Former Canadian foreign affairs minister John Baird pledged his support to dissidents standing up against the Iranian regime.

Baird spoke Monday at the Free Iran Global Summit, an annual event hosted by the National Council of Resistance (NCRI), an Iranian opposition group seeking a free and secular Iran.

Baird served in former prime minister Stephen Harper’s cabinet when Canada severed diplomatic ties with Iran in 2012, a step Baird called one of his “proudest moments” of public service.

“One of the proudest moments that I had in public life over 20 years in government was the day when Canada made a big decision ten years ago,” he said. “We said that we wanted nothing to do with the terrorist-supporting, human rights-violating regime in Tehran. We formally broke off diplomatic relations with the regime and we kicked the mullahs’ henchmen out of Canada. That was real Canadian leadership”

Baird said he looked forward to NCRI president Maryam Rajavi’s elected government replacing the Iranian regime to “kick the mullahs from power in Tehran.”

Harper spoke at the conference Friday, taking aim at the recent “selection” of Ebrahim Raisi as Iran’s president.

“Ebrahim Raisi is a criminal, guilty of crimes against humanity. He is a living symbol of the folly of trying to appease (Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s) regime,” Harper said.

Baird echoed these concerns in his remarks, calling Raisi’s installation “clear evidence that (the regime) is deeply afraid of the uprisings going on across Iran.”

Raisi is a hard-liner responsible for overseeing mass detentions and executions of political prisoners in Iran.

Baird shared a stern message with Raisi in his remarks.

“You’re not a legitimate leader,” Baird said.”You are not a legitimately elected president. The Iranian people will hold you to account for your actions and the world will hold you accountable for the blood on your hands.”

Other Canadian speakers included former treasury board president Tony Clement, Liberal member of parliament Judy Sgro, and Conservative defense critic James Bezan.

Ford government quietly scraps “anti-racist” math curriculum

The Ford government has quietly deleted a section of Ontario’s grade 9 math curriculum, which taught students a “decolonial” and “anti-racist” approach to mathematics.

While the government originally defended the new curriculum, Education Minister Stephen Lecce instructed officials to remove the section on “anti-racism,” according to the Toronto Sun.

The curriculum was revised late Tuesday.

The original document caught the attention of Ontarians due to its new approach to mathematics, which the government argued was needed to combat the field’s inherent white supremacy.

“Mathematics has been used to normalize racism and marginalization of non-Eurocentric mathematical knowledges, and a decolonial, anti-racist approach to mathematics education makes visible its historical roots and social constructions,” the original document read.

“The Ontario Grade 9 mathematics curriculum emphasizes the need to recognize and challenge systems of power and privilege, both inside and outside the classroom, in order to eliminate systemic barriers and to serve students belonging to groups that have been historically disadvantaged and underserved in mathematics education.”

Changes to Ontario’s math curriculum were announced last year by Education Minister Stephen Lecce.

The government previously said the new curriculum will bring early math streaming to an end, a practice that the government claimed created barriers for racialized and marginalized groups.

While news of the revised curriculum is welcomed by many Ontario parents and students, Ontario’s NDP criticized the government for its decision.

“The Grade 9 math program was changed specifically because Ontario had to finally recognize that the existing system treats Black, Indigenous and racialized students inequitably,” NDP Education critic Marit Stiles and Anti-Racism critic Laura Mae Lindo said in a joint statement.

“It’s pretty clear we need more of an equity and anti-racism lens in schools, not less.”

Most of the people who died from COVID-19 in Canada were over the age of 85 and had dementia, Alzheimer’s, chronic heart disease and other pre-existing “cardiovascular and respiratory conditions,” according to a shocking new report from the federal government.

Nine in ten deaths had a secondary cause listed on the death certificate.

The Statistics Canada report, released July 6, found that 94% of all Canadians who died of COVID-19 in 2020 were seniors older than 65. Of those, more than half were over 85 years of age, and the majority were residents of long-term care homes.

This led the report to conclude that those who died from COVID-19 “may have been at a high risk of dying over this period regardless of the pandemic.”

COVID-19 was not the only cause of death.

“Of the 15,300 people who died of COVID-19 between March and December 2020, nearly 9 in 10 had at least one other health condition or complication or another cause listed on the death certificate. Dementia or Alzheimer’s was listed on the death certificate of 36% of COVID-19 death certificates and was particularly common among those age 65 or older.”

