OTD in 1926, Fred Gwynne was born. Gwynne served as a radioman 3rd class on a submarine chaser in the Pacific during WWII before attending Harvard and pursing an acting career. His most notably roles were as Herman Munster on "The Munsters" and the judge in "My Cousin Vinny".
