COLOMBO (News 1st); Several more suspects were arrested for Child Sex Trafficking following the revelation of an incident where a 15-year-old girl-child was sexually exploited.

Police Spokesperson Senior DIG Ajith Rohana 04 of the suspects were arrested on Friday (02) afternoon and among them is a gem businessman, the skipper of a vessel and members of his crew.

Another suspect was arrested on Friday (02) night in connection to the Child Sex Trafficking ring.

A 15-year-old girl was sexually exploited by an individual in Mount Lavinia via social media outlets and the main suspect in connection with the incident was arrested on the 07th of June, by a special team led by Headquarter-Inspector of Mount Lavinia.

As of Saturday (03), 26 people have been arrested over the crime and another 16 people have been identified for committing the crime of statutory rape as well as procuration and human trafficking, said the Police Spokesperson.

Among those arrested are, the mother of the victim, another woman, a three-wheeler driver, a car driver, the individual who designed the advertisement, and the Deputy-Chairman of the Mihintale Pradeshiya Sabha, said the Senior DIG Ajith Rohana.

The 15-year-old female victim had been exploited for three months and she had been handed over to various people to be exploited.

Police teams are investigating social media messaging apps over the crime.

Hundreds of US companies hit by ‘colossal’ cyberattack before July 4th

At least 200 US companies were hit by a major cyberattack just before the Fourth of July holiday kicked off.

Huntress Labs, a cyber-security firm, said the “colossal” ransomware attack occurred first at Kaseya, a Florida-based IT company, and then spread through the corporate networks that use its software, the BBC reported Saturday.

Huntress said the Russia-linked REvil ransomware gang was probably responsible. Kaseya said on its website that it was looking into a “potential attack.”

Kaseya said a “small number” of firms had been impacted, but Huntress said it was about 200. Kaseya has a presence in over 10 countries and more than 10,000 customers.

The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency said in a statement that it was taking action to address the attack.

The cyber-breach surfaced Friday afternoon.

Former Police Officer Recounts Witnessing ‘Industrialized’ Organ Harvesting in China

At the sound of gunshots, prisoners fell lifeless to the ground. Their bodies, still warm, were carried to a nearby white van where two white-clad doctors awaited. Behind closed doors, they were cut open, the organs carved out for sale on the transplant market.

The grisly scene, which sounds more like the plot of a horror movie, took place in China more than 20 years ago at the direction of state authorities. It was witnessed by Bob (pseudonym), then a police officer who provided security at the execution sites where death-row prisoners were executed.

“The harvesting of death-row prisoners’ organs was an open secret,” Bob, a former public security officer from central China’s Zhengzhou City who is now based in the United States, told The Epoch Times in an interview.

Bob described being an unwitting participant in an “industrialized” supply chain that converted living humans into products for sale in the organ trade. The players in this macabre industry include the judicial system, police, prisons, doctors, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials who issue the directive.

The former officer used a pseudonym in sharing his experience to protect his safety. The Epoch Times has verified his police ID and other personal information.

His account from the mid-1990s sheds light on one stage in the disturbing evolution of the CCP’s long-running practice of harvesting organs from non-consenting donors. While Bob witnessed organ extraction from prisoners who were already dead, in the following years the regime would go on to implement—and deploy on a mass scale—a practice far more sinister: harvesting organs from live prisoners of conscience, particularly Falun Gong practitioners.

Over the years, evidence mounted pointing to a sprawling system of live organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience orchestrated by the CCP. In 2019, an independent people’s tribunal concluded that the regime, for years, was killing prisoners “on a significant scale” to supply its transplant market, and was continuing the practice. The main victims, the tribunal found, were imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners.

The regime said it banned the use of executed prisoners’ organs in 2015, claiming it would exclusively source from organs from voluntary donors under the organ donation system set up the same year. Bob’s account aligns with those of multiple other eyewitnesses who took part in the opaque organ transplant business in China around the same period.

