Haitian president is dead. Now, what are the chances for him to be assasinated? There are almost 200 presidents in the world. Why him?
Also consider one more thing. There were riots on the streets prior to this happening. why? Well, as you can see, newsoutlets were all connecting the assasination to the riots on the streets on haiti. They needed a cover sroty for this. You cant just kill a president if there is a peace. It will be suspicious and easy to track.