The report, entitled Briefing on the Impact of COVID-19 on Seniors, was prepared by researchers at Statistics Canada and was presented to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Human Resources and Skill Development. It was first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter.

The report looked at both COVID-19 deaths and as well as excess deaths that occurred in 2020.

Excess deaths are described as the increase in the number of overall deaths in Canada relative to data from past years.

These deaths are the result of both the disease itself as well as the second and third order impacts of the lockdowns, including things like cancelled surgeries, undiagnosed diseases and diseases of despair such as suicide, drug overdoses, alcohol poisoning and so on.

While 94% of COVID-19 deaths were seniors, only 70% of all excess deaths were among those over 65. That means that 30% of excess deaths were among working-aged adults 64 years and younger versus 6% of only COVID-19 deaths.

This report focuses primarily on seniors, so no analysis or further details were provided to explain this large discrepancy. The report does, however, suggest that the lockdown and resulting difficulties for working-aged Canadians were significantly worse than the disease itself.

For instance, the report shows that seniors 65 and older were the least likely age category to report having difficulties with their financial situation, with fewer than 15% saying the pandemic had a moderate or major impact.

Compare this to upwards of 30% for Canadians aged 35 to 44, and nearly 30% for those aged 25-34.

Similarly, older Canadians were the most likely to report being in very good or excellent mental health, with nearly 70% reporting positive mental health. Compare this with the category of Canadians aged 18 to 34 years old, where more than 50% reported negative mental health.

A recent report from the Sick Kids hospital found that a staggering 70% of teenagers reported symptoms of depression as a result of the pandemic and lockdowns.

While many provinces are starting to reopen, Canadians have been victims to some of the strictest public health orders in the world, rivaling communist countries like China and Cuba.

The True North Provincial Freedom Score found that Nova Scotia, Manitoba and Ontario were the most locked-down provinces in the country when taking into account business closures, school openings, in-person dining and nearly a dozen other variables.

EK—I am 45 and I still work in the Health admin business. However, the government here in Greece made it compulsory for workers in the health sector to get vaccinated. Hence, by Sept. 1st - the deadline for vaccination, I will be unemployed with no prospect of getting any job soon, as most employers are allowed to fire any employee they deem as a 'danger' to their business.

I know that if I get covid I will be totally on my own, getting blamed for not getting vaxxed and being told that I was asking for it by those closest to me, if they discover I have it despite my sincere efforts of concealing it from them.

It sounds probably crazy to say that I prefer to take my chances with covid rather than with the vax. There is a universal adherence to the 'get the vax' narrative by all the doctors I know which, to me, seems unusually monolithic.

Cathy Barton–I received my Second Pfizer vaccine on July, 7th 2021. First vaccine wasn't terrible. Aches, headache, tired. Jane Joseph- I got some relief for about a 2 or 3 weeks and I'm back to feeling bad again. I saw another doctor on Tuesday and it indicated that I have developed neuropathy issues from the vaccine and advised that I take lots of vitamins. Zinc, vitamin C, vitamin B. Two weeks ago, the head of the BC Liberties Association (BCCLA) Harsha Walla tweeted “burn it all down” in response to the torching of churches following the apparent discovery of graves at former residential schools.

On Friday, the BCCLA announced the resignation of Walla.

In a statement, the BCCLA board of directors claimed that Walla’s tweet did not convey the organization’s message accurately.

“Using a particular turn of phrase in that context left some people with the wrong impression about the values and principles to which we adhere,” it said.

“We regret the misunderstanding that was caused by the tweet and apologize for the harm the words caused.”

Walla’s tweet generated swift public backlash from Canadians, as many interpreted her tweet as encouraging arson. However, the BCCLA claims Walla was targeted because of racism and sexism.

“During the aftermath of the tweet, we encountered a wave of hateful commentary, fueled by the fact that our executive director is a racialized woman leader. Our executive director and staff were exposed to inexcusable racism and misogyny and threats to physical and mental safety,” the BCCLA statement said.

Walla was not alone in excusing the recent church burnings and acts of vandalism targeting historical Canadians symbols. A number of activists, academics and prominent public figures, including NDP MP Niki Ashton and Prime Minister Trudeau’s top advisor Gerald Butts, also commented positively about the violent acts.