George Zheng, a former Chinese medical intern, recalled assisting in an organ removal operation in the 1990s alongside two nurses and three military doctors, in a mountainous area near an army prison close to Dalian, a city in northeastern China.

The patient, a young man, was unresponsive but his body was still warm. The doctors had removed two kidneys from the man and then instructed Zheng to extract his eyes.

“At that moment, his eyelids moved and he looked at me,” he told The Epoch Times in 2015. “There was sheer terror in his eyes … My mind went blank and my whole body began to shake.”

The memories of those two eyes haunted Zheng for years.

Joe Biden’s Deputies Celebrate Illegal Migrants at the White House on the Fourth

President Joe Biden’s deputies have invited representatives of illegal migrants to the Independence Day celebration at the White House, marking another effort to blur critical distinctions between Americans and foreigners.

The administration is portraying millions of illegal migrants as worthy “essential workers” because they have taken jobs in critical economic sectors. But more than 50 million Americans work in those sectors and are not getting invites to view the July 4 fireworks from the White House grounds.

But the group includes at least one illegal migrant with a DACA work permit and two migrants with Temporary Protected Status, which are commonly awarded to illegal aliens.

Some members of the group have won legal status, including citizenship, and others are the American children of illegal migrants.

Ten Churches Vandalized in Single Day as Anti-Christian Church Burnings Surge in Canada

Ten churches in Alberta were vandalised in a single day as Canada continues to see churches, primarily Roman Catholic, burned to the ground in several provinces over the past month.

More than ten churches in the province of Alberta were vandalised on Canada’s national holiday of Canada Day, or Dominion Day, on Thursday, with most being vandalised with red paint in an apparent protest against the Roman Catholic church’s role in the Canadian residential school system.

According to a report from the BBC, at least one of the churches vandalised was an African Evangelical church that primarily catered to African refugees who had fled their home countries, often due to churches being burned down and anti-Christian persecution.

“These folks came to Canada with the hope that they could practise their faith peacefully,” Alberta conservative Premier Jason Kenney said, adding: “Some of them are traumatised by such attacks.”

Calgary Police also commented on the various acts of vandalism, noting that one of the churches had a window smashed and that paint that been thrown inside the church as well.

The vandalism attacks come after a wave of churches, some a century or more old, being burned to the ground in suspicious fires in several Canadian provinces. Just days prior to the acts of vandalism, a church in Morinville, Alberta, caught fire and was reduced to ruins. Local police have stated that they are treating the incident as a suspected arson attack.

Premier Kenney later attended the scene of the suspected arson and stated that it “appears to have been a criminal act of hate-inspired violence.”

On June 14th, the 204-year-old St. John’s Anglican Church caught fire on the Six Nations First Nations reserve in Ontario, with a local linking the inferno to protests over the graves discovered in Kamloops.

The Sacred Heart Church in Penticton and St Gregory’s Church on Osoyoos Indian Band lands, both more than 100 years old, were immolated just weeks later, with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) disclosing that both fires were suspicious.

Earlier this week, RCMP reported that two more churches, St. Ann’s Catholic Church on the Upper Similkameen Indian Band and the Chopaka Catholic Church on the Lower Similkameen Indian Band, had been destroyed by fire.

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk and his electric car company Tesla have shared full-blown praise of the Chinese Communist Party on China’s equivalent to Twitter, Breitbart News can reveal.

The verified accounts for Elon Musk and top Chinese Tesla representatives on the Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo have all been adorned with personalised backgrounds celebrating the one hundred year anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP):

The background celebrating the centenary of the CCP does not appear to have been a mandatory feature by the Chinese site, as other users, including one of Tesla’s main accounts, do not feature the communist banner art.

Therefore it is likely that someone who manages Elon Musk and other Tesla social media accounts in China made the decision to honour the murderous regime.

The social media campaign in China comes as the billionaire tech magnate drew criticism this week for celebrating the CCP on Western social media.

On the anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party, Musk posted a response to the CCP’s newswire agency Xinhua on Twitter — a service which is banned in China — saying: “The economic prosperity that China has achieved is truly amazing, especially in infrastructure! I encourage people to visit and see for themselves.”

