Also, the warm Gulf Stream waters extend several hundred miles offshore.

Hurricanes love them way moar than they do land.

That's why the NC barrier islands get hit often, but the big cities do not.

It takes a steering current that's a direct shot towards land to nail DC, Philly, NYC, or Boston.

This one will be running right up the Gulf Stream so doubtful DC gets much damaging winds from it.

Plus, it's only a Tropical Storm anyway.