In recent weeks, 47 churches have been vandalized, burned down or desecrated.

The media, big tech and politicians keep telling us to follow the science and trust the doctors, but then they tell us which doctors and which science we are allowed to listen to.

People advocating to hear from more sources regarding the coronavirus have been called conspiracy theorists and antivaxxers by politicians and bureaucrats and their mainstream media enablers. Last week, I travelled back to Waterford, Ontario in Norfolk County to visit the Lamb family.

You may remember the Lambs from one of our recent Fight the Fines stories. Carol and Grant Lamb racked up $12,000 worth of fines at Pearson International Airport when they refused to enter into the dreaded COVID hotel.

This time, I went back to Waterford for a much happier reason. Marion Lamb, a 95-year-old resident living in a retirement community, was being held against her will by the staff of the facility.

The reason?

The retirement home said she needed to be vaccinated, or she wouldn’t see her family again!

Grant Lamb contacted Rebel News a few weeks ago to report potential elder abuse, and we dove in right away, speaking to our legal experts to try and get to the truth. In the end, the retirement community caved and has agreed to allow Marion to see her family whenever she wants.

Still, the fact remains that they were trying to hold her hostage until she agreed to take the emergency use only vaccine.

Marion is in excellent health and hasn’t had a cold in years, according to her granddaughter, which is why she doesn’t want the vaccine. The family shared how relieved they are to be allowed to spend time with their matriarch, but that they were extremely scared during those stressful weeks, thinking they might never see her again.

We’re so glad that Marion is spending time with her family again, and want to share this story for everyone who has a parent or grandparent in long-term care or a retirement home whom they have been unable to visit.

Southfront reports that an Israeli company’s spyware was used in attempted and successful hacks of 37 smartphones belonging to journalists, government officials and human rights activists around the world, according to an investigation by 17 media organizations, published on July 18th.

One of the organizations, The Washington Post, said the Pegasus spyware licensed by Israel-based NSO Group also was used to target phones belonging to two women close to Jamal Khashoggi, a Post columnist murdered at a Saudi consulate in Turkey in 2018.

One of them was his fiancee, and she and the other woman were targeted both before and after his death.

The Guardian, another of the media outlets, said the investigation suggested “widespread and continuing abuse” of NSO’s hacking software, described as malware that infects smartphones to enable the extraction of messages, photos and emails; record calls; and secretly activate microphones.

The investigation highlights widespread and continuing abuse of NSO’s hacking spyware called ‘Pegasus’ which the company confirms is only intended for use against terrorist groups, drug and human traffickers, and criminals.

Pegasus is a very advanced malware that infects iOS and Android devices to allow operators of the spyware to copy messages, photos, calls and other data, including secretly activate microphones and cameras.

Based on the investigation, the leak contains a list of 50,000 phone numbers that have been identified as those of people of interest by clients of NSO since 2016.

The list includes many close family members of one country’s ruler, suggesting he might have instructed the country’s intelligence agencies to explore the possibility of tracking and spying on their own relatives. Continue…

The consequences of government-enforced lockdowns killed more Canadians under the age of 65 than the COVID-19 virus itself, according to a report by Statistics Canada.

In a report titled Provisional death counts and excess mortality, the government agency reviewed the number of deaths between January 2020 to April 2021 and concluded that 5,535 Canadians under the age of 65 died because of “indirect consequences” due to the pandemic.

Over the same time period, 1380 Canadians in the same age group died because of COVID-19 itself.

“Beyond deaths attributed to the disease itself, the pandemic could also have indirect consequences leading to an increase or decrease in the number of deaths due to various factors, including delayed medical procedures, increased substance use, or a decline in deaths attributable to other causes, such as influenza,” the report says.

Statistics Canada acknowledged lockdowns had a significant impact on the number of deaths in Canada, particularly among younger people.

“Excess mortality is, in large part, related to other factors such as increases in the number deaths attributed to causes associated with substance use and misuse, including unintentional (accidental) poisonings and diseases and conditions related to alcohol consumption,” read the report.

As more Canadians were forced to stay at home and vital services and businesses were forced to close, an opioid crisis developed while governments focused on reducing the spread of COVID-19. Statistics Canada confirmed that the increased usage of drugs had a significant impact on the mortality rate during the pandemic.