The Xinhua post Musk responded to was quoting Chinese dictator Xi Jinping, who claimed: “China has realised the first centenary goal — building a moderately prosperous society in all respects. This means that we have brought about a historic resolution to the problem of absolute poverty in China, and we are now marching in confident strides toward the second centenary goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects.”

The false claim that China has eliminated poverty comes from the regime artificially lowering the standard of extreme poverty from the World Bank’s threshold of $1.90 per day to the new communist standard of $1.52 per day.

One of the chief propaganda outlets for the Chinese Communist Party, The Global Times, hailed the pronouncement from Musk and others as confirmation of the party’s supposed success, writing: “Overseas companies congratulated China on its remarkable achievements made under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.”

The CCP mouthpiece went on to quote a post from Volkswagen on its Weibo account which said “look on the past hard times, and look to this age” — a quote from Chinese communist dictator Mao Zedong, who was responsible for the deaths of up to 60 million people during the disastrous ‘Great Leap Forward’ campaign, alone.

Facebook now allowed to label anyone “misinformation” and slander them without recourse

California Senior District Judge Susan Illston has dismissed a lawsuit filed by Children’s Health Defense (CHD) against Facebook, delivering another authoritarian victory to the tech giant.

CHD alleges that Facebook is in violation of the First and Fifth Amendments by “labeling CHD’s content ‘False Information,’ and taking other steps to effectively to [sic] censor or block content from users,” the ruling reads.

At issue is Facebook’s ongoing silencing of users and pages that promote content deemed to interfere with the government’s pro-vaccine agenda.

CHD, as you probably know, has been on the front lines warning parents about the dangers of childhood vaccination, and more recently about the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccines” from the government’s “Operation Warp Speed” program.

Facebook holds to the premise that all vaccines are “safe and effective,” and believes that nobody else should ever be allowed to challenge that premise with freedom of speech. Illston apparently agrees with this, as she sided with Facebook in her ruling.

“CHD does not allege that (Adam) Schiff (or anyone from the government) directed Facebook or Zuckerberg to take any specific action with regard to CHD or its Facebook page,” the ruling further explains.

“Instead, CHD alleges that Schiff pressured Facebook to remove ‘vaccine misinformation’ and later told reporters that ‘if the social media companies can’t exercise a proper standard of care when it comes to a whole variety of fraudulent or illicit content, then we have to think about whether [Section 230] immunity still makes sense.”

The CHD lawsuit pegged Adam Schiff, a California Democrat, for interfering with the First Amendment by contacting Facebook and Google directly to coerce them into censoring all “vaccine misinformation” from their platforms.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a private corporation, also “collaborated at length with Facebook to suppress vaccine safety speech with a ‘warning label’ and other notices that appear to flag disinformation, but in reality censor valid and truthful speech, including speech critical of those agencies and their policies,” the lawsuit claims.

In Illston’s opinion, Facebook did not violate the Fifth Amendment, specifically as it pertains to the ‘takings’ clause, even though it permanently disabled the “donate” button on CHD’s Facebook page.

Doctors: Execution drugs could help COVID-19 patients

A group of medical professionals is asking death penalty states for medications used both for lethal injections and to help coronavirus patients who are on ventilators

HOUSTON – Secrecy surrounding executions could hinder efforts by a group of medical professionals who are asking the nation’s death penalty states for medications used in lethal injections so that they can go to coronavirus patients who are on ventilators, according to a death penalty expert and a doctor who's behind the request.

In a letter sent this month to corrections departments, a group of seven pharmacists, public health experts, and intensive care unit doctors asked states with the death penalty to release any stockpiles they might have of execution drugs to health care facilities.

“Your stockpile could save the lives of hundreds of people; though this may be a small fraction of the total anticipated deaths, it is a central ethical directive that medicine values every life,” according to the letter.

