Zastrow is director and chief physician of the hygiene institutes of five large hospitals (1,500 beds) and 12 nursing facilities (1,200 residents). There, he has had staff as well as patients and residents gargle with a mucosal disinfection solution since April 2020, effectively preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2.
According to Zastrow's data, there has not been a single person who has died from COVID-19 illness in the facilities he oversees. There has also been no need for a general lockdown in nursing homes.
"In other nursing homes, residents died in complete isolation. In our case, individual relatives and chaplains were allowed to visit the dying and, of course, physiotherapists were also allowed into the facilities - all while maintaining hygiene conditions and using mouth disinfection, of course," Zastrow tells Epoch Times.
"Anyone who has rinsed and gargled with mucosal disinfectant inactivates the viruses and is no longer infectious and will only become mildly ill, if at all! This breaks any chain of infection!" said the hygiene professor. In this way, thousands of people could have been saved in the Corona pandemic. These people are now on the conscience of politicians.
