Toronto man does all the right things when crossing the Canada/U.S. border — but still gets stung with a $6,200 fine!

Do you have a hankering to cross the Canada-U.S. border, be it for tourism or business or anything else? Well, consider the following story as a cautionary tale of sorts.

Toronto resident Ari Kleiman recently drove across the border from Ontario to New York State. He was allowed into the United States on the basis that he was going to have an MRI.

It should be noted that Ari has received both his first and second vaccine doses.

As well, prior to going to the U.S., Ari received a COVID test to prove that he was indeed COVID-19 negative.

And get this: the duration of his trip in New York State was less than four hours. Yet, when he returned to Canada, he was nailed with a huge fine — $5,000 plus a $1,200 victim surcharge. But why?

Well, the Canadian Border Service Agency (CBSA) guard informed Ari he needed to get an additional COVID test on the U.S. side of the border before returning — even though his Canadian test was completely valid.

Ari didn’t want to go back to the U.S., so he was slapped with a $6,200 ticket.

Of note: while driving back to his Toronto home, he even visited a Canadian hospital to get that additional COVID test. That test, too, indicated that he was COVID-19 negative.

He promptly got in touch with the CBSA to inform them of this, but they would not accept this test, for reasons that remain mysterious. And of course, he’s still on the hook for that $6,200 fine!

What an outrage: Ari is hardly the modern day version of Typhoid Mary — so why is he being treated like one? How is a $6,200 fine justified? Why does there seem to be one rule for Ari and another rule for millionaire hockey players or illegal aliens crossing into Canada at Roxham Road?

Use of fentanyl, cannabis and methamphetamines in Canada skyrocketed during pandemic: report

The use of fentanyl, cannabis and methamphetamines spiked across Canada during the early stages of the pandemic, according to a government report.

Statistics Canada’s Canadian Wastewater Survey found that the increase in drug use is a contributor to the spike in overdose deaths last year.

In its report, government researchers analyzed the chemicals in wastewater in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver.

The report found that Vancouver had a per-capita load of fentanyl four times higher than any other city in the report. Edmonton saw the highest per-capita loads of Methamphetamines. Detectable cannabis was the highest in Halifax.

Increased isolation, poverty and a lack of social services caused by lockdowns led to a sharp increase in overdoses. Multiple provinces reported an alarming number of overdose-related deaths in 2020.

In Alberta, a record number of 95 young people under the age of 25 died from accidental opioid overdoses in 2020.

In Ontario, deadly opioid overdoses were up 75% following the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 when compared to deaths the year prior. 2,050 people died of opioid overdoses between March and December 2020.

In the six months after the pandemic began, British Columbia recorded more overdose deaths than deaths from homicide, car accidents, suicide or the coronavirus combined.

Canadians have been victims of some of the strictest public health orders in the world, rivalling communist countries like China and Cuba. A number of government reports have led Canadians to question how effective lockdowns are.

A Statistics Canada report revealed that more Canadians under the age of 65 died from the “indirect consequences” of the pandemic than the COVID-19 virus itself.

Statistics Canada also reported that most of the people who died from COVID-19 in Canada were over the age of 85 and had dementia, Alzheimer’s, chronic heart disease or other pre-existing “cardiovascular and respiratory conditions.”

Trudeau government ran a $24 billion deficit in first two months of fiscal year

There appears to be no end in sight for the Trudeau government’s pandemic spending spree.

In the first two months of its fiscal year, the federal government ran a deficit of $23.8 billion, according to the Finance Department’s regular fiscal monitor.

While the government points out that the $23.8 billion budgetary deficit is a significant drop from the $86.8 billion recorded over the same months in 2020 – when the pandemic first began and the government started implementing various COVID-19 support programs – critics are wondering when the government will reduce spending.

“Of course it’s good to see a smaller budget gap but this is still a massive deficit so the feds shouldn’t be patting themselves on the back,” said the Federal Director with the Canadian Taxpayers Federation Franco Terrazzano.

“We need to make sure all the temporary and costly COVID spending remains temporary because taxpayers can’t afford a repeat of 2020.”

Canada’s federal debt surpassed $1 trillion dollars this year following a frenzy of pandemic spending by the ruling Liberal government. Further, in its latest budget, the government revealed a whopping deficit of $354 billion with no plan to pay down the debt and balance the books.

“Unfortunately, the Trudeau government doesn’t seem to be taking the $1-trillion debt problem seriously because we continue to see massive spending announcement after massive spending announcement,” said Terrazzano.

In its most recent Fiscal Sustainability Report, the Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) warned that the federal government will not return to a balanced budget until 2070 if politicians do not curb spending.

In its estimate, the PBO says the government is projected to tack on an additional $2.7 trillion in debt before balancing the budget in 2070. Interest charged will cost Canadians approximately $3.8 trillion by 2070.

A small group of Albertans want more government in their life and are demanding the Kenney government enforce stricter COVID-19 protocols.

A handful of individuals who were masked and socially distanced outside participated in protests at McDougall Centre in Calgary and the Alberta legislature in Edmonton on Friday and Saturday. The protesters were upset with the Alberta government’s decision to loosen public health measures.

Earlier this week, citing high vaccination rates, the government announced that they would be dropping a number of public health measures, including contact tracers, mandatory isolation and the province-wide mask mandate.

The pro-lockdown protests were organized by Dr. Joe Vipond and Albert Nobbs.

Vipond is an outspoken critic of the Kenney government and has been in favour of lockdowns since the start of the pandemic. Nobbs is one of the founders of the Alberta Activist Collective – an advocacy group determined to defeat the United Conservative Party in the next election.

“Everything that I hear now coming out of [Chief Medical Officer of Health of Alberta Dr. Deena] Hinshaw’s mouth is gaslighting and outright lies. How can I trust my government?” said Vipond at the protest.

During the protest, Vipond also demanded the resignation of Premier Kenney, Health Minister Tyler Shandro and Dr. Hinshaw.

“We want resignations from Dr. Hinshaw, Premier Kenney, Minister Shandro and we want to negotiate a return to sane public health policy.”

He went on to add that Dr. Hinshaw has lost the “moral authority to be our public health leader.”

The protests were also attended by labour union groups, teachers union members and New Democrat MLAs, who all seized on the opportunity to criticize the Kenney government.

On Wednesday, Premier Kenney said that Albertans will need to learn to live with COVID-19 and accused the legacy media and activists of promoting fear.

“COVID continues to exist. As I’ve said before, the virus will continue to circulate. Numbers will go up and they’ll go down, but what matters most is that the widespread protective effect of vaccines is real,” Kenney said.

“We should stop listening to people who deny the powerful protective effect of vaccines.”

According to the latest government statistics, there are currently 1,655 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta. Among eligible Albertans age 12 or older, 75.8% have now received a single dose of a COVID-19 vaccine while 65% have now had two doses.

O’Toole says New Brunswick should be able to decide how to fund abortions

In sharp contrast to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Conservative leader Erin O’Toole says if he becomes Prime Minister, he would leave it up to the New Brunswick government to decide how to fund abortion services.

Earlier this week, Trudeau said his government will be withholding healthcare transfers to New Brunswick because he claims the province is limiting access to abortion.

The provincial government subsidizes abortions at two hospitals in Moncton and one in Bathurst, but says it will not cover the cost of the procedure at the privately-owned Clinic 554 in Fredericton.

While in Fredericton on Friday, O’Toole said Trudeau’s decision to withhold healthcare transfers to the province is for “political gain and to divide Canadians.”

“How the provinces run their health care systems is not what the federal government should be interfering with,” O’Toole said.

According to Trudeau, the New Brunswick government has not lived up to its obligations under the Canada Health Act because it continues to make it difficult for women to access abortions.

“Making sure that every woman across this country has access to reliable reproductive services is extremely important to us, and that’s why we’ve continued … to impress strongly upon the government of New Brunswick how it needs to keep up its obligations under the Canada Health Act,” Trudeau told reporters in Moncton on Tuesday.

Pro-life advocacy group RightNow co-founder Alissa Golob sharply criticized Trudeau’s decision to withhold healthcare transfers to New Brunswick.

“Justin Trudeau is such an extremist on the abortion issue, he would rather withhold taxpayer dollars (without taxpayer consent) during a pandemic, than follow the Canada Health Act and let provinces decide funding decisions themselves,” Golob told True North.

“In Trudeau’s twisted mind, killing children supersedes life-threatening medical conditions. Let that sink in.”

Despite O’Toole’s pro-choice stance, the Conservative leader has allowed his MPs to vote on abortion-related bills according to their conscience.

Taxes are an important source of revenue for most countries. In fact, as Visual Capitalist's Carmen Ang notes, taxes provide around 50% or more of government funds in almost every country in the world.

How does each country’s tax system compare to one another? This question is tricky to answer. Since countries’ populations and economies differ greatly, measuring total tax revenue is not the best way to compare international tax systems.

Instead, using a tax-to-GDP ratio is one of the more useful ways to compare tax systems around the world.

What is the Tax-to-GDP Ratio?

The tax-to-GDP ratio compares a country’s tax revenue to the size of its economy, which in this case is measured by its GDP.

The higher the ratio, the higher the proportion of money that goes to government coffers. If managed effectively, this can support the long-term health and prosperity of an economy. According to research conducted by the International Monetary Fund, countries should have a tax-to-GDP ratio of at least 12% in order to experience accelerated economic growth.

The countries that are part of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) all meet that threshold, with an average tax-to-GDP ratio of 33.8%.