But it's unclear what drugs the states may have, as they have tended to release information about execution protocols and drug supplies only through open records requests or lawsuits. Only one state, Wyoming, responded directly to the letter, and it indicated it doesn’t have the drugs in question.

“I’m not trying to comment on the rightness or wrongness of capital punishment,” said Dr. Joel Zivot, one of the medical professionals who signed the letter. “I’m asking now as a bedside clinician caring for patients, please help me.”

For most people, the new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks. But for some, it can cause severe illness, requiring them to be placed to ventilators to help them breathe.

Many medications used to sedate and immobilize people put on ventilators and to treat their pain are the same drugs that states use to put inmates to death. Demand for such drugs surged 73% in March.

Twenty-five states have the death penalty, while three have moratoriums on capital punishment.

While some states contacted by The Associated Press, including Alabama and Florida, didn’t respond to inquiries about the letter, others, including Arkansas, Texas and Utah, limited their comment to mainly saying they don’t have the medications in question. Tennessee wouldn’t confirm whether it has the drugs and indicated it has no plans to give any medications to a hospital. Oklahoma said it hadn’t received any requests for such medications from state hospitals.

In latest Nuremberg violation, U.S. judge now ordering American citizens to undergo unapproved vaccine medical experiments as requirement for probation

Richard Frye, a “common pleas” judge in Franklin County, Ohio, has ruled in his three most recent cases that Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccination” will now be mandatory as a condition of probation for defendants.

In each of these cases, Frye openly discussed the topic of Chinese Virus injection with the defendants, explaining to them that he believes it is a “reasonable condition” of probation that they roll up their sleeves and alter their DNA.

“It occurred to me that at least some of these folks need to be encouraged not to procrastinate,” Frye told the Columbus Dispatch. “I think it’s a reasonable condition when we’re telling people to get employed and be out in the community.”

Even though Wuhan Flu shots admittedly do not stop the spread, nor do they prevent infection – Fauci Flu shots are also spreading more disease – Frye personally believes that requiring them is normal and acceptable in the “land of the free.”

In one of the cases, a man named Cameron Stringer “entered a guilty plea for one charge of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, for which he was sentenced to two years of probation.” In order to receive probation, however, Stringer had to have his genes modified with Trump Vaccine.

“To assist with his ability to gain employment,” court documents show about Stringer’s case, “Defendant must get the COVID 19 vaccine within 30 days and provide proof to Probation Department.”

Just say no to experimental drugs from the government and Big Pharma

Frye’s ruling in this case along with the others amounts to forced medical experimentation, much like what fascist dictators in the past did to concentration camp prisoners.

The only difference today is that America has become one giant concentration camp where everyone is being told they must get injected in order to “flatten the curve,” or whatever other mindless catch phrase is being thrown around on any given day.

Now we are having to contend with something that the mainstream media and government are calling the “delta variant,” which is supposedly some “mutation” of the Chinese Virus that originated in India.

Next it will be something else, and so on and so forth, until everyone is goaded in one way or another – or forced, in the case of the Franklin County legal system – to get injected for Chinese Germs.

Israel security institute: 'Israel needs to occupy Gaza to deter Hamas'

According to an Israeli security research institute, the repeated failure to deter Hamas makes it necessary for Israel to occupy the Gaza Strip and overthrow the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement.

According to Sama News Agency, in an article written by the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security's Israeli security expert Omer Dostri, Israel has a right: "To adopt a gradual approach in dealing with the various threats facing it."

In his paper, Dostri states that Israel: "Should deal with each threat separately, from the lightest to the heaviest, focusing as much as possible on the most serious threat it is facing, which is Iran's nuclear programme."

Dostri believes: "This approach requires moving first to the policy of deterring Hamas, with the aim of overthrowing its rule, as a step towards the next threat." He argues:

The threat posed by the Gaza Strip is secondary in importance, compared to other threats such as the Lebanese and Iranian fronts, but Hamas's continued armament, and Israel's failure to deter it over the years, increases the threat over time, and it may develop into a threat of equal importance to the Lebanese front.

