People are assholes and have absolutely no regard for other people. That is just the way it is. Most people are self-centered assholes. She lives amongst assholes.

She could live out in the woods by herself, but then she would have to hunt and fish for her food and she probably doesn't want to have to do that. So the alternative is living amongst assholes who think making a lot of noise is their God given right.

Peace and Quiet are rare, especially in the city and/or suburbs, because a lot of people congregated in one area means a lot of assholes.

People drive by and play the music in their cars really loud and think it is hilarious if someone says something to them about it. Noise is the one thing that most people think is their God given right to use to annoy other people.

They let their dogs bark incessantly and let their children scream and say "fuck you, I can do what I want" if you say anything to them about it.

She should have gotten a bullhorn or a good speaker and played loud religious music. Then the cops would have shown up to shut her down.

I think she just wanted to go to sleep, seeing as she was outside in her pajamas, and there was too much noise from people shooting off fireworks.

My dog used to hide in the bathroom or under our bed every 4th of July while fireworks were being shot off in our neighborhood. It is a very unnatural noise. Same as gunshots. For people to react negatively to fireworks is probably more natural than to say, "oh well, just a bunch of noise."

Cities are noisy. Planes, trains & automobiles. Fire engine & police sirens. Not natural noises. All man made noise pollution. All cause people to have more anxiety and need to be on SSRIs.

Big Pharm loves it that all of these people need to be on SSRIs because of all of the man made noise pollution.