“There is evidence in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia that substance use has increased in 2020 compared with previous years, while availability and access to harm reduction programs, supervised consumption services, and in-person support services for substance use may have been disrupted during the pandemic,” the report says.

Earlier this month, Statistics Canada also reported that most of the people who died from COVID-19 in Canada were over the age of 85 and had dementia, Alzheimer’s, chronic heart disease or other pre-existing “cardiovascular and respiratory conditions.”

Nine in 10 deaths had a secondary cause listed on the death certificate.

Canadians have been victims of some of the strictest public health orders in the world, rivalling communist countries like China and Cuba.

The True North Provincial Freedom Score found that Nova Scotia, Manitoba and Ontario were the most locked-down provinces in the country when taking into account business closures, school openings, in-person dining and nearly a dozen other variables.

Two remarkable events happened at roughly the same time on Thursday afternoon.

In British Columbia, the Tk’emplus Band presented its preliminary findings on the discovery of unmarked graves, and in Manitoba, the government introduced its new Minister of Indigenous Affairs.

This second event only matters because of the first.

In late May, the Tk’emlups band fired a shot heard around the world: it had used ground-penetrating radar to detect the remains of 215 children who were said to have died while attending the local residential school.

This set off a whirlwind of events: exaggerated headlines, erroneous claims of mass graves, accusations of genocide, international shame and contrition, more discoveries from other bands, genuine remorse and sadness from all Canadians and eager progressives competing over who could use the most hyperbolic anti-Canadian rhetoric.

Thursday’s media presentation didn’t deliver another jaw-dropping headline, but it did give us a better understanding of what was discovered.

A researcher from the Fraser Valley University near Vancouver walked us through her research and methods, explaining how she detected roughly 200 “subsurface anomalies” which remain “targets of interest.” The 215 figure, we were told, was given in error. And to be clear, no one yet knows if these 200 “anomalies” are graves. We do know with certainty that these were not mass graves.

Most journalists in attendance didn’t bat an eye at the change in the grave count. The facts don’t matter as much as a narrative — something that each of the three scientists who presented reiterated.

The paper was published in EMBO Molecular Medicine last Monday and states clearly that “standard doses” of Ivermectin can prevent clinical deterioration and reduce olfactory deficit. The abstract noted: “Altogether, this study supports the use of immunomodulatory drugs such as IVM, to improve the clinical condition of SARS-CoV-2-infected patients.”

In a normal world the Pasteur Institute’s study would mark a turning point in the COVID-19 crisis, relativizing the “vaccine” narrative. It is remarkable that the study was published on the very day that French president Emmanuel Macron announced what amounts to mandatory vaccination for the entire population aged 12 and over: compulsory vaccination of all healthcare workers and members of related professions, and a universal COVID passport that would require testing every two days for those who refuse the jab to be able to live normally – with a 10,000 euro fine for individuals who would try to enter cafés, restaurants, hospitals, homes for the elderly, long-distance trains and coaches, cinemas, shopping centers, and the like.

The first line of abstract of the Pasteur study, led by Guilherme Dias de Melo, de facto cast severe doubts on the relevance of the exclusive “vaccine” policy of the French government, stating: “The devastating pandemic due to SARS-CoV-2 and the emergence of antigenic variants that jeopardize the efficacy of current vaccines create an urgent need for a comprehensive understanding of the pathophysiology of COVID-19, including the contribution of inflammation to disease.”

It continued: “It also warrants for the search of immunomodulatory drugs that could improve disease outcome. Here, we show that standard doses of ivermectin (IVM), an anti-parasitic drug with potential immunomodulatory activities through the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway, prevent clinical deterioration, reduce olfactory deficit, and limit the inflammation of the upper and lower respiratory tracts in SARS-CoV-2-infected hamsters.”

The study showed that Ivermectin did not reduce the viral load of the infected hamsters but did “dampen” and “modulate” several types of inflammatory response, even “dramatically” reducing “the Il-6/Il-10 ratio in lung tissue.” The researched noted that IVM “promotes macrophage M2 polarization, which might account for the more favorable clinical presentation of IVM-treated animals.” It was more efficient in female than in male hamsters.

Ivermectin, at first used for the treatment of veterinary parasitic diseases, earned its promoters for use in humans against tropical parasites, William C. Campbell and Satoshi Ōmura, the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Continue…

Doug Ford has unprecedented power in his province but no will to force vaccinations or create a "split society"

TORONTO, Ontario, July 19, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – The Premier of Ontario will not force residents of his province to be inoculated against COVID-19.