The Israeli researcher claims that in a multi-battle war: "Israel is expected to fight on three main fronts – Lebanon, the Golan Heights and Gaza, while airstrikes carried out by long-range missiles or explosive devices from Iraq and Yemen provide fertile ground for Iranian military bases, through the Iraqi militias and the Houthis in Yemen, and in such a situation, Hamas may be a force multiplier for Iran's efforts to harm Israel."

After overthrowing Hamas, Dostri urges that: "Israel should turn to strengthening its deterrence against Hezbollah in Lebanon, and then focus exclusively on the threat of Iran's military nuclear programme." In order to reduce the threats against it, Dostri explains, Israel has first to eliminate Hamas: "Because in recent decades, it has become an important governmental force responsible for the Gaza Strip and its residents, making it vulnerable to deterrence due to its fear of losing its control."

He argues that Hamas is still sticking to its "radical Islamic ideology" and that the movement disregards the price of military losses. Ukrainian Foreign Minister: NATO Would Defeat Russia in Black Sea War

Today’s Ukrainian press cites the nation’s foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, confidently voicing a number of assertions regarding the Black Sea – as the U.S.-led, 32-nation Sea Breeze war games are occurring there – not all (or many) of his comments consistent with each other.

For example, he accuses Russia – he does little else in his professional role – of being willing to escalate tensions in the Black Sea region on the one hand, but still avoiding a direct confrontation with NATO as, he affirms, they would lose such a conflict on the other.

With those comments and others, it’s not so much a matter of how much of what he says is true, how much be believes it’s true, how much he’s praising NATO to secure its further support and services, and how much he’s simply blustering – or talking through his hat as the charming if outdated expression has it. What’s important is that the foreign minister of a nation backed uncritically by NATO, the U.S. and the European Union is making provocative claims of the nature he’s making. Claims that at root entail a confrontation between a nuclear power and a military bloc that includes three nuclear powers.

In an interview with the American magazine Newsweek published today he expressed the above convictions in these words:

“I do believe Russia is ready to escalate some local tensions in the Black Sea region, but I do not see them being suicidal. They may pinch and provoke here and there. But Russia will not risk a full-scale confrontation with NATO, clearly realizing they have no chances to succeed in it.”

He appears to be both taunting and attempting to humiliate Russia; simultaneously branding it a bully and a punk. In doing so he’s assured of winning new fans from the demographic that reads such publications. No doubt that was his precise intent.

Once Bulgaria and Romania were inducted into NATO in 2004, and last year Ukraine and Georgia became NATO Enhanced Opportunities Partners, the Black Sea became a NATO preserve. Of the six nations on the sea – Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine – only Russia is not a NATO member or candidate member.

McAuliffe Fundraises With Real Estate Exec Who Pushed Controversial Visa Program To Attract Chinese Investment

VA Dem gov nominee faced federal investigation for 'visa-for-sale scheme'

A top fundraiser for Virginia Democratic gubernatorial nominee Terry McAuliffe solicited Chinese investment in the Washington, D.C., area by floating the prospect of permanent U.S. residency—a move McAuliffe himself exploited to secure lucrative funding from China.

McAuliffe took $15,000 from luxury real estate executive Mark Lowham as part of a private fundraiser held at Lowham's mansion in May. In 2017, Lowham co-authored a book titled Chinese Institutions' Definitive Guide to USA Real Estate, which "aimed to guide Chinese buyers through real estate investing in Washington, D.C."

According to the book, the nation's capital is "one of China's most desirable U.S. markets for real estate investment." Lowham specifically touted the city's ties to American national security institutions, including the Department of Defense and Central Intelligence Agency. He also touted Chinese investors' ability to secure U.S. residency through the EB-5 program, which awards visas to foreign-funded ventures that claim to generate jobs for Americans.

McAuliffe has his own history with the controversial program. During his 2013 run for governor, the Democrat's electric car company faced a federal investigation centered around a "visa-for-sale scheme." McAuliffe partnered with a financial firm run by Hillary Clinton's brother, Anthony Rodham, to attract foreign investment in the company in return for U.S. residency.

