Amazon Wins FCC Approval For Radar Device To Monitor Sleep

Amazon com Inc. has been granted a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) waiver to use radar to monitor people's sleep.

The FCC approval document, published last Friday, described a device to include a "radar sensor" for "contactless sleep tracing."

The federal agency that regulates communications across the country wrote that Google made a similar request for its Pixel smartphone in 2018. "As with Google, Amazon describes how it plans to use its Radar Sensors to enable touchless control of device features and functions."

The capability of the new device "can aid persons with disabilities, as well as to provide sleep-related health and wellness applications," the FCC continued.

"The use of Radar Sensors in sleep tracking could improve awareness and management of sleep hygiene, which in turn could produce significant health benefits for many Americans," Amazon said in its filing. "Radar Sensors will allow consumers to recognize potential sleep issues."

The company provided very few details about what products the new radar sensor would be embedded into but provided a hint that the device would be "non-mobile." The thought here is that it could be equipped with Echo devices.

There was no timeline on when the radar-equipped devices would be unveiled, nevertheless, shipped to customers.

Amazon has been making a strong push into the health space between Halo wristbands and Amazon Pharmacy. Now the mega-corporation wants to monitor your sleep and extract whatever valuable data it can to subliminally sell you products to improve your well-being.

U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy on Thursday issued an advisory warning the American public about the “urgent threat” of health misinformation and disinformation that have “threatened the U.S. response to COVID-19 and continue to prevent Americans from getting vaccinated, prolonging the pandemic and putting lives at risk.”

The 22-page advisory calls on Big Tech and social media companies to take more responsibility to stop the online spread of health misinformation.

The advisory blamed “misinformation” for causing people to decline COVID vaccines, reject public health measures such as masking and physical distancing and using unproven treatments.

Murthy, who operates under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), said in a press release, “As Surgeon General, my job is to help people stay safe and healthy, and without limiting the spread of health misinformation, American lives are at risk.”

According to the HHS press release, whether “health misinformation” is false, inaccurate or misleading will be determined by the “best available evidence.”

The advisory further defined the “best available evidence” standard as the preferred benchmark because “claims can be highly misleading and harmful even if the science on an issue isn’t yet settled.”

“We can meaningfully improve the health information environment even without a consensus definition of misinformation,” Murthy said.

Tell Schools/Universities No Vaccine Mandates for Children/Young Adults!

The full advisory lays out recommendations for families, health professionals, researchers, educators, media, funders, government and technology platforms, and urges individuals to take responsibility to limit the spread of misinformation.

The advisory calls for media and social media companies to increase staff to moderate posts, amplify preferred voices, improve algorithms to address misinformation, moderate live streams and impose “clear consequences for accounts that repeatedly violate platform policies.”

Schools and educational institutions are encouraged to crack down on misinformation by educating people on “tactics used by those who deny scientific consensus on health issues” and “introduce conspiracies.”

In an interview with NPR, Murthy said Americans must do their part to fight misinformation. “COVID has really brought into sharp focus the full extent of damage that health misinformation is doing,” Murthy said ahead of the advisory’s release.

Surgeon general’s advisories are reserved for significant public health challenges that demand immediate attention.

In a White House press briefing Thursday, press secretary Jen Psaki singled out Facebook as needing to do more to combat COVID vaccine misinformation on its platform.

Dr. Francis Christian is a clinical professor of general surgery at the University of Saskatchewan and a practicing surgeon in Saskatoon, having been a surgeon for more than 20 years. He was also made director of the surgical humanities program and director of quality and patient safety in 2018, and co-founded the surgical humanities program. He is also the editor of the Journal of The Surgical Humanities.

However, on June 23, Dr. Christian was summoned to a meeting with Dr. Preston Smith, dean of medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine, along with Dr. Susan Shaw, the Chief Medical Officer of the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and Dr. Brian Ulmer, head of the department of surgery at the Saskatchewan College of Medicine.

Christian was immediately suspended from teaching and fired from the university as of September 2021. A complaint was also made against him, and he is currently under investigation by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.

The reason is that Dr. Christian spoke out against the administration of COVID-19 injections to children, addressing the aspect of “informed consent” being necessary.

“In medicine, there is a sacrosanct principle before any kind of drug or treatment or intervention is administered to the public – it is the principle of informed consent,” he said.

Christian’s statement was sent to 200 of his medical colleagues, and in his text he declares his support for vaccinations, but warned that the current experimental injections were being rolled out without knowledge of any long-term effects.

Among his points, he stated:

• The m-RNA vaccine is a new, experimental vaccine never used by humans before.

• The m-RNA vaccines have not been fully authorized by Health Canada or the US CDC, and are in fact under “interim authorization” in Canada and “emergency use authorization” in the United States. He noted that “full vaccine approval takes several years and multiple safety considerations – this has not happened.”

• That in order to qualify for “emergency use authorization” there must be an emergency. While he said there is a strong case for vaccinating the elderly, the vulnerable and health care workers, he said, “Covid does not pose a threat to our kids. The risk of them dying of Covid is less than 0.003% – this is even less than the risk of them dying of the flu. There is no emergency in children.”

• Children do not readily transmit the Covid virus to adults.

• M-RNA vaccines have been “associated with several thousand deaths” in the Vaccine Adverse Reporting System in the United States. “These appear to be unusual, compared to the total number of vaccines administered.” He called it a “strong signal that should not be ignored.”

• He noted that vaccines have already caused “serious medical problems for kids” worldwide, including “a real and significantly increased risk” of myocarditis, inflammation of the heart. Dr. Christian notes the German national vaccine agency and the UK vaccine agency are not recommending the vaccine for healthy children and teenagers.

Dr. Christian was accused by the Saskatchewan Health Authority/College of Medicine of engaging in “activities designed to discourage and prevent children and adolescents from receiving Covid-19 vaccination contrary to the recommendations and pandemic-response efforts of Saskatchewan and Canadian public health authorities.”