Premier Doug Ford told reporters on Thursday that his government will neither make COVID-19 injections mandatory nor create “a split society” by implementing local vaccine passports.

“I’ve never believed in proof [of vaccination cards]. […] We aren’t doing it, simple as that,” Ontario Premier Doug Ford told reporters when asked if he would introduce a vaccine passport at the local level.

“The answer is no. We aren’t going to do it; we aren’t going to have a split society.”

Despite saying no to provincial vaccine passport, Ford said he will be talking to Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau regarding a national proof of vaccination document.

Trudeau said in June that this autumn his government will be rolling out a type of “national certification of vaccination status” that travelers can use to prove they’ve had the “full” two doses of the COVID-19 jab.

Meanwhile, Ford has said “no one” in Ontario, including health care workers, will be forced to get a COVID-19 shot, saying it is their “choice.”

“No, I think it’s their constitutional right to take it, or not take it; these are super bright people that work their backs off,” said Ford.

“We encouraged them to do it; I’ve been out here for months, begging, pleading [for] everyone to get it, but no one should be forced to do anything.”

Ford also said, when asked by a reporter regarding private companies mandating COVID-19 injections as a condition of employment, that he is “not in favor of a mandatory certification, I’m just not. And by the way, neither is the chief medical officer.”

The premier also took the time to encourage COVID-19 injections again, saying, “Please get out there and get vaccinated.”

Ford stated that he “can’t stand lockdowns” and that the province “can’t afford one.” When asked if he would again lock down the province, the Premier said he enacted them only on the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Ontario.

Ontario moved into Step 3 of its reopening plan on Friday, meaning cinemas, restaurants, and gyms were open after having been closed for months. Churches are allowed to operate with no capacity limits as long as “physical distancing” can be maintained.

Ford has come under fire from both politicians and doctors for imposing some of the harshest COVID-19 restrictions in North America.

Recently, Randy Hillier, the Independent MPP for Lanark — Frontenac — Kingston, told LifeSiteNews that although Ford revoked the province’s Declaration of Emergency last month, his government voted to extend the Reopening Ontario Act until December of 2021.

Hillier said this still means Ford has vast powers never afforded to him before the COVID-19 crisis hit.

Independent Ontario MPP Roman Baber was booted from Ford’s Progressive Conservative Party in January for opposing COVID-19 lockdowns.

Baber has also accused Ford of creating a “police state” due to COVID-19 restrictions, and said Ford’s “government has lost legitimacy to govern,” due to what Baber listed as a myriad of virus lockdown-related unintended consequences.

The MPO has also sued the government for restrictions around outdoor prayer and gatherings.

Ford’s comments on vaccines echo those of Alberta Premier Jason Kenney, who recently said that his government will neither introduce a provincial “vaccine passport” nor accept one if imposed at the federal level.

However, two other Canadian provinces will be going ahead with forms of proof of vaccination for non-essential services.

Brian Pallister Premier of the province of Manitoba said earlier last week that only those who have had two COVID-19 jabs will be allowed the “extra privileges” of accessing such popular venues as cinemas, sporting events, and museums.

In the late spring, Pallister officially launched the province’s immunization card program for those who have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

In May, the Quebec government announced that they will now send “electronic proof” in the form of a QR code to those who have had a COVID-19 jab. 

Recently, the government of Quebec threatened to enforce a local COVID-19 vaccine passport which would limit access to services deemed non-essential.

OTTAWA, Ontario, July 19, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — Americans may have the opportunity to take their summer holidays in Canada, but only if they’ve been inoculated against COVID-19.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on July 15 that he may allow U.S. citizens who have been “fully vaccinated” to enter Canada in mid-August. According to Bloomberg, about half of the United States is considered fully vaccinated.

According to the official government report on the telephone conversation Trudeau had with the premiers of Canada’s provinces and territories, the Prime Minister acknowledged “the ongoing discussions with the United States on reopening plans, and indicated that we could expect to start allowing fully vaccinated U.S. citizens and permanent residents into Canada as of mid-August for non-essential travel.”

American visitors could be joined later by people travelling from anywhere else in the world.

“The Prime Minister noted that, if our current positive path of vaccination rate and public health conditions continue, Canada would be in a position to welcome fully vaccinated travellers from all countries by early September,” the report continued.