McAuliffe and Rodham contacted the Obama administration to expedite the company's EB-5 visa applications after they were held for "fraud" and "national security" concerns, documents released by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) show. In one 2010 email to a Department of Homeland Security staffer, McAuliffe wrote that he was "extremely frustrated" with the approval process and referenced Virginia Democratic senator Mark Warner in an attempt to grease the wheels.

"You should be aware that Senator Warner and other members of Congress have made inquiries on this project," McAuliffe said.

McAuliffe partnered with Chinese businessman Charles Wang to launch the business venture, electric car company GreenTech Automotive. Wang owned GreenTech through Capital Wealth Holdings, his investment company based in the British Virgin Islands tax haven.

McAuliffe quietly resigned as chairman of GreenTech in 2012 after opting to move the company's operations to Mississippi instead of Virginia, where he said the business would create 1,500 jobs. The Democrat's shady Chinese business deals, however, go beyond GreenTech.

The Department of Justice targeted McAuliffe in 2016 over a $120,000 contribution he received from Chinese billionaire Wang Wenliang, who also pledged to give $2 million to the Clinton Foundation at the time of the donation.

Retraction of paper on vaccine deaths spurs call for more scrutiny of COVID-19 death reports

Medical journal sets much higher burden to show deaths from vaccine than from COVID, say authors of retracted paper.

Should public health authorities scrutinize deaths attributed to COVID-19 as closely as they scrutinize deaths attributed to COVID-19 vaccines?

Defenders of a controversial study on the risk-benefit ratio of COVID-19 vaccines are calling hypocrisy on a medical journal for retracting the paper a week after publishing it, following the resignations of several journal editors in protest.

In a Friday retraction notice in the journal Vaccines, the editor in chief and "several" editorial board members said the paper's authors were not able to "satisfactorily" answer claims that they conflated correlation with causation.

Analyzing data from the Netherlands Pharmacovigilance Centre, known as LAREB, the paper's authors estimated COVID-19 vaccines take two lives for every three they save. The country leads Europe in vaccine adverse-reaction reporting.

Authors Harald Walach, Rainer Klement and Wouter Aukema challenged criticism from Eugene van Puijenbroek, who leads LAREB's scientific department, that they had misused its data.

"This starts a long-overdue debate on how to gauge the safety of COVID-19 vaccines," they wrote in a statement provided to Retraction Watch Thursday.

"Currently we only have association, we agree, and we never said anything else. But the same is true with fatalities as consequences of SARS-CoV2-infections [sic]," which are "rarely vetted by autopsy or second opinion" to confirm they were caused by the novel coronavirus, rather than incidental to infection.

Brown University epidemiologist Andrew Bostom wasn't impressed by the journal's "baloney" explanation for the retraction, either. "The [vaccine] deaths are as causally related as C19 deaths which allow for any positive test within 30-60 days of a death from any cause to be tallied as a C19 death," he wrote in a Twitter message to Just the News.

Bostom pointed to a June study, not yet peer-reviewed, of a sample of deaths in the U.S. Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System reported through April. The sample was limited to people who got early vaccinations, primarily elderly or those with "significant health conditions."

Researchers at the University of London and New Zealand's Massey University found that they could rule out "vaccine reaction" as a contributing factor in just 14% of deaths. "Contrary to claims that most of these reports are made by lay-people and are hence clinically unreliable, we identified health service employees as the reporter in at least 67%," they wrote

Assisted Suicide Group Teams Up With Planned Parenthood Honcho

Founder of children's hair salon chain has donated thousands to Planned Parenthood, pro-assisted suicide group

America's leading physician-assisted suicide advocacy group has tapped a Planned Parenthood of Illinois board member to help lead the organization.

Compassion & Choices named Jill Gordon, CEO of children's hair salon company KidSnips, to its board of directors on Thursday. Gordon has donated tens of thousands of dollars to both Planned Parenthood and Compassion & Choices through her foundation, the Jill and Bradford Gordon Family Foundation. Gordon told the Washington Free Beacon the issue of assisted suicide is "close to my heart."

