I think reports said US people were translators. So if the Colombians were Spanish speaking mercenaries, a US led effort fits.
Mercenaries might be patsies as well. They were told it was an arrest, but were only used as a force to get inside so embeds could kill Moise. Something to consider.
I'm tending towards mercenaries were used rather than MS13 types (Seth Rich) because advanced training was needed to get past palace guards.. Mercenaries were still expendable, though. Leads to same outfit who ordered SR hit.
