I still contend that 8/pol/ is the best place to go for esoteric discussion, although you have to dig it find it these days. It's really not the same as 4/pol/.
If you're looking for more a more normie-friendly esoteric community, try Reddit's /r/C_S_T. I know Reddit is awful, but that community is a step above the rest of that garbage website and I suspect many of the prominent posters there are secret /pol/lacks.
