>That 350kw generator uses 12 gallons of diesel fuel per hour, and it takes 3 hours to fully charge a car to get 200 miles.

You're not factoring in the actual load on generator. If the car isn't sucking down 350kw, the diesel engine will throttle back to meet the demand.

The car in your pic appears to charge at 11kw, which would use much less fuel per hour.

Just stole the last of spouseanon's ice cream, and I think she's getting ready to start her period.

On a scale of one to six gorillion, how screwed am I?

Anons are literal-minded tards sometimes, and they're gonna do what they're gonna do.

Anon knows fuel use all depends on load, and an engine doesn't always run at full throttle.

Charging that car takes 11kw. At 50% efficiency out of the diesel/generator, you'd need 22kw worth of BTUs. There should be plenty of sources to tell you how much diesel that is.

Agreed on charger size. Running a 350kw generator for an 11kw load is silly.
