Imagine the horror of thinking you are, indeed, Tesla level special only to panic as the horror builds when absolutely nothing comes from your depths.
Imagine then having to become one of the lowest life forms on the planet : The Politician, and betray every speck of decency in frantic pursuit of anything to fill that emptiness.
The more you crow about how great you are and how you deserve uour ill gotten riches and "respect" motivated by your narcissism the more that empty depth despises itself in secret.