The Canadian government has previously announced that it is creating a vaccine database and passport system to track its own citizens. Trudeau has said that local provinces will be allowed to create their own vaccine passport requirements.

“Different provinces will be doing different things, where the federal government has a role to play and where we are looking is in terms of vaccine certification for international travel,” Trudeau said in a press conference last week, according to CBC News.

Vaccination passports are opposed by civil rights activists. Allison Kindle Pejovic, a lawyer for Canada’s Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, told LifeSiteNews in June that the vaccine passport created by the province of Manitoba created an inequal society.

“This vaccine passport system creates a two-tiered society whereby those who have chosen to be vaccinated are treated differently and discriminatorily compared to those who have not chosen to get the vaccine,” she stated.

A Liberal briefing note on Bill C-10, An Act To Amend The Broadcasting Act, admits that opposition to federal censorship of online platforms is creating pushback and that the bill may not pass the Senate.

According to Blacklock's Reporter,

The June 23 department briefing note Modernization Of The Broadcasting Act acknowledged the bill “has caused adverse reactions from the Conservative Party, some online social media platforms as well as some experts and individuals being worried this would impede on freedom of expression.”

“Some senators have expressed concern,” wrote staff, adding: “The Senate may also suggest amendments to the bill.”

“Netflix declined to comment and a spokesperson for TikTok did not reply to a request for comment,” said the memo.

Last month, Government House Leader Pablo Rodriguez told media that the Conservatives are “spreading lies” about C-10. Rodriguez later commented that the “Bill C-10 is an absolute priority for the government”.

Bill C-10 passed its third reading on June 22 by a vote of 196-112 and is now before the Senate communications committee.

The Surrey Fire Service were unable to save the St. George Coptic Orthodox Church from being destroyed in a fire early this morning.

Emergency services were called around 3:30 a.m. to respond to the Whalley neighbourhood church, which also houses a daycare for 65 children.

The three-alarm fire involved 10 fire trucks and 32 firefighters to extinguish the flames.

A church member, speaking with CTV News, reported that in surveillance video from last Wednesday at 2:30 a.m., a woman can be seen approaching the church's front door and lighting it on fire. The church reported the fire and the RCMP has opened a file.

My most recent reports have showcased the seemingly absurd details and lack of oversight involved in the COVID injection rollout by Health Canada. You can watch these relevant reports here, here and here.

That’s why I’ve filed an Access to Information request with Health Canada. I want to see all of the data that they have used to justify the rollout of this injection to Canadian youth. When Dr. Jean Marc Benoit, who requested Health Canada’s quantitative risk assessment data, received a response stating that they are “building from the data in adults” to justify this injection for children, I knew that we had to see the documents. The story that I’m bringing you today proves it.

Kevin Street thought he was doing his part and wanted to get back to normal, so he went in for his jab. But it’s been over two months of misery and suffering since. Officially diagnosed with “functional neurological disorder,” Kevin has difficulty with his memory, has constant ringing in his ears and experiences extreme brain fog. But worst of all, he can barely walk.

All of Kevin’s labs, blood work, MRIs, tests, etc. come back clean. But, strangely, he cannot easily obtain his own medical records. So he was given a catch-all diagnosis and sent home with antidepressants to semi-sedate him mentally in hopes that his brain and body will eventually heal themselves. Oddly enough, Kevin has been advised against getting a second shot — but no doctor wants to put their name on the paperwork to actually file an adverse reaction report.

Left without answers and no risk management plan to deal with his vaccine reaction, Kevin wants fellow Canadians to heed his warning.

The Third World War is a war of ideas — and totalitarians are winning

If one wonders what World War III would look like, hey — we’ve just experienced it. It hasn’t been a conventional war but the pandemic we have all been through was a war against liberal values.

The losers in this war were mostly vulnerable seniors and youth. Seniors lost their lives and dropped like bricks, with not much being done to protect them. Their families lamented but their voices were subsumed by political dogma.

Students became isolated and attached to machines. What kind of a mindset would one expect from young people who had no outlet during the pandemic, so they veered towards their only entertainment — the internet.

Ordinary citizens were brainwashed to obey commands without questioning and those who did question were rudely silenced. Law enforcement were given powers beyond their capacity. While shootings have become a common occurrence on the streets of Toronto, police focus was on running after unmasked citizens and harassing mothers and children in parks.