"Baby boomers like me are leading the end-of-life care movement because we have challenged the status quo our entire lives," Gordon said.

Rachel MacNair, vice president at the Consistent Life Network, said she is not surprised that a prominent abortion supporter would also become a cheerleader for assisted suicide.

"The connection between killing at both ends of the lifespan has been one that both pro-life and pro-choice advocates have held for a long time," MacNair told the Free Beacon. "For pro-lifers, of course, it's social approval of killing either way and done on similar reasoning. For pro-choicers, it's choice and bodily autonomy either way and done on similar reasoning."

Kim Callinan, president and CEO of Compassion & Choices, told the Free Beacon she added Gordon to the board based on her wide-ranging professional success.

"Compassion & Choices appointed Jill because of her leadership experience as a CEO, an entrepreneur, and nonprofit board member across multiple organizations, not because of her work on a particular issue," Callinan said. "Jill’s past experience with governance, stewardship, and fidelity will help ensure that Compassion & Choices continues our commitment to ensuring that patients have access to the full range of end-of-life care options from pain management to hospice care to medical aid in dying."

KidSnips, Gordon’s company, is the largest provider of children’s haircuts in the Chicago metropolitan area, according to a Compassion & Choices press release. Gordon’s foundation has donated nearly $120,000 to Planned Parenthood affiliated organizations since 2014 and more than $74,000 to Compassion & Choices since 2013, according to Grantmakers.io.

Arrests of criminal migrants, including convictions for sex, drug and homicide crimes, up in FY 2021

There have been 6,918 'criminal noncitizens' arrested by Border Patrol in 2021 with four months left in the fiscal year

The number of arrests of illegal immigrants with criminal convictions including sex and drug offenses and even homicide have increased in fiscal year (FY) 2021 compared to recent years, amid a surge more generally of migrant encounters at the border.

According to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data, there have been 6,918 arrests of "criminal noncitizens" by Border Patrol in FY 2021 up until the end of May, with four months still to be recorded. FY 2021 runs from Oct. 2020 to Sept. 2021, and so it includes the final months of the Trump administration.

The number of arrests is already significantly higher than FY 2020 (2,438 arrests) and FY 2019 (4,269). It is just shy of FY 2018’s 6,698 arrests, and could exceed the 8,531 arrests in FY 2017 – although it is unlikely to exceed the 12,842 arrests made in FY 2016.

The top criminal conviction is illegal re-entry, for which there were 3,836 convictions, up over 1,261 in FY 2020. Border Patrol stats provide the number of convictions, so since some migrants are convicted of multiple offenses, total convictions exceed the number of arrests overall.

However, there were also increases in other more serious offenses. There are 40 past convictions for homicide among migrants encountered at the border so far in FY 2021, compared to three in FY 2020 and two in FY 2019. There have been 1,413 convictions for illegal drug possession or trafficking among migrants this fiscal year, compared to 386 in FY 2020 and 449 in FY 2019.

Report: COVID-19 Makes Traffickers Harder to Catch, Victims More Vulnerable

The COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the world has made people poorer and more vulnerable to human trafficking, according to the US State Department’s annual Trafficking in Persons Report.

The report, released Thursday, says traffickers are exploiting the growing number of people impoverished by the disease. In some cases, business owners and landlords pressure employees or tenants to take out loans in exchange for cheap labor or sexual exploitation; In others, families exploit their own children or sell them to traffickers to financially support themselves.

Despite all the grim news, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken sees reason for hope.

“If we’re serious about ending trafficking in persons, we must also work to root out systemic racism, sexism, and other forms of discrimination, and to build a more equitable society in every dimension,” Blinken said in a press briefing on Thursday.

The report notes that traffickers took advantage of situations where screening and identifying victims became more difficult. During the pandemic, as human traffickers shifted online, children spending more time on the Internet could be more easily recruited and groomed. Traffickers also took advantage of distracted government officials and police as well as the reduced capacity of court systems.