The dataset used for this graphic looks at 35 of the 37 OECD countries, since recent data for Australia and Japan was not available.

At 46.3%, Denmark has the highest ratio on the list. The country puts its relatively high tax revenue to use, particularly when it comes to subsidizing post-secondary education—in Denmark, university is free for all EU citizens.

On the less-taxed end of the spectrum, the U.S. ranks 30 out of 35, with a ratio of 24.5%—that’s notably lower than the OECD average of 33.8%. It’s also worth mentioning that the U.S. has one of the highest GDP per capita measures out of all OECD countries.

Where does America’s tax revenue come from? It gains most of its revenue from the personal income tax. In fact, 41% of the country’s total tax revenue comes from taxes on personal income, as well as individual profits and gains—for context, the OECD average is 24%.

With President Biden’s recent announcement to increase corporate taxes and personal investment gains, America’s ratio could look a lot different in the near future.

Can G7 Countries Compete With China's Belt And Road Initiative?

Following the expansion of Chinese-led projects in many emerging markets over the past decade, the G7 has unveiled its own initiative to support global infrastructure development, dubbed Build Back Better World (B3W). Announced at a G7 meeting in June, the B3W will focus on four main areas: climate, health, digital technology and gender. Its overarching goal is to catalyse hundreds of billions of dollars of infrastructure development in low- and middle-income countries.

Beyond this outline, little information has been released about how the B3W initiative will operate in practice. However, it is clear that it responds to two broad, interconnected aims.

On the one hand, the B3W will constitute “a values-driven, high-standard, and transparent infrastructure partnership”, according to a fact sheet put out by the US government.

It seeks to help narrow the more than $40trn infrastructure gap in the developing world, which has been exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

On the other hand, the B3W will serve as a counterweight to China’s flagship Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), with the fact sheet highlighting that it will be a means of “strategic competition with China”.

BRI pivots away from infrastructure

Launched in 2013 and initially intended to revive ancient Silk Road trade routes between Eurasia and China, the BRI grew to become a far-reaching plan for transnational infrastructure development, linking countries and continents through land and sea corridors and industrial clusters.

The BRI caused consternation among G7 countries from the moment of its inception. This was due in part to the fact that it was widely seen as a way to expand Chinese geopolitical influence.

For example, in December 2017 Sri Lanka formally ceded 70% control of Hambantota Port to a Chinese state-owned firm on a 99-year lease after the government was unable to service Chinese loans used to build the $1.3bn strategic gateway on the Indian Ocean.

Concerns have also been raised over the lack of transparency in terms of lending, environmental and social impacts, and corruption.

However, some of these apprehensions have been eased by recent developments. As OBG has covered previously, since the Covid-19 pandemic the BRI has increasingly moved away from big-ticket infrastructure projects, with China placing a greater focus on sustainable, digital and health-related aspects – the so-called green, digital and health silk roads.

This pivot has meant that the countries participating in the BRI are receiving fewer financial resources: from a peak of more than $125bn in total spending in 2015, China spent around $47bn on BRI projects last year.

Mind the gap

China’s shift away from infrastructure projects has left a gap which the B3W is aiming to fill.

A key aspect of the B3W is the mobilisation of private sector capital through the expansion of existing development finance tools.

This reflects an awareness that what the US administration calls “status quo funding and financing approaches” are insufficient to close the vast infrastructure gap which continues to stymie development in emerging economies around the world.

According to the Global Infrastructure Hub, a G20 initiative, the world is facing a $400bn gap in infrastructure investment this year, a figure that could cumulatively grow to $15trn by 2040 if current rates of spending continue.

Another key pillar of B3W is sustainability, a term that has become a watchword globally in light of Covid-19 and escalating ecological disasters.

In this respect, the B3W’s aims dovetail with growing appetite among private sector investors for green projects – evidenced by the record $269.5bn in green bond issuance last year, according to the Climate Bonds Initiative, a figure which some expect to double in 2021.

Among other factors, this would suggest that the B3W is well placed to capitalise on investment trends.

Many emerging economies are in urgent need of funds to drive their Covid-19 recoveries, and are waiting expectantly for further details of how the initiative will operate. However, while the principles enshrined in recent announcements are certainly encouraging, more details will need to emerge promptly in order to demonstrate that the B3W is more than a memorable acronym.

In places like Europe, the UK and Australia vaccinations rates are higher and governments have moved on to the vaccine passport phase of their agenda.

Some people may be confused by the obvious lockstep that most nations are moving in as far as covid mandates and restrictions are concerned. How is it possible that almost all the governments on the planet are in agreement on medical totalitarianism? Well, it’s rather easy to understand when you realize the majority of them are linked together through globalist institutions like the World Economic Forum, which has repeatedly called the pandemic a “perfect opportunity” to push through their plans for a “Great Reset”.

The “Great Reset” is a long term ideological usurpation of what’s left of individual freedom and free market economies, and it’s goal is the imposition of a global socialist/communist dictatorship. Globalists wrap these objectives in pretty sounding words and humanitarian sounding aspirations, but at bottom the “Reset” is about an end to liberty as we know it. This is not an exaggeration, this is reality; this is what these people desire above all else. But how to achieve such a goal?

Well, interestingly enough the WEF and the Bill And Melinda Gates Foundation described exactly how they planned to do it during a “simulation” they held in October of 2019 called “Event 201”. During the event, they imagined a massive coronavirus pandemic, spread supposedly from animals to humans, which would facilitate the need for pervasive restrictions on individual liberties, national economies as well as the internet and social media. I’m sure it’s all a coincidence, but the exact same scenario the globalists at the WEF played out during Event 201 happened in the real world only two months later.

In any case, the pandemic itself has been a boon for the globalists. We have not seen a far reaching government power and corporate power grab since the rise of the National Socialists in Europe and the spread of communism in Russia and China almost a century ago. In fact, I would say that what humanity as a whole is facing today is much worse than what those wretched empires ever could have produced.

There is no doubt; globalist institutions and their government “partners” are the greatest beneficiaries of the covid crisis. They stand to gain ultimate social and political power if their agenda to exploit the pandemic succeeds.

That said, there a few hangups in their plan, and this is why I believe we are seeing an aggressive propaganda push in recent weeks. For example, as I outlined with extensive evidence in my article ‘Biden’s Vaccine Strike Force Plan Stinks Of Desperation’, it appears that the vaccination rate, especially in the US, is nowhere near as high as the elites would like.

While the Biden Administration and the CDC claims an overall vaccination rate of 67%, numerous other stats including the Mayo Clinics state map numbers indicate that only four states in the US actually have a vaccination rate over 65% (for one dose or more), and the majority of states have rates around 50% or less. Even large population blue states like California and New York are not above the 65% mark, and frankly, those numbers are going nowhere as vaccinations are dropping off a cliff.

If someone has not submitted by now with zero wait times and ample doses everywhere, then they are unlikely to ever be vaccinated.

Contradictory stats suggest to me that Biden and the CDC are inflating their vaccination numbers to create the illusion that a larger majority of Americans support the jab. And if this is the case, it explains why Biden, Fauci and the mainstream media are force feeding the public with pro-vaccine hype that consistently contradicts the real science. They are not getting the fear and public compliance that they had hoped for.

Mask-Free Sweden Nears Zero Daily Covid Deaths As Chief Epidemiologist Warns Against ‘Far-Reaching Conclusions’ About Delta Strain

Anders Tegnell said on Friday that there was “a lot we do not know” about Delta and cautioned against drawing “far-reaching conclusions” about the coronavirus strain. He noted that the variant had been circulating in Sweden “for quite some time” with little effect, particularly in high-risk settings such as nursing homes.

His comments were made in response to newly released data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) suggesting the Delta strain is more transmissible and could potentially cause more severe illness. The New York Times and other media outlets ran stories reporting that the CDC now believes the Delta variant is as contagious as chickenpox – but this comparison didn’t seem to impress Tegnell.

“It is difficult to say how contagious Delta is, [as] when it comes to chickenpox, we have been able to follow the disease for several years. The infectivity [of Delta] seems to be very uneven – in some cases, one person infects a hundred people, then we have other occasions when an infected person does not infect anyone at all,” he told Sweden’s Aftonbladet.

In separate remarks, he pointed to the fact that one-third of the country’s municipalities reported zero new Covid cases over the past week. At the same time, there was an uptick in cases among young people in Stockholm and other large cities.

And while US health authorities are pressing Americans in “high transmission” areas to mask up, Sweden dropped its last remaining mask recommendation – related to public transport – on July 1. While Sweden’s public health agency has supported measures such as social distancing and remote working, it has no recommendations for the use of face coverings in public spaces.

Reviled by the media for refusing to impose harsh lockdowns, Sweden’s less draconian approach to the health crisis appears to be paying off: The Scandinavian nation has recorded a total of eight Covid-linked deaths so far this month, an average of 0.25 deaths per day. While it’s possible this number will increase due to reporting lags, deaths have undoubtedly plummeted over the past several months. On June 4, Sweden reported 13 deaths – more than the entire month of July.

Daily hospitalizations have also hovered near zero in July: On most days this month, the country saw between 0-2 Covid-cases requiring hospital treatment. At the same time, daily cases have fallen sharply since April.

Despite the promising developments, Tegnell warned against getting too comfortable. He stressed on Friday that Sweden was still in a pandemic and urged his countrymen, especially those in younger age groups, to get vaccinated.

