilities, they indicate that cost to be approximately $275 per day. Based on these estimates and the number of UACs currently in custody, the cost to the American taxpayer stands at nearly $6 million daily.

In 1992 “Agenda 21” was made public by the United Nations at a UN Conference on Environment and Development held in Rio De Janeiro and signed by 178 countries. The new laws called "Agenda 2030" are being finalized at the "Sustainable Development Summit" to be held in New York City from September 25th through the 27th. Agenda 21 focused primarily on the environment; the 2030 Agenda is the foundation for governing the entire planet. It encompasses climate change and the areas of economics, health, energy, education, agriculture, gender equality, and social justice. The UN is hailing it as a new universal Agenda for all of humanity.

Agenda 2030 is a plan of action for the people, the planet, and prosperity. It will require the collaboration of all countries acting in partnership to take bold and transformative steps to place the world on a more sustainable path. In essence, this is a plan for transforming global society.

These are some interesting concepts that must be questioned. I admit many of them sound pretty good; I would even go so far as to say admirable. But upon closer inspection, these 17 goals and the 169 targets that are a part of them appear to be nothing more than globalism at its worst.

It will give the United Nations and those elite who have been working for a one-world government for many years the opportunity to micromanage the lives of every man, woman, and child on the planet. These are the same elites who tell us that liberty and freedom are "Dangerous," and we can't have everyone going around the earth just doing what they want.

America’s Defense Industry is a Corrupt, Incompetent Mess

The glory days of military innovation are behind us, spelling trouble for national security in the future.

In 2016, the Pentagon was confident enough in the troubled F-35 program that it extended the fighter’s projected service life from 2064 to 2070. Now, some of the $80-million aircraft may be written off well before then, despite spending 15 years in development and less than a decade in service.

A few weeks ago, a top general indicated that the Air Force is considering retiring older F-35s instead of retrofitting them with the many upgrades and fixes that have piled up throughout the fighter’s short time in service. The Marine Corps may also be forced to retire some of its F-35s in a few years. A recent Pentagon report warned that the aircraft’s many structural problems, some of which are still unresolved, could mean that older aircraft could cease to be airworthy as soon as 2026. Worse, it’s still not clear whether upgrades which were applied to later production models have actually improved their durability. Many of the Marines’ F-35s could end up serving out less than a quarter of their anticipated lifespan.

In both cases, “older” is a relative term: F-35 production started in 2006. The Marines’ F-35B model entered limited service in 2015, and the Air Force rolled out its F-35A variant just over a year later. And the F-35 isn’t the only expensive toy—almost $1.2 trillion for the entire program—that’s on the chopping block much earlier than originally planned. In February, the Navy announced that it would be decommissioning four of its Littoral Combat Ships: the USS Freedom, Independence, Coronado, and Fort Worth, the oldest of which only entered service in 2008. Meanwhile, the Navy is having trouble identifying a mission for its $16 billion LCS fleet, which will require another $61 billion to maintain and operate throughout its lifespan, assuming the rest of the ships actually remain in service as long as they’re supposed to.

As one observer recently pointed out, the Defense Department’s convoluted and wasteful acquisitions process is a symptom of a more fundamental problem, which is that the United States lacks a coherent global strategy and is blind to the limitations of its power. So it’s worth taking a look at what research, development, and fielding of new weapons looked like when America had a clear mission—and when the American defense sector championed merit over politics. In order for future developments such as the Air Force’s promising Next Generation Air Dominance program to succeed, the defense industry must learn some important lessons, not just from the failures of the F-35, the LCS, and other projects, but also from a time when the American technology sector was at its peak ingenuity and drive.

LA City Council to vote on proposal to ban homeless camps in some public areas

The council voted 12 to 3 in favor of drafting a law, which will face a vote Thursday

The Los Angeles City Council voted Tuesday to draft new rules that would prevent homeless people from camping in certain areas as a means of restoring access to public spaces.

In an overwhelming vote of support 12 to three, council members tasked the city’s lawyers to draw up a law prohibiting sleeping, lying and storing possessions near a number of public areas, including schools, parks, libraries and homeless shelters.

A second vote is scheduled for Thursday, The L.A. Times reported.

"They want to be able to use their parks and their sidewalks and their libraries," said Councilman Paul Krekorian, in reference to Los Angeles residents.

"They want to be able to go into the entrance of their business," Krekorian explained. "They want to be able to know that when they pull into a parking lot, they don’t have to worry about running someone over when they’re going through the driveway."

These "tent cities" have grown across Los Angeles. Long lines of tents have appeared along the beach and various sidewalks across the city.

The Biden-Harris administration is now in an extended levitation of credibility. Except for Donald Trump, who entered office in the midst of a public relations terror campaign against him and had no trace of a political honeymoon, all incoming presidents arrive with a favoring wind of bipartisan goodwill behind them.

In service to that credo, from Inauguration Day they have taken the position that they would do the reverse of anything Trump did: outright reaction unsupported by any analysis. Nothing else is conceivable as an explanation for their southern border policy.

