Law Professor: It's Clear 'Hunter Biden Was Selling Access and Influence' and Joe Was Aware

A new set of emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop have thrown doubt upon President Joe Biden’s claim he didn’t know about his son’s overseas business dealings.

The emails are so incriminating that constitutional scholar and law professor Jonathan Turley says the evidence is “is clear that Hunter Biden was selling access and influence” and that it “appears that Joe Biden was aware of that effort.”

The latest batch of emails — and pictures to accompany them — were first reported in the New York Post and the U.K. Daily Mail.

In the messages, released last week, Hunter talks with his business partner Jeff Cooper about potential deals with Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim. Along with the emails were pictures featuring Slim, along with other Mexican businessmen Hunter was involved with, having breakfast with then-Vice President Joe Biden at the Naval Observatory, the official residence of the vice president.

This got almost no coverage outside of the Post, the Daily Mail and conservative media. The rest of our legacy media outlets are more concerned with more urgent matters like whether the president ate cookies ‘n’ cream or chocolate chocolate chip ice cream today. (A tip for you gamblers out there: If you can get 6-1 or better on cookies ’n’ cream for Thursday or Friday, I’d take it. The president likes to mix it up a bit and the c’n’c is due.)

The new emails are a different story, however.

As Turley pointed out in his post, the messages have unleashed “a major allegation that Hunter used access to his father to seal previously unknown deals with Mexican businessmen, including Slim.

A picture shows Hunter with the businessmen in the Vice President[ial] residence with his father.”

According to the emails, Hunter and his partner, Jeff Cooper, were pursuing deals in Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America through the family of Miguel Alemán Velasco, one of the other billionaires pictured. In one email from 2013, Cooper may have summed up the duo’s attitude best: “This is setting up to be flippin gigantic brother.”

The emails also revealed that Cooper flew with Hunter Biden and Joe Biden to Mexico on Air Force Two back in 2016, something Turley said followed “a similar pattern revealed with regard to the China dealings.” Hunter Biden had also accompanied his father to China on board the vice-presidential plane.

This pattern persisted after Joe Biden left the vice presidency, as well.

TRUMP: ‘There Were No Guns’ On 1/6 ‘Except For The Gun That Shot Ashli Babbitt’, Says He Knows Identity Of Shooter

"If it were the opposite way, that man would be all over, he would be the most well-known, and I believe I can say man, because I believe I know exactly who it is, but he would be the the most well-known person in this country, in the world, but the person that shot Ashli Babbit, boom, right through the head."

President Donald Trump spoke about the political persecution of January 6 election integrity protesters during remarks made on Wednesday, stating that he believes he knows the identity of the man who gunned down unarmed Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt inside the Capitol.

Speaking about the Capitol protest events of January 6, Trump stated, “That was an unfortunate event, I say, though, however, people are being treated unbelievably unfairly. When you look at people in prison, and nothing happens to Antifa, and they burned down cities and killed people. There were no guns in the Capitol, except for the gun that shot Ashli Babbitt, and nobody knows who that man were.”

“If it were the opposite way, that man would be all over, he would be the most well-known, and I believe I can say man, because I believe I know exactly who it is, but he would be the the most well-known person in this country, in the world,” Trump continued, “but the person that shot Ashli Babbit, boom, right through the head. There was no reason for that, and why isn’t that person being opened up, and why isn’t that being studied? They’ve already written it off, they say that that case is closed. if that were the opposite, that case would be going on for years and years, and it would not be pretty.”

President Trump first mentioned Babbitt by name during a rally over the weekend, stating “And by the way, who shot Ashli Babbitt? Who shot AShli Babbitt? Who? Who shot Ashli Babbitt? We all saw the hand, we saw the gun. I spoke to her mother the other day, an incredible woman, she’s just devastated, like it happened yesterday, devastated.”

“You know, if that were on the other side, the person that did the shooting would be strung up and hung,” Trump added. “Now they don’t want to give the name, they don’t want to give, but people know the name, people know where he came from, and it’s a terrible thing. Right, shot, boom, there was no reason for it. Who shot Ashli Babbitt? It’s got to be released.”

Ohio parents who opposed critical race theory speak up after kids get expelled

Two Ohio parents are denouncing a private school that expelled their children after the pair of mothers launched a public campaign against critical race theory.

Speaking to Fox News Wednesday morning, Andrea Gross and Amy Gonzalez expressed their dismay that Columbus Academy had denied re-enrollment to both of their children, as well as others who the school said breached part of their contract by publicly pushing back against the theory being added to the curriculum.