There are 18 plots at the farm, a fenced space in a hydro corridor some residents mistook for a dog park until MFRC tilled it with a two-wheeled tractor and dropped black mushroom compost along the centre of each bed.

Native Child and Family Services Toronto will work one plot, while another two are community plots where all farmers must contribute.

The idea drew a great community response in 2015, when MFRC asked what residents wanted from a farm.

Access to healthy and affordable food is an issue in Malvern and Morningside Heights, but though the agency was backed by Toronto’s Community Engagement and Entrepreneurial Development (CEED) Garden Program, getting a sublease agreement for part of a hydro field took several years, said Amy Semenuk, MFRC’s community and family programs and services manager.

The farm, which still needs a water line installed, won’t charge farmers’ fees this year, but wants them producing crops that can be sold in northeast Scarborough and that reflect its cultures, she said.

“People will feel good about organic produce grown in their community because they’ve seen where it’s being grown.”

LANGFORD, B.C.—The people behind Emma’s Acres are used to setbacks. There’s judgment, disappointment, and hoops to jump through when running a prison-to-table farm in Canada.

Their most recent setback — the rejection of a proposal to buy some land near Victoria for a new farm — is one they will not take lying down. Bringing Emma’s Acres to Vancouver Island means taking the idea back to the home of its namesake, and its founder.

And it means expanding a model for prison farming unlike any other in Canada.

Under their proposal, prisoners do the bulk of the farming while victims of violent crime benefit from the fruits of the labour — either by getting produce for free, or getting counselling support paid for by the sale of the veggies.

“Now anybody that tells them that they are a survivor of having a family member succumb to violence, they can have free produce,” said Linda Cain, president of the church board that was proposing to buy the Langford property and lease it to a society called Long-term Inmates Now in the Community Society (L.I.N.C.). “And there’s some people who have been hurt, they’ve been hurt very very badly. And they’ve said: ‘If you want the whole field of kale you can take the whole field of kale.’”

The Victoria Truth Centre — a non-denominational church whose former reverend, Emma Smiley, is the farm’s namesake, had proposed to buy the unused property for over $1 million and lease it to the society for $1 a year to run the farm. A similar property, called Emma’s Acres in Mission, B.C., has been operating since 2012, with volunteers from prison and the community coming together to grow fresh produce, the proceeds of which go to supports for victims of violent crime.

The city of Langford turned down the proposal.

The funds raised at Emma’s Acres pay for counselling for victims of crime, and the food they grow goes directly to victims. It runs with support from Correctional Services Canada (CSC) but differs in major ways from the typical model of a prison farm.

Prison farms — or agricultural programs, as the CSC calls them, were shut down by former prime minister Stephen Harper’s government in 2011 and are now in the process of being reinstated.

They are aimed at providing employment experience to prisoners and often involve large-scale production of one item (such as dairy milk) on prison grounds.

A spokesperson for CSC said that currently there are agricultural programs at Collins Bay and Joyceville Institutions in Ontario where prisoners work to grow crops for themselves and food banks and can gain vocational certificates. CSC is also implementing larger-scale farm efforts, which will include dairy cow farming.

Campaigns by prisoners’ advocates and farming communities were instrumental in getting the CSC to reopen the prison farms, which provide work opportunities and a restorative connection with living things, but at least one advocacy group has criticized the plan for focusing too much on industrial production rather than harvesting healthy plant-based foods for prisoners and the communities around them.

Emma’s Acres, on the other hand, is a tiny six-acre lot that grows a variety of fruits and vegetables, and is worked by vetted, supervised inmates on day parole. And in B.C., where there is no agriculture program run by CSC, it’s a unique model.

“(The inmates) have to apply to go, they have to have months and months of a proven record of wanting to improve themselves,” said Cain. She said the program acts like a detox from prison, and that it’s not just about using prison labour to produce goods.

“People get hung up on the fact that there’s monetary value,” she said. “It is a nurturing thing.”

L.I.N.C. works with inmates with varying criminal backgrounds at federal institutions, usually those who have been in prison a long time and are progressing through various programs to prepare them for parole. To qualify for the farm they have to be vetted both by CSC and by L.I.N.C. and they are supervised while volunteering in the community. Continue…

American Couple Fined $50,000 For Traveling To Canada With Fake Vaccination Documents

Canada has for more than the past year become known as having arguably the most stringent and far-reaching travel screening and lockdown/quarantine polices of any country. For example the US-Canada border is still closed, but is set to open August 9th - only for the fully vaccinated.

Throughout what's essentially been more or less a 'permanent' state of lockdown since the start of the pandemic, even Canadians re-entering the country from outside have had to quarantine for at least two weeks if they can't show proof of vaccination. This policy has been in effect in other countries as well, especially in Europe, which has perhaps made it inevitable that foreign travelers have sought to find ways around the restrictions. Authorities have worried about fake vaccination certificates popping up globally as the concept of 'COVID passports' has remained under discussion and is already fast becoming a reality at least in practice.

One particular recent instance being reported this week included a pair of American travelers busted by the Canadian government for what were described as fake COVID-19 vaccination documents, apparently in their bid to avoid quarantine measures and successfully enter the country.

They were reportedly fined 20,000 Canadian dollars each - or about $25,000 USD - after getting caught with the fakes. In total the pair will pay a whopping $50,000 fine.

"The unnamed travelers arrived from the U.S. in Canada the week of July 18. Officials from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) fined each traveler four times for a total of 19,720 CAD per traveler" Fox details.

Official protocol required that they also show a negative COVID test before boarding the inbound plane, after which travelers are required to be confined in a government-approved hotel for three days at the end of which they have to test negative again. All of this is at the traveler's expense of course.

In this latest falsified documents case, the American pair even had fake negative tests:

The fake documents consisted of proof of vaccinations and pre-departure tests; officials also cited the pair for "non-compliance" with government requirements for accommodation and on-arrival testing, according to a PHAC press release.

The press release further laid out the maximum possible penalty for traveling with fake COVID documents or lying to enforcement officers as follows:

Violating any quarantine or isolation instructions provided to travellers by a screening officer or quarantine officer when entering Canada is also an offence under the Quarantine Act and could lead to a $5,000 fine for each day of non-compliance or for each offence committed, or more serious penalties, including six months in prison and/or $750,000 in fines.

But likely this is only the beginning - as what are tantamount to 'vaccine passports' becomes the de facto new normal across various parts of the globe, there's little doubt that an entire sophisticated counterfeit documents industry will arise - if it hasn't already.

I’m not going to show you all those signs out again. People like me have been pointing them out, and reading them out loud, for 17 months now. Anyone who knows anything about the history of totalitarianism, how it incrementally transforms society into a monstrous mirror image of itself, has known since the beginning what the “New Normal” is, and we have been shouting from the rooftops about it.

We have watched as the New Normal transformed our societies into paranoid, pathologized, authoritarian dystopias where people now have to show their “papers” to see a movie or get a cup of coffee and publicly display their ideological conformity to enter a supermarket and buy their groceries.

We have watched as the New Normal transformed the majority of the masses into hate-drunk, hysterical mobs that are openly persecuting “the Unvaccinated,” the official “Untermenschen” of the New Normal ideology.

We have watched as the New Normal has done precisely what every totalitarian movement in history has done before it, right by the numbers. We pointed all this out, each step of the way. I’m not going to reiterate all that again.

I am, however, going to document where we are at the moment, and how we got here … for the record, so that the people who will tell you later that they “had no clue where the trains were going” will understand why we no longer trust them, and why we regard them as cowards and collaborators, or worse.

Yes, that’s harsh, but this is not a game. It isn’t a difference of opinion. The global-capitalist ruling establishment is implementing a new, more openly totalitarian structure of society and method of rule. They are revoking our constitutional and human rights, transferring power out of sovereign governments and democratic institutions into unaccountable global entities that have no allegiance to any nation or its people.

That is what is happening … right now. It isn’t a TV show. It’s actually happening.

The time for people to “wake up” is over. At this point, you either join the fight to preserve what is left of those rights, and that sovereignty, or you surrender to the “New Normal,” to global-capitalist totalitarianism. I couldn’t care less what you believe about the virus, or its mutant variants, or the experimental “vaccines.” This isn’t an abstract argument over “the science.” It is a fight … a political, ideological fight. On one side is democracy, on the other is totalitarianism. Pick a fucking side, and live with it.

Anyway, here’s where we are at the moment, and how we got here, just the broad strokes.

It’s August 2021, and Germany has officially banned demonstrations against the “New Normal” official ideology. Other public assemblies, like the Christopher Street Day demo (pictured below), one week ago, are still allowed. The outlawing of political opposition is a classic hallmark of totalitarian systems. It’s also a classic move by the German authorities, which will give them the pretext they need to unleash the New Normal goon squads on the demonstrators tomorrow.

In Australia, the military has been deployed to enforce total compliance with government decrees … lockdowns, mandatory public obedience rituals, etc. In other words, it is de facto martial law. This is another classic hallmark of totalitarian systems.

In France, restaurant and other business owners who serve “the Unvaccinated” will now be imprisoned, as will, of course, “the Unvaccinated.” The scapegoating, demonizing, and segregating of “the Unvaccinated” is happening in countries all over the world. France is just an extreme example. The scapegoating, dehumanizing, and segregating of minorities — particularly the regime’s political opponents — is another classic hallmark of totalitarian systems.

In the UK, Italy, Greece, and numerous other countries throughout the world, this pseudo-medical social-segregation system is also being introduced, in order to divide societies into “good people” (i.e., compliant) and “bad” (i.e., non-compliant).