The biggest casualty in this war was free speech, as those who questioned the status quo were arrested or silenced by cancel culture.

From my perspective, amongst the winners in this war primarily were the Islamists — they are laughing all the way to the bank. No, there were no explosions or terror attacks, but the Islamists won.

You may ask, how?

The Islamists made alliances with organizations on the far left like Antifa and Black Lives Matter. They cheered at the removal of Donald Trump, who called them out for who they are. The Taliban are quickly taking over in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of U.S. forces.

Locally, the Islamists made most of the horrific tragedy in London, Ontario where a Muslim family was killed. Imagine the shock of the grieving family when they heard Munir El-Kassem say at a vigil, “Whatever is happening in Jerusalem and Gaza is related to whatever happened in London, Ontario — period.”

The Islamists love the toppling of statues and burning of churches — all this happening while law enforcement is too busy catching anti-maskers, and those who wish to worship in churches.

Today, the Islamists have won because their “Islamophobia” hype has been validated by the government, and they are busy getting funding to implement various projects labelled anti-racist, but which are only an extension of Motion 103.

The sad part is that the Islamists did not have to do any work or make an effort. Our leaders have done all the dirty work for them. When NDP leader Jagmeet Singh says “our Canada is a place of racism,” while he is a visible minority himself, it gives the Islamists more fuel for their anti-west agenda.

This war has been won by the Islamists at every level of government:

On a municipal level, we have the call to prayer being broadcast over a loudspeaker — this, by the way, is a contentious issue even in Muslim countries.

On a provincial level, we see permission given to a hate filled event called Al-Quds Day Parade, which was instituted by Ayatollah Khomeini and is entirely a political game being played out on the streets of Toronto and other cities.

On a federal level, we see selective protection of a particular community in the form of motions to prevent so-called Islamophobia, which is a word created after 9/11 by the Muslim Brotherhood.

Yes, hate, bigotry and xenophobia do exist. There is hate against Muslims, against blacks, against Asians and the LGBTQ community — there is even hate against white people. The oldest, most extreme form of hate is against the Jewish community, which recent figures show is at an all-time high, and we must fight all this hate through education and programs that help integrate communities.

If you really want to understand hate, ask the Coptic Christians of Egypt; ask the Muslim Ahmadiyya community of Pakistan; ask the Uyghurs of China and minorities living in Iran.

After 9/11, I said that this is not a war of weapons — it is a war of ideas. If we want to preserve our liberal values of freedom of speech, equality and human rights, we MUST have better and stronger ideas.

But it seems that the war of ideas has been won by the Islamists. We can’t reverse this trend as individuals. It must come from a collective strategy in which all Canadians speak out and make it happen.

Although elections may be just around the corner, despite what I have said I fear that Canadians have not woken up and smelled the coffee to bring about any constructive change.

It is sad — but I still have hope, and I pray that you do too.

Brett Kissel hits back at pro-lockdown trolls after Calgary Stampede concert

Canadian country singer Brett Kissel had a stern message for trolls who attacked him for performing a sold out show at the Calgary Stampede.

“I’m going to do me. And I encourage YOU to do YOU,” the singer posted on Facebook.

Kissel headlined the Stampede’s Nashville North last Monday in his first show since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020.

The outdoor concerts were criticized by those claiming Alberta reopened too much too quickly.

Kissel said he wasn’t going to let the trolls deflate what he called the “BEST show of my career to date,” however.

“If you want to stay home, wear two masks, and build your bunker – I accept your choice. I respect your choice,” he said. “If you want to come out, party your face off, making up for lost time, and get this world spinning again – then here’s my open invitation for you all to enjoy one of my concerts.”

Kissel applauded Alberta’s reopening in his statement, and said he had no interest in getting into a political debate, but had to lay his “boundary” for the critics.

“My social media channels are for joy, fun, family, and music ONLY,” he said. “So, if you want to come at me for my performance in front of thousands – I suggest you unfollow me, and complain to your other social media-troll-friends privately.”

Nashville North featured a star-studded line-up of Canadian country artists, including George Canyon, Aaron Pritchett, and Jess Moskaluke.

Feds tested facial recognition on unsuspecting travellers at Pearson airport in 2016

The federal government tested facial recognition technology on millions of travellers at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport in 2016 – without the consent of travellers.