“I feel like it is unfortunate that when you are speaking out and you are trying to say your truth, unfortunately, there are people who want to retaliate against you. In this case, they retaliated against our children, who are innocent,” Gross told the network.

“We tried, in the best way possible, to represent and speak up not only for our children but also our teachers. At a private school, they did not have a union. I believe a lot of it is coming from The National Association of Independent Schools,” Gonzalez added.

“We tried, in the best way possible, to represent and speak up not only for our children but also our teachers. At a private school, they did not have a union. I believe a lot of it is coming from The National Association of Independent Schools,” Gonzalez added.

Critical race theory dictates that racism is an underlying dynamic of all human interaction and views the human experience as a constant power struggle between the races, often with a focus on “white privilege.”

Critics have argued against including it in students’ curriculum, with many arguing it teaches children to view each other based on race.

The school, which includes pre-K through 12th-grade students, effectively expelled two of Gross’ children and one of Gonzalez’s, according to the network, citing letters from the school.

Reached for comment, a school spokesperson told the network that it would not comment on specific cases, but more generally restated the school’s position on “attacks” leveled by parents.

“Columbus Academy does not comment on the circumstances of any student or family,” the statement said.

“However, any parent who waged a public campaign of false and misleading statements and inflammatory attacks harmful to the employees, the reputation, or the financial stability of Columbus Academy would be in clear violation of the Enrollment Agreement and would be denied re-enrollment for the following school year.”

After taking heat from conservatives, IRS changes course to grant Christian group tax-exempt status

The IRS previously rejected the group because the 'Bible's teachings are typically affiliated with the Republican Party and candidates'

Following legal pressure and significant backlash on social media, the Internal Revenue Service on Wednesday reversed course to grant a Christian nonprofit organization tax-exempt status.

The IRS had previously rejected the status to the group, known as Christians Engaged, arguing its mission of educating and empowering Christians to engage in America's civics process was partisan by default since Christians usually align with Republican candidates.

In a rejection letter issued in May, the IRS informed Christians Engaged that it was disqualified from holding the status because the "Bible's teachings are typically affiliated with the Republican Party and candidates."

News of the group's rejection immediately sparked outrage among conservatives and was picked up by many right-leaning media outlets.

But the nonprofit didn't take the news lying down. It responded with a legal challenge to the rejection, enlisting help from religious liberty law firm First Liberty Institute, which filed an appeal last month.

On Wednesday, First Liberty Institute announced in a press release that the IRS had changed its mind following a review of the matter.

The law firm noted, "The reversal [came] after a national backlash against the IRS's initial rejection of Christians Engaged's nonprofit status."

"This is truly great news for our client, as well as religious organizations and churches across America," said Lea Patterson, counsel for First Liberty Institute, in a statement. "We are grateful the IRS changed course to bring its decision into line with the Constitution and its own regulations."

Christians Engaged President Bunni Pounds added, "I am incredibly thankful to the IRS for doing the right thing, and we look forward to continuing our mission of educating more followers of Jesus to pray for our nation and to be civically engaged. When we stand up, our republic works for all Americans."

On its website, Christians Engaged states that it "exists to awaken, motivate, educate, and empower ordinary believers in Jesus Christ to: pray for our nation and elected officials regularly, vote in every election to impact our culture, [and] engage our hearts in some form of political education or activism for the furtherance of our nation."

But the IRS originally disagreed, accusing the group of engaging in "prohibited political campaign intervention."

"Specifically, you educate Christians on what the Bible says in areas where they can be instrumental including the areas of sanctity of life, the definition of marriage, biblical justice, freedom of speech, defense, and borders and immigration, U.S. and Israel relations," IRS exempt organizations director Stephen Martin charged in the initial rejection letter.

Under federal law, a religious organization can obtain tax-exempt status so long as it operates exclusively for charitable or educational purposes and does "not attempt to influence legislation" or "participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates."

Biden Vows to Raise Taxes on Fossil Fuel Companies as Gas Prices Spike

Joe Biden on Wednesday traveled to Illinois to promote his gargantuan infrastructure bill.

Biden was greeted by Trump supporters when he arrived in Crystal Lake.

78-year-old Joe Biden delivered speech at McHenry County College where he railed against the wealthy and fossil fuel companies and said they need to ‘pay their fair share’ in taxes.

Less than a year ago, the United States was energy independent and gas prices were at historic lows.

In the six months since Joe Biden was sworn in as president, gas prices have risen by a staggering 40 percent.

Now Biden is going to raise taxes on gas companies.

Right before Biden attacked gas companies, he told the audience he was the poorest Senator in Congress for 36 years – so how the hell did Biden, AKA, “The Big Guy” make enough money to be able to afford multi-million beach homes?