The “good people” are being given license and encouraged by the authorities and the corporate media to unleash their rage on the “the Unvaccinated,” to demand our segregation in internment camps, to openly threaten to viciously murder us.

This is also a hallmark of totalitarian systems.

And that, my friends, is where we are.

Men's Health also cited a 2004 study that showed men had more white blood cells 45 minutes after they had a solo orgasm. For those who don't know, white blood cells are part of the body's immune system that help fight infection and other diseases.

According to the study by the Department of Medical Psychology, University Clinic of Essen, Germany, "these findings demonstrate that components of the innate immune system are activated by sexual arousal and orgasm."

Touching oneself might not prevent infection, but orgasms generally help people relax and elevate mood that is key to a healthy immune system.

Dr. Felice Gersh, a gynecologist and obstetrician who specializes in women's health, said chronic masturbation might not prevent COVID, but "it's not going to create harm."

"I think the takeaway message is that there are no negatives from it," Gersh said.

Further research needs to be done to see if masturbation can supercharger the immune system and provide an extra layer of defenses against viruses.

Two years ago I might have resonated with this, and though the author makes some powerful points, I think this "non-compliance" stance is naive.

Look around the world at all the protests and uprisings, all the sign-holding, all the appeals at town halls and city council meetings, all the accredited scientists and other professionals exposing the lies and the tyranny, all the journalists showing what's behind the curtain. Still the machine pushes forward.

We're now at the point of lock-and-load and be ready to self-defend and to defend what you love. We are the unorganized resistance, because, as you know, to organize is to invite infiltration and co-opting.

This will happen on an individual basis as each draws his or her line in the sand.

Death or slavery are the other options.

As a Christian, this is not an easy place to arrive at, but one blessed by Christ himself, and other luminaries who preached non-violence. Let me elaborate on that with a few examples and quotes as I now see self-defense, and defence of the innocent, as a noble path.

I was having a conversation with an acquaintance and we discussed self-defence. He said that he had mixed emotions about it and would never want the karma for killing someone; I said that I'd never want the karma for not protecting the innocent. Simplistic, but the point was made. Compassion has many faces. I told him I used to be where he is, but not anymore.

Once in concert I heard Pete Seeger, who sang countless songs about peace, say he wasn't a true pacifist. He said "If they came here, I'd fight."

I remember also, that Martin Luther King applied for concealed-carry before he died (it's on record) and travelled with many body guards.

Now I see self-defence, and defence of the innocent, as a noble path.

The confidential agreement states on page 105 that the providers “Moderna” have agreed together with the “National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases” (NIAID), “mRNA coronavirus vaccine candidates” that were developed by NIAID and Moderna are jointly owned on December 12, 2019 to the recipient “The Universisty of North Carolina at Chapel Hill”.

The material transfer agreement was signed on December 12, 2019 by Ralph Baric, PhD, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and on December 16, 2019, by Jacqueline Quay, Director of Licensing and Innovation Support at the University of North Carolina, signed.

The agreement was also signed by two representatives from NIAID, one of whom was Amy F. Petrik PhD, a technology transfer specialist, who signed the agreement on December 12, 2019 at 8:05 a.m.

The other signatory was Barney Graham, MD PhD, an investigator for the NIAID, however this signature was undated.

The latest to sign the agreement were Sunny Himansu, Moderna Investigator, and Shaun Ryan, Moderna Deputy General Councel. Both signatures were given on December 17, 2019.

All of these signatures were made before the occurrence of the novel coronavirus became known. It was only on December 31, 2019 that the World Health Organization (WHO) became aware of an alleged accumulation of viral pneumonia cases in Wuhan, China.

But even at this point in time, she had not yet established that a supposedly new coronavirus was to blame, but instead stated that the pneumonia had an “unknown cause”.

It was not until January 9, 2020 that the WHO reported that the Chinese authorities had determined that the outbreak was due to a novel coronavirus that later became known as SARS-CoV-2 and that the resulting disease was named COVID-19.

The Long Haul COVID Syndrome (LHCS) is an often debilitating syndrome characterized by a multitude of symptoms such as prolonged malaise, headaches, generalized fatigue, sleep difficulties, smell disorder, decreased appetite, painful joints, dyspnea, chest pain and cognitive dysfunction. The incidence of symptoms after COVID varies from as low as 10% to as high as 80%. LHCS is not only seen after the COVID infection but it is being observed in some people that have received vaccines (likely due to monocyte activation by the spike protein from the vaccine). A puzzling feature of the LHCS syndrome is that it is not predicted by initial disease severity; post-COVID-19 frequently affects mild-to-moderate cases and younger adults that did not require respiratory support or intensive care.

The symptom set of LHCS in the majority of cases is very similar to the chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS)/myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome, although in LHCS, symptoms tend to improve slowly in the majority of the cases. Furthermore, the similarity between the mast cell activation syndrome and LHCS has been observed, and many consider post-COVID-19 to be a variant of the mast cell activation syndrome. LHCS is highly heterogenous and likely results from a variety of pathogenetic mechanisms. Furthermore, it is likely that delayed treatment (with ivermectin) in the early symptomatic phase will result in a high viral load, which increases the risk and severity of LHCS.

Although numerous reports describe the epidemiology and clinical features of LHCS, studies evaluating treatment options are glaringly sparse. Indeed, the NICE guideline for managing the long-term effects of COVID-19 provide no specific pharmacologic treatment recommendations.

A national strategy to fight anti-Muslim hate across society is one of 61 recommendations released Monday by the National Council of Canadian Muslims ahead of a summit on Islamophobia to be held later this week….

Mustafa Farooq, chief executive officer of the NCCM, told reporters in southwestern Ontario the recommendations target every level of government and were compiled following consultations with members of the Muslim community across the country.

“We need to see action and we need to see it now,” Farooq said. “Governments attending the summit must know that we want more than their attendance, we want to see their commitment to timelines.”

More than half of the recommendations are directed toward the federal government and include the creation of a strategy to fight Islamophobia within the civil service and the wider Canadian society. The group suggested Ottawa create a special envoy to deal with Islamophobia and to investigate alleged profiling within the Canada Revenue Agency and national security agencies, Farooq said.

Other recommendations consist of amending the Criminal Code to include specific penalties and dedicated prosecutors for hate crimes involving assault, threats, mischief and murder. The group also wants the government to no longer require the attorney general’s consent before hate-based and genocide cases are prosecuted.

For provinces, the recommendations include teaching about Islamophobia in schools, an accountability system for police hate-crimes units and the prohibition of white supremacist rallies.

In Quebec City, the announcement took place outside the Islamic Cultural Centre, the site of a deadly shooting in January 2017 that left six men dead and others seriously injured. “The reality is Canada has suffered more mass killings in the past five years than any other country in the G7,” Farooq said. “This cannot be allowed to continue.”…

Of the 61 recommendations, Al-Azem highlighted one calling on the attorney general to intervene in all challenges to Quebec’s secularism law, known as Bill 21. The law, adopted in June 2019, prohibits public sector workers who are deemed to be in positions of authority, including teachers, police officers and judges, from wearing religious symbols at work. It makes pre-emptive use of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms’ notwithstanding clause, which shields legislation from court challenges over violations of fundamental rights….

Canada finally has a province willing to stand against the madness of endless lockdowns, media fear-mongering, and irrational paranoia when it comes to COVID-19.

Alberta announced earlier this week that it is lifting many of its remaining COVID restrictions — including forced quarantine and mask mandates.

Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Deena Hinshaw announced the province’s new approach to the virus earlier this week, noting that Alberta is dropping forced quarantine requirements for those who had close contact with a COVID patient, and later this summer will drop all quarantine mandates and many mask requirements.

In other words, they’ll be treating COVID much like any other airborne illness.

When you’re sick with the flu, you stay home – not because of some government edict but simply out of caution, respect for others and common sense. The government does not legally require quarantine for people with other illnesses, no matter how severe the symptoms are or how contagious it may be.

And while most Albertans let out a sigh of relief, these measures were quickly condemned and demonized by the usual suspects in the authoritarian left-wing lockdown crowd.

“Who does this to their own public?” read one CTV headline, in a story featuring an angry ER doctor (wearing scrubs in his own living room, for some reason) who apparently wants Canada to stay locked down forever.

While many journalists expressed anger at Alberta’s leadership for daring to open, some journalists directed that contempt at the people of Alberta.

“The first thing you need to know is that Alberta was initially largely settled by Americans, that they are god’s chosen people, and that it’s their hard work and ingenuity that put the oil in the ground, and it’s their hard work and ingenuity that pulls it out again,” said Dale Smith, an Ottawa-based freelance reporter who is a member of the Parliamentary Press Gallery.

“With this in mind, they are more concerned about individual “freedoms” than the collective good,” said Smith, who is originally from Calgary but apparently had so much disdain for his compatriots he left.

“It is inconceivable to me. It is the height of insanity,” added Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi of Dr. Hinshaw’s decision to no longer mandate quarantine.

It’s remarkable how quickly the tables have turned.

I’m old enough to remember three months ago when left-wing voices were hectoring the anti-lockdown crowd for daring to criticize the all-knowing public health officials. But now that public health officials are beginning to change their tune, the authoritarian lockdown crowd — including Nenshi and Smith — have given themselves permission to condemn these experts to their heart’s content.

It must be nice to believe you have the moral high ground no matter what side of the issue you take.

The global COVID pandemic and ensuing lockdowns gave these busybodies a taste of unlimited power and control, and they liked it a little bit too much to simply let it go.