As Vice President Harris checked the box by going to El Paso, 800 miles away from the more agitated areas of illegal southern entry last week, she repeated the mantra that this administration inherited a mess. The polls are unanimous in indicating that the public realizes they did not inherit a mess; they inherited the almost complete end of illegal immigration and they squandered it instantly and jubilantly by effectively inviting the world to enter while having the hapless Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas repeat like a Disney World self-propelled puppet “The border is closed.”

Television viewers can switch channels from that almost daily pronunciamento to see illegal immigrants swarming across by land and through water. Illegal immigration is now running at the rate of two million a year, which is an unsustainable level of entry of almost entirely unskilled people who will severely strain the social and educational and public security services of the southern border states.

It is a crisis closing in upon a disaster, and the public can already see it approaching. All that can be said for the vice president’s visit to El Paso, where she was welcomed by the gushy local Democratic congresswoman to the “21st Century Ellis Island,” (where people arrived legally and some were rejected), is that it was nothing like as great a fiasco as her visit to Mexico and Guatemala three weeks ago.

There she conspicuously failed to excite the enthusiasm of the American public to deluge more billions of dollars into those improvident areas in order to tackle “the sources of the problem”—the ancient liberal death wish of turning America’s pockets inside out to fight poverty in poor foreign countries by enriching their avaricious politicians.

Daily Beast writer trashes Rumsfeld hours after his death, says only 'tragic' thing is that 'killer of 400,000' didn’t die in an ‘Iraqi prison’

In a scathing op-ed published Wednesday only hours after Donald Rumsfeld's passing, Daily Beast contributing editor Spencer Ackerman mounted a full-on assault on the late defense secretary's legacy, instructing readers not to mourn him — but "his victims."

Rumsfeld, a towering and respected figure in American politics who twice served as defense secretary, died Wednesday afternoon surrounded by family at the age of 88. But according to Ackerman, his passing doesn't amount to a tragedy.

"The only thing tragic about the death of Donald Rumsfeld is that it didn't occur in an Iraqi prison," seethed Ackerman. "Yet that was foreordained, considering how throughout his life inside the precincts of American national security, Rumsfeld escaped the consequences of decisions he made that ensured a violent, frightening end for hundreds of thousands of people."

While it's true that Rumsfeld's storied career and reputation as a skilled bureaucrat will almost certainly be tarnished to some degree by the long and costly Iraq War, precipitated under his leadership, Ackerman's eagerness to throw dirt on Rumsfeld's name no more than a day after his passing smacks of indecency.

In the op-ed, Ackerman lamented that Rumsfeld "never faced any accountability for what he did, only political eclipse." So it appears he thought it his journalistic responsibility to bring that accountability now in the form of a postmortem hit piece.

In that way, Ackerman would put Rumsfeld in an "elite category of responsibility" for the approximately 400,000 deaths that resulted from his "wars of choice" in Afghanistan and Iraq, putting the blame squarely "on his head."

By classifying the U.S. war in Iraq as an "unprovoked war of aggression" pushed only by Rumsfeld and a couple of others, Ackerman was able to put the blood primarily on his hands, alongside former President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

Despite apparently never meeting Rumsfeld, Ackerman characterized the political figure as "cruel," "indignant," and a "con man" who had a "cold indifference to the suffering of others." He told lies "as easily as he breathed," the writer suggested.

In a strange parting shot, Ackerman even mocked the hobbled gait that accompanied Rumsfeld in his old age.

"For the potency and vigor Rumsfeld wanted to project, he moved delicately. An elderly man, he walked starting with his hips, swaying one foot outward before sweeping the other one forward, slow half-moons of motion as he carefully descended the hill north of Dupont Circle," Ackerman wrote.

"How frail was this man who can lay claim to the deaths of at least 415,000 people, and how bitter it is that unlike them, his name will be remembered, even in infamy," he concluded.

The disgraced comedian, once known as 'America's dad', left state prison in suburban Montgomery County Wednesday after serving less than three years of a three to 10 year sentence for drugging and sexually assaulting Temple University sports administrator Andrea Constand at his home in Pennsylvania in 2004.

His release came after Pennsylvania's highest court threw out his conviction, ruling that the prosecutor who brought the case was bound by his predecessor's promise not to prosecute him.

The shock overturning of his sentence comes as a major blow to the #MeToo movement and the at least 60 women who came forward to accuse the comedian of sexual assault and misconduct, with many of them speaking out Wednesday to condemn the ruling.

Failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams now owns two homes in Georgia worth over $1.4 million despite being in hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt a couple years ago.

Recall, in 2018, Stacey Abrams owed the IRS $54,000 and had more than $400,000 in consumer debt/ total liabilities owed.

Now she owns 2 homes and her $54,000 IRS debt has been settled.

Abrams defended her financial problems in 2018 and said her debt should not disqualify her for governor of Georgia.

Abrams, who earned a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School, blamed her debt on racism despite making $95,000 a year at her first law firm job.

“Race and gender play a major role in determining just how big of a financial disadvantage we’re likely to face,” Abrams wrote in Fortune.