For the first time, this year’s report includes a special section on the consequences of systemic racism on human trafficking, noting that the U.S. still struggles to “address the disparate effects of human trafficking on racial minority communities.”

Racial biases may affect not only criminal justice outcomes but also how victims process their experiences and which communities law enforcement target for anti-trafficking operations.

The report also applies a tiered system to evaluate how fully governments comply with minimum standards to eliminate trafficking, per the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) passed by Congress in 2000. Tier 1 is the highest rating, given to countries whose governments fully comply with the Act’s minimum standards, while Tier 3 is the lowest, for governments who fail to meet those standards.

Seventeen countries have been ranked in the bottom tier.

Observers believe the U.S. loss of control over other narratives forced it into taking such a measure against the Iranian media in order to solve its immediate problems.

On Wednesday, the Department of Homeland Security under Alejandro Mayorkas leaked yet another "internal bulletin" fearmongering about how "white extremists" may be planning to carry out mass shootings in the run up to July 4th.

"Federal authorities are deeply concerned about the possibility of domestic terror and violence, including mass shootings, as the Fourth of July holiday approaches and the summer season gets fully underway," ABC News said.

If you managed to read past ABC News' headline, you'd see the feds admit there's "no specific threat" and their only evidence of a possible threat is some online chatter (that was probably put out by their own agents working to entrap gullible saps and the mentally disabled).

The bulletin came out just days after a black extremist shot a Daytona Beach police officer in the head.

The last time Attorney General Merrick Garland, Mayorkas' partner in crime, issued a similar warning about "white extremists" was right after another black extremist went on a shooting spree targeting white men.

Mayorkas has issued multiple of these fearmongering bulletins warning of imminent mass death and always leaks them to ABC News who reports on it every time as though it was the first time and never points out how their past leaks were total bulls**t.

ABC News together with Mayorkas hyped the hell out of the notion that "Q-Anon extremists" were going to attack the Capitol on March 4 yet literally nothing happened.

Glenn Greenwald recently detailed how they're issuing such fearmongering bulletins every few weeks. This appears to be the fifth such bulletin this year.

Though no "white extremists" carried out any mass shootings as they were predicting, there were multiple mass shootings in Chicago over just the past week.

JUSTICE – The Paris prosecutor’s office said Friday, June 18, that it had opened an investigation into an ex-general, Dominique Delawarde, signatory of the so-called “generals” platform, accused of having made anti-Semitic comments on CNews.

“The Paris prosecutor’s office today opened an investigation into the heads of public defamation and incitement to hatred and violence on the grounds of origin or belonging to an ethnic group, nation, race or religion”, he announced to AFP.

The investigation was entrusted to the Brigade for the repression of delinquency in persons (BRDP).

Train Derails in Canada, Spilling Timber and Tar Sands

BLACKFALDS, Alberta—A train carrying tar sands and timber has derailed in the Canadian province of Alberta, spilling at least part of its load, officials said, though there were no reports of injuries.

Officials in the city of Lacombe said one rail car released 32,000 liters (8,450 gallons) of tar oil.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Blackfalds said crews were working to contain Friday’s spill.

Huge piles of spilled wood were visible along the tracks on Saturday and traffic was being rerouted around the area, though some residents who initially were evacuated had been allowed to return.

It became violent when Antifa crossed the street and began assaulting the protesters.

The militants also attacked a preacher and kicked him while he was on the ground.

After the far-left punks attacked multiple people, a person at the scene moved a firearm from their backpack to their pants. The anti-police leftists soon cried to police to arrest him.

Canadian Government To Extend "Pride Month" To The Whole Summer

The Canadian government has announced this it is expanding ‘Pride Month’ for the entire summer and calling it ‘Pride Season’.

Yes, really.

A post on the official government ‘Canadian heritage’ website reveals the change, meaning that LGBT events and narratives will be promoted every year from June until the end of September.

“In Canada, local Pride events span over the course of several months,” states the website.