Ironically, by demanding more restrictions — even for vaccinated Canadians — these left-wing doctors, journalists and politicians are undermining the case to get vaccinated.

The reality is that, according to data from the Public Health Agency of Canada, the COVID case mortality rate for patients with one dose is 0.0027% and 0.0018% for those who are double vaxxed. That’s about on par with the seasonal flu.

Compound the very low risk for the vaccinated with new information about the drastic impact of lockdowns on mental health and well-being and it makes Alberta’s new approach seem like a slam dunk.

A recent Statscan report showed that more than four times as many working-aged Canadians died from the lockdowns than from the virus.

Between January 2020 to April 2021, 5,535 Canadians under the age of 65 died because of “indirect consequences” due to the pandemic, while 1,380 Canadians in the same age group died from the virus during that same time period.

The lockdowns were deadlier than the virus for most Canadians. It’s time to stop listening to the left-wing lockdown authoritarians and start living our lives again.

Both the team’s official roster and the Canada Soccer website support her in her delusion, listing her with the singular name, Quinn. According to CBC News, Quinn will become the first openly transgender and non-binary athlete to win an Olympic medal, as the team is assured of a gold or silver.

Last fall, Quinn publicly announced on a social media post that she believed she is a man, and now goes by the pronouns they and them. While Quinn played college soccer for Duke University, she was on the board of the college’s chapter of Athlete Ally. This is an organization aiming to “create visibility, inclusivity, and awareness around the LGBTQIA+ community in sports.”

“Athletics is the most exciting part of my life and it brings me the most joy,” Quinn told CBC Sports on Monday. “If I can allow kids to play the sports they love, that’s my legacy and that’s what I’m here for.”

The Tokyo Olympics disregards biology and allows most transgender athletes to compete against athletes of the gender with which they identify, despite this contradicting their actual gender.

For example, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is allowing Laurel Hubbard, a biological male, to compete in the female weightlifting division, because he identifies as a woman. Surprisingly, Hubbard was unable to register a lift in the competition this morning, according to CNN.

However, Quinn is still competing on the female team, despite identifying as male or “non-binary.” In Ohio last month, Democrats shouted down Republican Rep. Jena Powell, who proposed to reserve female sports for biological females.

In extended remarks from the Global Technology Governance Summit, Professor Russell said that people shouldn’t be afraid of automation taking their jobs for the time being, saying: “The kind of AI that people are worried about taking all the jobs doesn’t exist yet.”

Professor Amy Webb of New York University’s Stern School of Business predicted the increased use of editing genomes in order to “write a new code for life” and “redesign organisms for beneficial purposes”.

The professor said that this process has already begun with some of the coronavirus vaccines, which she noted: “make use of an engineered code in the form of messenger RNA”.

Webb went on to predict the use of “diminished reality glasses” which would enable the wearer remove unwanted things from their view, such as “garbage or other people”.

Alberta's relationship with the rest of Canada has been strained during the reign of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Trudeau's political ideology is largely the opposite of what drives the province, and it should come as no surprise that many Albertans are left wondering what the next step is, as Wild Rose Country ponders its path forward.

Joining yesterday's episode of The Ezra Levant Show to discuss the future of Alberta's relationship with the rest of Canada was former advisor to Stephen Harper, conservative political activist and author Tom Flanagan.

With many of the reforms introduced by Alberta being blocked by the Liberal establishment in Ottawa, Tom, the editor of a new book, Moment of Truth: How to Think About Alberta's Future, wonders if the best route is to try some tactics that haven't yet been tried.

One of those tactics Tom referred to was the upcoming referendum on equalization:

It's been talked about for 20 years or more, ever since the publication of the so-called Firewall Letter, but hasn't actually been tried. Well, it will be tried this fall. There's a Supreme Court decision that says if a province requests a constitutional discussion on something, other provinces and Ottawa are bound to at least come to the table and discuss it.

So, that's the point of the referendum on equalization, [it] is to provoke a constitutional discussion showing how unfair this program is to Alberta and demanding some change into it.

Now, will it succeed? I don't know — but at least it's a step forward that hasn't been tried yet.

CBC hiring “close protection security” for next two years

CBC/Radio Canada has posted a tender looking for “close protection security” in multiple regions across the country.

The online tender is set at a duration of two years and may be handed to a private contractor if the applicants don't meet the CBC's standards:

The objective of this RFSA is to qualify Suppliers with recent experience on an ad hoc basis, will assist CBC/Radio-Canada in handling its Close Protection Security. A maximum of three (3) firms by categories, by region, namely Quebec, Ontario, Eastern and Western Canada.

CBC/Radio-Canada wishes to pre-qualify suppliers from across the country who are able to meet its various security services. CBC/Radio-Canada reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine the number of pre-qualified suppliers.

CBC/Radio-Canada reserves the right to award a private contract to a supplier not pre-qualified through this RFSA, on a case-by-case basis according to immediate operational requirements.

Toronto Blue Jays the most recent example of elites being granted special status

Last Friday, the Toronto Blue Jays played their unofficial home opener, in that they actually got to play a home game in Hogtown as opposed to Florida or Buffalo.

As the team’s website triumphantly notes: “After nearly two years away, the Toronto Blue Jays are finally coming home to Canada beginning July 30. The club was granted a National Interest Exemption by the federal government that will allow Major League Baseball games to be played at Rogers Centre, with robust health and safety protocols in place.”

Who knew that America’s favourite pastime was so important in Canada that it would qualify for a “national interest exemption”?

And, say, what is a “national interest exemption” in the first place?

Well, according to the federal government, such an order exempts “a foreign national whose presence in Canada, in the opinion of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship or the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, is in the national interest. National interest considerations used to overcome the travel restrictions pertain to why the person should exceptionally and immediately be allowed to board a flight bound for Canada or enter Canada. For example, business visitors travelling to contribute to Canada’s critical infrastructure may be considered to be in the national interest.”

And, um, professional baseball players…

So, in other words, money talks and B.S. walks.

If you are a multimillionaire baseball player playing ball for a multi-billion dollar conglomerate such as Rogers Communications Inc., those COVID quarantine hotel rules do not apply. But if you’re just a regular tax-paying citizen who has the temerity to cross the border, make sure you pony up some big bucks in order to stay at the local Motel Hell upon landing back in Canada.

Then again, as Karl Malden used to say in those old American Express commercials: “Membership has its privileges.” And if you are an elite pro athlete, you are amongst the most privileged on the planet. Which reminds us of another chestnut, this one from George Orwell’s Animal Farm: 'All animals are created equal but some animals (for example, Blue Jays) are more equal than others.'

Another day, another Laurentian elite slap in the face to Albertans. The disrespect never ends.

Yesterday, Trudeau announced he was appointing a new senator. If you live in a different province, that might seem like a routine thing — having some leader in Ottawa choose who will represent you in the Senate with a gravy, high-paying patronage appointment, a thank you for being a loyal Liberal for basically the rest of their lives. But not here in Alberta.

Here, we choose our own senators. We have for decades. When we hold municipal elections, we elect our senators at the same time, based on the accepted convention and expectation that the prime minister will appoint who we chose for ourselves.

People put forward their names and usually run under a party banner. But Trudeau knows Albertans would never choose a Liberal senator, after all the Liberals have done to us — blocked pipelines, phased out our jobs, carbon taxed the industry they didn’t kill, caused trade wars that hurt our farmers and grabbed our guns. So yesterday, Trudeau disregarded the will of the entire Alberta electorate. And appointed his own senator, even as we head to the polls to make our own choice in October.

Trudeau appointed the mayor of Banff, Karen Sorenson. And she was happy to take the $161,000 annual salary for the rest of her working life, plus top ups. She was fine to just steal that job from the person Albertans were going to choose, without an ounce of shame. Who does that? Except a Liberal in Alberta, I guess.

If Sorenson thought Albertans wanted her as a senator, why didn’t she just put her name forward? She didn’t, because she knew she’d lose. Easier to just steal the job I guess. How unethical. Oh, and we are all to believe she is an “independent senator.” Look how independent she is in this photo with another quota appointment, disastrous infrastructure minister Catherine McKenna, most recently famous for losing track of 9,000 infrastructure projects.

And here she is gushing over getting a selfie with the sock model in the PMO.

Naturally, Premier Jason Kenney was outraged, issuing a statement that said, “the prime minister's decision to snub his nose at Alberta's democratic tradition is part of a pattern of flippantly disregarding our province’s demands for fair deal in the Canadian federation and the desire of Albertans for democratic accountability.”

We should not have been surprised by this, though. In 2018, Trudeau also appointed another so-called independent senator, former Edmonton Sun columnist Paula Simons, to the senate, overlooking the last one we Albertans elected, a man named Mike Shaikh. And just like Sorenson, Simons happily stole the job from the man we chose to do it, even after she had railed against the unaccountable unelected in the past. I guess she realized being a print journalist is a dead end sunset industry job. She spent the pandemic bragging about her ability to be a shut-in, and not leave the house. These people are so gross. Not even an apology to Shaikh after she stole his job and our votes.

And for being so-called independent, Simons sure likes to support the Liberal government against the will of Albertans, like with her support of pipeline killer C-69.

And this carries on the long standing Liberal tradition of disrespecting our choices. Jean Chrétien appointed Tommy Banks to the Senate instead of Bert Brown, the Reform candidate chosen by Albertans in 1998.

I don’t want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but if Trudeau were a plant put there by western separatists, would he be doing anything differently?

