Ok, so I never speak of it, but here we go. 1979, Livingston, NJ on Rt 280 5 pm September timeframe, might have been early October. Not a warm day, but rather pleasant. Zero clouds.

I am going to band practice with our lead singer and we see an orange disc over Livingston Park area from the highway. We pull over and get out. Others do the same including NJ State Police and towtruck driver. UFO is at 1,000 feet above the treeline.

We watch it as it doesn't move at all. Then about 5 minutes into sighting, another literally appears 100 feet away and is the same color, but seemed to flame into view in clear sky. We all howl!

Within 2 minutes they slowly start east toward South Mountain Arena and a Huey - black with no markings comes from the west and stays within 300 feet behind them at the same altitude.

We watch, no one leaves until the 2 UFO's and the Black Huey go east and we lose sight of them.

NJ State Trooper, not a young one, says, "Well, I sure as hell am not reporting that!" I ask why?

"I have to go into all the local courts all the time, and I don't want them thinking I am some kind of nut!"

End of story, but we talked about it for weeks with friends as there were sightings of these craft for several days in or near Livingston, NJ.

Just can't say what paper it was.

I never doubt that they exist, but don't try to dig as everything is firewalled off enough to make it a waste of my time.
