The point is do what you do, but keep it between you and God. The idea is that rewards in heaven are eternal, etc. In reality, what ends up happening is you learn to give selflessly. It encourages a mentality of doing the right thing regardless of "earthly" rewards because in order to maintain such a thing requires you to put more love in your heart.
This is an absolutely brilliant way to expose every dumb fuck traitor in gov't, and the fact that these dumb fucks haven't figured it out, yet, is absolutely amazing.

Not what story says. I have tried to get foreign interviews w adversaries & use back channels when front door doesn’t work. I would not expect my name to be unmasked if comms involving me or about me were intercepted.We don’t yet know how US Govt learned info, only that they did.