Toronto souvenir shop now shuttered due to City Hall bureaucrat's alleged vendetta

After almost two decades in business, The Souvenir Market situated inside Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market is no more. Last Saturday was the last day for the little souvenir shop. Owner Jenny Huang survived everything from a recession to COVID-19 lockdowns to a dearth of tourists, thanks to a closed border. But she could not survive a bureaucrat with a chip on his shoulder.

As we reported last month, Jenny alleges she was targeted for eviction because she had the utter temerity to complain about a busker with addiction issues. This busker would perform outside her shop, and Jenny says his erratic behaviour scared away customers from her store.

Alas, she should’ve kept quiet. That’s because Jenny alleges that one of the market’s real estate managers, Daniel Picheca, took a dim view of her complaining. Apparently, a shopkeeper should be grateful to do business under any conditions in the city-owned St. Lawrence Market. And so it is that this individual allegedly carried out an inexplicable vendetta against her. (We reached out to Mr. Picheca, but he declined to comment, directing all our queries to City of Toronto spokesman Brad Ross.)

Last month, Mr. Ross had this to say: “[The St. Lawrence Market] is a City asset that must maximize revenues from its vendors. We have a responsibility to Toronto taxpayers to manage the Market and the leases responsibly. In short, this means business decisions are sometimes made that are not going to please everyone. We are very sympathetic to Ms. Huang and her desire to continue as a merchant at the Market, but the issue here is a combination of an over-representation of the souvenir category, the need for tenants to operate during set market hours as required by the lease agreement, and the City's right and obligation to make decisions that are best for the Market and all of its vendors to ensure the Market's continued success.”

Mr. Ross avoided all mention of Mr. Picheca’s role in Jenny’s eviction. As well, if the people running the St. Lawrence Market feel that there are too many souvenir shops, why pick on Jenny? Her shop was the very first souvenir store to open in the St. Lawrence Market some 18 years ago — why is she the first to go?

Such is the injustice that Toronto criminal defence lawyer Calvin Barry took on Jenny’s case pro bono, but even he could not slay City Hall.

And yet, it makes no sense: how is it that a busker with issues who doesn’t pay a penny in rent trumps an entrepreneur who never defaulted on her lease agreements? It’s gross. It is unjust. Where are you on this file, Mayor John Tory?

Alberta treating COVID like seasonal flu has TV doctors worried

Alberta has made the bold decision to begin treating COVID-19 like other endemic health concerns, much like the seasonal flu. This choice has drawn sharp criticism from critics of Premier Jason Kenney, like his main political rival, Alberta NDP leader Rachel Notley who felt this shift in policy was “just too soon” and from Calgary's mayor, Naheed Nenshi, who described the decision as “completely inexplicable.”

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Ezra shared his thoughts on Alberta's shift in COVID-19 policy.

Speaking about how the era of needless fearmongering over the virus was coming to an end in the province, Ezra said:

Yeah, COVID fear-porn is over, TV doctors hardest hit, I guess. Now, I support these doctors having their freedom of speech and giving their political advice. I would invite them to run for office as part of a lockdown party — maybe that's just another way of saying the NDP.

But if they want to be doctors — be doctors, give advice to their patients. I'm not their patient. They're not doctors to the whole province. If they want to be legislators, run for office. I encourage it, I really do. Let's finally put these lockdown ideas to a public test.0

“Our doors will always be open”: Fairview Baptist Church sees growth after pastor jailed

Pastor Tim Stephens was arrested, sent to jail and released after Alberta Health Services failed to provide him adequate notice that an order banning gatherings applied to him and his congregation. He was then re-arrested mere days later (for an outdoor gathering of all things) only to be jailed again for two weeks. His place of worship, Fairview Baptist Church, was also seized by Alberta Health Services. All for the grave sin of continuing to gather for worship despite COVID restrictions over the past 16 months.

Pastor Tim could have been released from jail earlier, had he been willing to compromise his capacity as shepherd to his church. But he was not, and so he refused to sign the bail conditions presented to him on principle. With COVID restrictions in Alberta being removed, the Justice Rooke order under which Pastor Tim was being held was rescinded and he was released. He is free for the time being, but make no mistake — Alberta Health Services is continuing their zealous legal pursuit of pastors who dared to question their directives, and serious legal battles lay ahead for Pastor Tim.

His church building was also returned, but the congregation now has a new problem to deal with. Pastor Tim’s uncompromising witness to the primacy of Christ is drawing in many new worshippers. His growing flock will no longer fit inside their returned church building. They have been gathering instead, in increasing numbers, at Shepard Community Hall to accommodate all the newcomers.

We spoke with Pastor Tim Stephens about his growing community of faith and the legal battles ahead. We also spoke with Pastor James Coates of GraceLife Church, who was in attendance. As you may recall, Pastor James was also arrested and had his worship space seized by Alberta Health Services, so the two pastors share a unique bond born of their shared fight for religious freedom.

The buildings for GraceLife Church and Fairview Baptist Church were both returned to their rightful owners as restrictions have relaxed, but dozens of Christian communities across the country will not be so lucky. Arson has claimed the worship spaces of many people of faith. In total, 53 churches have experienced either arson or vandalism across Canada, and yet politicians have been largely silent on the matter. 3

Following Health Canada guidelines on mixing vaccines could get Canadians kicked off cruises

A little update on what is happening at the moment with cruises in Canada, including in Quebec. After several calls with different companies, I concluded that none of them have the exact same policies on vaccination. It reminds me strangely of Canada, where no province acts exactly the same as the others.

Quebec initially praised the AstraZeneca vaccine, but later recommended it only for those over 65. In the span of a few weeks, the government then lowered the recommended age to over 30. The government now only recommends AstraZeneca for those over 18 who received it for a first dose, or for those who cannot get the mRNA vaccines, but many people have already received their first dose of AstraZeneca.

The WHO has cautioned against mixing vaccine doses, as there are no long-term data on possible side effects. Health Canada has once again decided to manage this in its own way. They have encouraged people to mix and match the type of injections that would allow them to be more protected against COVID-19 and for a longer period of time.

After two double-vaccinated passengers were turned away from a cruise due to having mixed doses of the vaccines, I looked into the matter. Some companies would only approve mixed courses of vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna. Unfortunately, AstraZeneca is not included. Some companies simply refuse mixed vaccines altogether.

So we have a government that strongly recommended the mixing of vaccines to the population, and now those people are seeing their promised freedoms suppressed simply due to having listened to their government. How long will people tolerate what is happening? Is this what could happen on airlines, too?

Liberal connections overshadow Trudeau’s latest “independent” senate appointments

The Trudeau government’s latest so-called “independent” senate appointments have deep ties to the Liberal Party of Canada, leading to questions about Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s claim that “independent” senators are non-partisan.

According to the government, the Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments is in charge of the candidate-selection process. The board is billed as an “independent and non-partisan” federal body which informs the prime minister on appointments.

However, of the eight latest senate appointments, five donated substantial amounts to the Liberals, two were former Liberal candidates and one was a director of the Trudeau Foundation.

On June 22, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recommended the appointments of Bernadette Clements, Hassan Yussuff and James Quinn. Just over a month later, on July 29, he recommended David Arnot, Michèle Audette, Amina Gerba, Clément Gignac and Karen Sorensen for appointment.

As reported by True North, Trudeau appointed former Liberal candidate Bernadette Clement to the senate despite failing to be elected as a Liberal candidate in 2011 and in 2015.

During both elections, Clement lost to Conservative MP Guy Lauzon. Photos of Clement as a candidate show her being embraced by Trudeau on the campaign trail. Although Clement has a long and storied past with the Liberal Party, the government made no mention of her past candidacies at the time of her appointment.

Former labour leader Hassan Yussuff has also used his position to elevate the Liberals in the past. In 2020, while still the leader of the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC), Yussuff endorsed disgraced former Liberal finance minister Bill Morneau’s candidacy for the role of secretary general of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development.

Yussuff’s decision was immediately met with accusations of partisanship and denunciation from fellow union leaders. It was later revealed that Yussuff acted on his own and did not consult the CLC’s board before endorsing Morneau.

Like Clement, Michèle Audette was also a former Liberal candidate before being hand picked to the Senate by Trudeau.

In 2015, Audette ran as a candidate for the Liberal Party of Canada in the Terrebonne riding of Quebec. Audette lost the race to Bloc Québécois MP Michel Boudrias.

Audette’s elite Liberal ties don’t end there, since Audete was also listed as a member of The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Board of Directors in its 2016-2017 plan.

As reported by True North, so-called “independent” senator Amina Gerba is a repeat donor to the Liberal Party of Canada.

Over the years, Gerba has donated hundreds of dollars to the Liberals, including a $250 donation to the 2015 campaign of Liberal cabinet minister Mélanie Joly. Gerba has also donated $500 to the Liberal Party in 2019 and $454.80 to the Ahuntsic–Cartierville Federal Liberal Association in 2019.

While not having served as a federal Liberal, Clément Gignac has a long history in Quebec’s Liberal scene. As an MNA with the Quebec Liberal Party, Gignac served in office from 2009 to 2012 where he also held the position of minister of economic development, innovation and export trade.

Trudeau-appointed senator says Canada has “no democratic tradition” of free speech

One of Canada’s newest senators is on record supporting an online hate speech law like the one introduced by the Liberal government earlier this year, saying there is no such thing as unfettered free speech in Canada.