In a document obtained by The Globe and Mail through a freedom of information request, the initiative was intended to identify people the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) suspected of entering Canada with fake identification.

The six-month initiative is the largest known government deployment of facial recognition technology in Canada to date.

Facial recognition technology is highly controversial and has come under intense scrutiny in recent years. Experts such as the European Union’s privacy watchdog have warned the technology presents extremely high risks of intrusion into individuals’ private lives.

According to the government document obtained by the Globe, the controversial technology was implemented in Pearson’s Terminal 3, where travellers would walk through the international arrivals border control area.

Thirty-one cameras were used to capture the images of travellers’ faces. If the system returned a match against a list of previously deported people, a border officer would review the match and pass the traveller’s information along to an officer on the terminal floor to pull the traveller into secondary inspection.

The project was dubbed “Faces on the Move” and the government hired Ottawa-based contractor Face4 Systems Inc. to conduct the initiative.

According to a presentation by Face4 Systems, facial recognition was used on 15,000 to 20,000 travellers a day. The CBSA told the Globe that 2,951,540 travellers passed through border control at Pearson’s Terminal 3 between July and December, 2016, when the pilot project was running.

It is unclear if any travellers were deported following facial recognition matches. However, according to Face4 Systems Inc, 47 “real hits” resulted from the pilot.

In an e-mailed statement, CBSA spokesperson Jacqueline Callin said the government agency “takes the issue of personal information and privacy seriously.”

“The CBSA explored the ability and use of cameras to capture images of travellers that were compared with an established operational database of high-risk individuals known to be inadmissible to Canada,” she said.

The CBSA says a privacy impact assessment was completed and submitted to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for review and that the agency has no plans to use the facial recognition technology “in any other capacity.”

The facial recognition technology has since been removed from Pearson airport and travellers’ images have been erased, according to the CBSA.

They Refuse to Be Silent

As pressure mounts on you to "get vaccinated," as you are surrounded by Big Media, Big Medicine, Big Pharma, to "do the right thing," and "protect others," know that there are a few honest brokers left in the medical and scientific fields, and at great personal cost, are telling the truth about the "vaccine."

This is the same "vaccine" Anthony Fauci owns the patents on, the one he funded "gain of function" research on, though hiding both facts.

He said he pondered for many months why scientific information was being quashed, and come only conclude the worst. He concluded, "I have lately taken to signing off with 'May God save us,' because I think we need God now more than at any time since WW2."

Dr. Peter McCullough, Vice Chair of Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center and Professor of Medicine at Texas A&M College of Medicine:"Since the onset of this pandemic, I have publicly advocated for allowing doctors to be doctors, to practice medicine, explore different therapies and share their knowledge within the medical community and with the public. I believe international, federal, and state medical agencies and institutions have let us down. I fear too many have been close-minded bureaucrats, potentially driven by conflicting interests and agendas. Tragically, media and the social media have failed to ask the right questions and censored what they do not understand. My public advocacy has connected me to doctors who care and who are trying to compassionately help their patients in spite of the bureaucratic roadblocks that they've encountered."

Dr. Ryan Cole, Founder, Cole Diagnostics, Boise, Idaho, and Mayo Clinic-trained, board-certified pathologist. "If I can give one message to all of you for every winter and autumn for the rest of your lives here it is: there is no such thing as flu and cold season; there is only low vitamin D season."

Dr. Robert Malone, inventor of mRNA vaccine technology, who told Fox News the CDC was yet to conduct "risk benefit analyses" of the vaccines, warning that in young people, the vaccines' "benefits probably don't outweigh the risks." He is in the process of being dematerialized by social media for his comments.

Dr. Martin Kulldorff, Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School and biostatistician and epidemiologist at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. He was locked out of his Twitter account for a month for expressing skepticism on the effectiveness of masks, such censorship is dangerous.

Dr. Kulldorff said: "Open debate is especially important during a public health emergency when many important public health question[s] do not yet have a known answer."

He said Big Tech platforms should reinstate all suspended accounts, because "To censor and silence scientists under such circumstances can lead to many unnecessary deaths."

Dr. Byram Bridle, viral immunologist and associate professor at University of Guelph, Ontario: "We made a big mistake. We thought the spike protein was a great target antigen, we never knew the spike protein itself was a toxin and was a pathogenic protein.