And just like that, Abrams went from being hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt to owning $1.4 million in real estate and profiting from local elections in Georgia and across the US – making millions to run our elections.

Since her electoral failure, though, Abrams has made a series of property purchases in DeKalb County that have been scrubbed from the county tax assessor’s website, according to records obtained by Fox News.

Most county tax assessors in the state of Georgia, such as in Abrams’ DeKalb County, have a searchable database for property information, but individuals can request to have their information taken offline.

The former state lawmaker bought her first townhome in DeKalb County for $246,300 in 2004 and purchased a second home in the area in 2019 for $370,000 that is now valued at $409,400.

Fast-forward to October 2020, just days before the presidential election. Abrams simultaneously sold the home she bought in 2004 for $400,000 and bought a new second home for $975,000.

The home Abrams purchased in October of last year is now valued at $1,003,934.

The two houses are worth a combined $1.4 million, illustrating that Abrams has seen a significant financial tailwind since her failed 2018 campaign.

Microsoft Exec Spills the Beans, US Overusing Secret Subpoena Power to Surveil Americans

A senior Microsoft executive spilled the beans in prepared testimony to the Congress that the US government is overusing it’s secret subpoena power to surveil vast amounts of data on American citizens.

“The United States government is overusing its secret subpoena power to routinely gather vast amounts of data on American internet users, a senior Microsoft executive said in prepared testimony to Congress released on Wednesday.

In remarks for a U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee hearing, the executive said that in the last five years Microsoft had received 2,400 to 3,500 secrecy orders a year and that U.S. courts provided little by way of meaningful oversight.

Tom Burt, a vice president for customer security and trust, said that American law enforcement was ordering Microsoft to stay quiet about between one third to one quarter of the requests for data that it received, “developing a practice of reflexively asking to keep even routine investigations secret.”

“Providers, like Microsoft, regularly receive boilerplate secrecy orders unsupported by any meaningful legal or factual analysis,” Burt told lawmakers. “Many of these orders should never have been approved by the courts.”

The panel called a hearing into secrecy orders in the wake of revelations that the U.S. Department of Justice during Donald Trump’s administration had secretly sought the phone records of reporters and Democratic representatives to investigate the leak of classified material.

Word of the investigations outraged lawmakers and blew new life into efforts to rein in the federal government’s domestic surveillance powers.

Burt said that while the effort to target lawmakers and reporters disturb many Americans, “what may be most shocking is just how routine court-mandated secrecy has become when law enforcement targets Americans’ emails, text messages, and other sensitive data stored in the cloud.”

Burt called for ending indefinite secrecy orders, boosting transparency around their use, forcing the government to notify targets of such orders once their time was up, and raising the bar on such orders to prevent what he described as the current “rubberstamping process.””

US intelligence agencies and other parts of the federal government are watching us and using our data to spy on us.

This is outrageous and needs to be reigned in immediately.

That said, the odds that Congress or the White House will take any action to remedy this situation is slim to none.

Top Leaders Again Reject Claims that Military Is Becoming Too 'Woke'

The service chiefs for the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard pushed back Wednesday on the assertion that the armed services are “increasingly woke and more concerned about social issues than warfighting.’’

Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Gilday, Marine Corps Commandant Gen. David Berger and Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Karl Schultz were asked that question by Robert Work, a former deputy defense secretary and moderator for the virtual panel at the annual West naval conference.

The comments are the latest in a string of top military officials defending policies aimed at making the military more inclusive and combating extremism in the ranks.

“I think it's an assertion that isn't really grounded on facts,” Gilday said. “We know that there's strength in diversity; that is a scientifically proven fact.’’

Gilday explained that he saw his efforts to harness and address diversity within the Navy as a way to build a stronger force.

“We know that esprit de corps within particularly our small units or ships, as an example, is an incredibly important part of combat effectiveness,” Gilday said.

A Defense Department report on diversity in December 2020 noted that, across all branches, officers were less diverse than the eligible civilian population – with Blacks, Hispanics and Asians all being underrepresented.

“Notably, the officer corps is significantly less racially and ethnically diverse than the enlisted population,” the report said.

Among the enlisted, Blacks, Hispanics, and people of multiracial origins are overrepresented in the active-duty numbers while white people are significantly less represented.

This is not the first time Gilday has defended his methods on diversity within the Navy. On June 15, Gilday faced pointed questions from Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., during a House Armed Services Committee hearing over his inclusion of Ibram X. Kendi’s “How To Be An Antiracist” on his reading list.

“I am not going to sit here and defend cherry-picked quotes from somebody’s book,” Gilday said in response to Banks’ questions. “This is a bigger issue than Kendi’s book. What this is really about is trying to paint the United States military, and the United States Navy as weak, as woke.

“We are not weak. We are strong.’’

Berger echoed the sentiments of Gilday on Wednesday and also alluded to remarks made by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Mark Milley at a congressional hearing last week.

“There's some places on Earth, maybe more than a handful, where you're not allowed to read books. … You're only allowed to read this, and you're only allowed to espouse that,” Berger said.

“The great part about Americans – it's not run that way.’’