“Canada has no democratic tradition of unbridled free speech,” Senator David Arnot said in 2019. “Freedom of speech in Canada has always been freedom governed by limits recognized in law.”

Arnot’s comments were made before a hearing of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights. Far from being a neutral legal assessment of free speech rights in Canada, Arnot was actively calling on the government to introduce measures to restrict online speech.

Arnot, then serving as Saskatchewan’s human rights commissioner, said the repeal of section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act by the previous Conservative government left Canadians with “little ability to protect themselves against online hate speech and discrimination since then.”

Section 13 allowed the Canadian Human Rights Commission to prosecute people for supposedly hateful comments made online. The section had a near-100% conviction rate before it was repealed under heavy scrutiny for limiting free speech.

Justin Trudeau’s Liberals reintroduced section 13 earlier this year in Bill C-36, which prohibits online comments the government deems “likely to foment detestation or vilification of an individual or group of individuals on the basis of a prohibited ground of discrimination.”

In Arnot’s testimony, he called for a revival of section 13, as well as independent prosecution rights for the Canadian Human Rights Commission to pursue cases without complainants.

In his testimony, Arnot said censoring online speech can, somehow, benefit free speech.

“Ironically, hate speech arises in public debates and can be very restrictive and exclusionary,” he said. “Legitimate debate in our democracy that is expressed in a civil manner encourages the exchange of opposing views. Hate speech is antithetical to that objective. It shuts down dialogue by making it difficult or impossible for members of a vulnerable group to respond, thereby stifling discourse. Hate speech that shuts down public debate cannot dodge prohibition on the basis that it promotes debate.”

Arnot did not provide a definition for hate speech or explain how it infringes on other people’s right to speak freely.

“Ideas are not the target; rather the mode of expression of the idea is the target,” he said. “A realistic view of modern society must inform free speech, discourse, and the limits thereon.”

Last week, government officials unveiled their plans to establish a digital safety commission to oversee social media companies and their compliance with the new online hate speech rules. Under the proposed regime, tech companies would have 24 hours to remove content flagged as illegal or face fines in the millions of dollars.

FACT CHECK: Unifor attack ad full of misinformation about Erin O’Toole

In its latest hyper-partisan attack ad against the Conservatives, Unifor made several false and misleading claims about party leader Erin O’Toole.

In “The 2021 O’Toole,” Unifor claimed that the CPC leader is planning on “cutting healthcare” and “cutting public service.” Additionally, Unifor stated that O’Toole’s policies were “engineered by big corporations.”

Unifor provided little evidence to substantiate these claims.

With regard to O’Toole’s position on healthcare, Unifor erroneously claimed that O’Toole supports cuts to healthcare. The sources provided on the Unifor website include one article from 2011 about the Stephen Harper government and another article that makes no mention of O’Toole’s position on healthcare.

According to the Conservative party’s official recovery plan, O’Toole has actually made several pledges to fund healthcare initiatives including critical areas such as pandemic preparedness, strengthening Health Canada and ramping up domestic production of critical supplies and medicine.

On the claim that the Conservative leader hopes to slash public services, Unifor pointed to his vote for the Harper government’s health spending plan in 2011. However, according to the CPC’s recovery program, O’Toole has a comprehensive approach to increasing public services for issues like mental health support.

The plan includes a pledge to “boost funding to the provinces for mental health care” as well as creating a nationwide suicide prevention hotline.

On the ad’s website, Unifor also claims that O’Toole wants to “rig the economy to benefit big corporations and the 1% over everyday Canadians.”

According to Unifor, O’Toole’s opposition to the Canadian Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) was for the benefit of big businesses. As proof, the union cited an opinion piece by Toronto Star columnist Thomas Walkom.

To date, O’Toole has never claimed to oppose pandemic support for Canadians but instead opposed CERB on the grounds that expensive government subsidies would harm small businesses and working-class Canadians.

On several occasions, O’Toole has criticized the “Ottawa knows best” approach of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as harmful for economic recovery.

“The Prime Minister’s idea of leadership was to tell people to apply for the CERB instead of helping workers keep their jobs. He really must live in an ivory tower if he thinks that Canadians like that solution. People want to work, not wait around for government cheques,” said O’Toole in the House of Commons last November.

In reality, CERB has been criticized for its high rate of fraudulent applications and its impact on the job market, which small businesses claim has had a negative impact on their ability to find and keep employees who would much rather receive government subsidies instead.

True North reached out to Unifor for clarification and more evidence regarding these claims but did not receive a response.

Feds grant $1.2 billion in loans to 4,927 unidentified businesses

The federal Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) approved 100% loan guarantees of $1.2 billion to 4,972 unidentified businesses. The loans were disclosed in a recently released BDC report to the House of Commons finance committee.

The BDC is a crown corporation, is wholly owned by the federal government and is a major lender and investor in companies across Canada. Loans were approved through a Highly Affected Sectors Credit Availability Program launched by cabinet in February 2021.

Companies that previously qualified for wage and rent subsidies and showed 50% revenue losses in three of the previous eight months before their application were eligible for 100% loan guarantees, as first reported by Blacklock’s reporter.

Official estimates show that fifty-two banks and credit unions across Canada have enrolled in the program to date. Records show that loans reaching $6.25 million were made available to chain operators of hotels and restaurants. The program waives interest payments for a year, and the 4% loans have a decade-long repayment period.

Spokesperson for the United Here union representing hospitality workers Michelle Travis urged borrowers to be identified. On May 21, she told the finance committee “transparency is critical,” and that “the public should know because the government is absorbing the risk.”

“Frankly there are a lot of programs that are out there at the federal level and we don’t know which companies are tapping them,” said Travis. “Which companies are getting low interest, fully-backed loans from the government? And how much are they getting?”

Finance minister Chrystia Freeland said that the loan guarantees were meant to help hard-hit employers “weather this storm and be ready for a robust recovery.”

Freeland gave the impression that the loans were given due to hardships brought on by the pandemic, although evidence suggests that the BDC might be in no position to issue loans at all.

In 2018, Ian Madsen of the Frontier Centre for Public Policy published a valuation of the BDC. Madsen raised concerns over the illiquidity of BDC’s assets. He concluded that “it is far better that private investors take on the risks that BDC is incurring.”

Madsen told True North that the BDC pandemic loans “seem to be an instance of mission creep and political meddling, wherein the government has steered them into being a lender of last resort.”

Fewer Canadians are satisfied with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s performance and the Conservatives are holding onto second place behind the Liberals, a new Leger web poll indicates.

The latest Leger poll revealed that Canadians remain divided over the performance of the Trudeau government. 46% of Canadians responded that they were either satisfied or very satisfied with the Liberal government, while 49% indicated they were either dissatisfied or very dissatisfied.

Voters were also asked: “If federal elections were held today, for which political party would you be most likely to vote?”

36% of people polled indicated that they would cast their ballots for the Liberals, while 29% of respondents indicated that they would be voting for the Conservatives. This would give the Liberals at a 7 point advantage over the Conservatives.

Although the Liberals have seen a 2% increase in their support since the last time Leger published a poll in mid-July, other pollsters have yet to corroborate such gains.

Additionally, the NDP also saw a small drop in support with only 20% of those polled indicating that they would vote for the party. In comparison, the last Leger poll showed the NDP polling at 22%.

The survey, which was conducted in partnership with the Association for Canadian Studies, surveyed 2,079 Canadians on their federal voting intentions. The poll was conducted using Leger’s online panel. A similarly sized random sample poll would have a margin of error of ±2.15%.

Leger is one of Canada’s largest polling firms and it regularly releases polls on Canadian federal politics as part of its North American Tracker series.

Another poll published last week showed a smaller lead by the Liberals. According to the latest Angus Reid survey, the Liberals only have a 3% lead over the Conservatives.

US senator slams Trudeau government’s silence on Cuba

US Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) chastised the Trudeau government for not speaking out enough about the ongoing human rights abuses and political upheaval in communist Cuba.

While addressing a recent statement by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken which condemned the Cuban government’s actions with regard to democratic protesters, Menendez noted Canada’s “absence” on the international stage.

“I am proud to see Secretary Blinken and the administration make that happen. I applaud those governments that joined Secretary Blinken, but I also note the absence of those, including Canada and Spain and the European Union,” said Menendez in the US Senate on July 28.

“Does Canada place more priority on mining investments than it does on fundamental freedoms? I would hope not. These universal principles should unite all of us.”

Since Cuban authorities began their brutal crackdown on pro-freedom protesters in recent months, critics have accused Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of being wilfully blind to the communist regime’s human rights abuses.

In response to a request to condemn the Cuban government, Trudeau didn’t have an unkind word to say about the communist regime saying that “Canada has always stood in friendship with the Cuban people.”

While the United States placed sanctions on a number of Cuban government officials, Liberal Foreign Affairs Minister refused to say whether the Canadian government would be doing the same.

Trudeau’s tardiness with regard to condemning Cuba and other communist regimes is nothing new considering his past praise for Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.

Upon the death of Castro in 2016, Trudeau gave a glowing eulogy to the brutal dictator saying that he was a “legendary revolutionary and orator” who “made significant improvements” to his country.

Others including NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh have also had glowing words to say about Cuba’s communist regime and Castro in the past.

Conservative Party Leader Erin O’Toole was the first to release an official statement condemning the Cuban government on July 15 following violent crackdowns by communist authorities.

“While the Cuban people have taken to the streets to demand democratic freedoms, and basic necessities like food, water, and medicine, the leaders of Canada’s left-wing political parties have remained silent.”

“The silence of these individuals, some of whom have praised the brutal dictators of the Cuban regime before, speaks volumes. Actions and words matter, especially when it is politically inconvenient to do so.”

Freedom of expression and freedom of speech are rapidly fading in Canada, and it appears that anyone who dares to have a public opinion that doesn’t fall in line with the far-left, “politically correct” narrative can easily fall victim to cancel culture, including medical professionals.

In this report, I interview Amy Hamm. She’s a Vancouver-area mom, who passionately advocates for women’s rights in her spare time. So what’s the problem with that, you ask?

Well, Hamm also happens to make her living as a nurse. And as soon as some trans-rights-over-biological-women’s-rights social justice warriors got word of that, they set out to fulfill their calling in life by trying to have Hamm cancelled. It appears the B.C. College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) has taken the bait, and is trying to discipline Hamm for her activism and exercising her freedom of expression.

You may recognize Hamm from when I interviewed her in front of the massive “I love JK Rowling” billboard that she and fellow Vancouver-area activist Chris Elston collaborated on putting up in Burnaby, B.C.

The sign was intended to show support for Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, for her defence of women and children’s rights. But the billboard didn’t stay up for long.

Shortly after Vancouver City Councillor Sarah Kirby-Yung — who previously contributed to defunding Canada’s longest running rape shelter because they wouldn’t admit males or biological males who identify as women, in a safe space created for women dealing with trauma from sexual assaults — took to Twitter to condemn the sign, and demanded the billboard owners take down the sign that said nothing transphobic on it.

While Elston and Hamm have not collaborated since the billboard, it hasn’t stopped both of them from being attacked for their activism. In March, Elston was viciously assaulted for his activism. Hamm has now been subjected to an intense investigation for hers, and could potentially be disciplined for speaking out.

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Ezra looked at a new ad produced by Unifor, whose membership includes the largest bloc of unionized journalists in the country. The ad features a broken-down truck and criticizes the current Conservative Party leader Erin O'Toole for being Stephen Harper in disguise.

“It seems silly and too clever by half. The whole meme — a truck that’s falling apart — it feels like some ad agency guy came up with an idea to impress his friends. I’m just not sure it’s going to resonate or be effective.

“I think it’s just for Unifor, and the bail-out journalists who work for it, to signal to Trudeau that they’re on his side, and that Trudeau should keep showering them with money. What's Behind The Inflation Hall Of Mirrors?

The global economy may have finally run up against hard limits of "infinite substitution" and "infinite expansion" funded by central-bank free money.

We are in an interesting Hall of Mirrors moment: prices are rising, yet we're assured by the Federal Reserve that this inflation is "transitory," and other voices are insisting the primary forces of the economy (globalization, debt and automation) are all profoundly deflationary, meaning prices of everything will eventually plummet as supply will outstrip demand. At this same moment, others are declaring the start of a new secular inflation that cannot be controlled with Federal Reserve interest-rate manipulation / bond-buying.

What do you see in the kaleidoscope of reflected images? Here's a few things I've seen in the Inflation Hall of Mirrors:

– A package of three rib-eye steaks in Costco for $65

– a Ford dealership with no new Fords on the lot and a scattering of used cars

– A Nissan dealership with no Versas, Ultimas, Leafs, etc.

– used cars with 140,000 miles carrying nosebleed asking prices

– a basic breakfast in a restaurant for over $20

– resorts charging $450/day, with surcharges and taxes on top

– utility fees rising 10% to 20% annually

One can argue all of these are examples of temporary inflation generated by an imbalance of limited supply and high demand. Perhaps. But it may also be the case that the costs of production have increased in ways that are not temporary.

Consider wages. Once wages go up and benefit costs go up, they do not come down. Very few people will accept a pay cut as prices soar.

Consider coffee. Demand for coffee is typically stable. If prices rise 30%, most coffee drinkers will not switch to tea. They will pay the higher price. The three-pound tin at Costco for $10.99 may well go to $15.99, but the $5 extra will not induce most coffee drinkers to switch to some other beverage.

As frost and drought reduce the global coffee supply, what exactly is "transitory" about lost harvests and damaged trees? It takes many years to get a substantial yield off a coffee tree, and the harvesting process is labor-intensive. If labor isn't available, the crop rots.

Scarcity hasn't been a factor in decades. Globalization has institutionalized the idea that there is always "more" of everything available somewhere: more lithium, more cheap labor, more oil, more coffee, more wild fisheries, more fresh-water aquifers to tap, and so on. The possibility that "more" has morphed to "less" simply doesn't compute in an economy based on the secular divinity of infinite substitution: there is always a cheaper substitute somewhere in the world that can be tapped and funneled into the global supply chain.

So what happens when there are no cheaper sources, and no substitutes? In the secular religion of infinite substitution, this is "impossible," hence non-transitory inflation is "impossible." But perhaps this secular faith is no longer aligned with the real world.

Intensive Care Units (ICU) offer an insightful analogy. ICUs are a concentration of specially trained talent which can only be acquired through long years of experience. In the In the secular religion of infinite substitution, it's an article of faith that there is a pool of specialists that can be tapped if we just print enough money to buy them.

But printing money can't create a pool of specialized talent. This process is experiential and cannot be purchased off the shelf or ramped up with Fed stimulus. There is no pool of ICU experience in Lower Slobovia waiting to be tapped with Fed free money.

Fed free money might fund the construction of a new ICU ward and fill it with expensive equipmentitself a lengthy, multi-year processbut if there's no staff with the requisite experience, the new ward will fail to fill the scarcity as intended.

It's also possible that the existing pool of specialized talent might actually shrink as the imbalance of supply and demand burns out overworked staff.

In other words, the global economy may have finally run up against hard limits of infinite substitution and infinite expansion funded by central-bank free money. In the temples of this secular faith, accelerating, permanent inflation is "impossible."

All sorts of things that are viewed as "impossible" happen with remarkable regularity. What's behind the Inflation Hall of Mirrors may surprise true believers in "transitory inflation" and global deflationary forces.

Clarkson: "Communist" Government Advisors Want To Lock Us Down Forever

British broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson has blasted “communist” government advisors who want to keep the population under lockdown forever.

Clarkson made the comments during an interview with the Radio Times.

“I think the politicians should sometimes tell those communists at Sage to get back in their box,” he said.

“Let’s just all go through life with our fingers crossed and a smile on our face. I can see Boris doesn’t want to open it up and shut us back down again. But if it’s going to be four years … and who knows, it could be 40 years.”

The former Top Gear presenter then made clear that the cost of freedom is the inevitable risk of death.

“Well, if it’s going to be for ever, let’s open it up and if you die, you die,” he said.

While some COVID restrictions in England were lifted on July 19, foreign travel is still perilous and people are still being forced to self-isolate as well as having to wear masks in some settings.

Clarkson was immediately accused of being “boorish and insensitive” by the Guardian over the comments, despite the fact that he was infected with COVID and recovered from it last Christmas.

The broadcaster’s reference to “communist” government advisors is undoubtedly a reference to SAGE advisor Susan Michie, the proud Communist Party member who is so hardcore she earned the nickname “Stalin’s nanny.”

During a television appearance on Channel 4, Michie was asked how long mask mandates and social distancing should go on for, to which she responded, “forever.”

After being subsequently challenged on the subject of if her lifetime membership of the Communist Party informed her beliefs, Michie completely failed to answer the question.

An irate Twitter mob then leapt to her defense, claiming that the male host merely asking the question of Michie was a misogynistic attack.

As we previously highlighted, the question of how long coronavirus restrictions will remain in place was put to Iceland’s chief epidemiologist, who responded in the affirmative that the rules could be in effect for up to fifteen years.

OCLA researcher Dr. Denis Rancourt and several fellow Canadian academics penned an open letter to support those who have decided not to accept the COVID-19 vaccine.

The group emphasizes the voluntary nature of this medical treatment as well as the need for informed consent and individual risk-benefit assessment. They reject the pressure exerted by public health officials, the news and social media, and fellow citizens.

Control over our bodily integrity may well be the ultimate frontier of the fight to protect civil liberties.

You are not alone! As of 28 July 2021, 29% of Canadians have not received a COVID-19 vaccine, and an additional 14% have received one shot. In the US and in the European Union, less than half the population is fully vaccinated, and even in Israel, the "world's lab" according to Pfizer, one third of people remain completely unvaccinated. Politicians and the media have taken a uniform view, scapegoating the unvaccinated for the troubles that have ensued after eighteen months of fearmongering and lockdowns. You are being targeted by mainstream media, government social engineering campaigns, unjust rules and policies, collaborating employers, and the social-media mob. You are being told that you are now the problem and that the world cannot get back to normal unless you get vaccinated. All the peer-reviewed studies of short-term safety and short-term efficacy have been funded, organized, coordinated, and supported by these for-profit corporations; and none of the study data have been made public or available to researchers who don't work for these companies.

You are right to question the preliminary vaccine trial results. The claimed high values of relative efficacy rely on small numbers of tenuously determined "infections." The studies were also not blind, where people giving the injections admittedly knew or could deduce whether they were injecting the experimental vaccine or the placebo. Alberta has downgraded Covid 19 to the seasonal flu, (as we knew it always was), and have said there will be no more covid measures. This is likely due to the public and lawyer pressure put on to reveal the truth.

No more quarantine hotels, testing, mandatory vaccinations, or any other measures. I think at minimum partly due to the work of Reimer Fullmich in conjunction with lawyers all over the world.
