PATRICK BERGY - ALEX JONES LAW SUITE TIES IN PIECZENIK & KISSINGER

https://www.brighteon.com/588d5096-5ef6-4dca-8d35-ffd252204d92

The Case

Patrick Bergy’s case is based on the information he has provided in the demand letter / affidavit on the right.

The information is all forensically verifiable and based off a DoD whistle-blower and fact-witness.

We are filing a civil defamation lawsuit against Alex Jones/Inforwars, but it will quickly call for discovery on USA Today, Politifact, Facebook, Twitter, Atlantic Council, Ali Alexander (aka Ali Akbar) and Kaitlyn Bennett, Roger Stone…. More may be added.

Millie, Gavin and Tore are not listed in this lawsuit. Mr. Bergy wanted to keep this strictly based on proving the claims Mr. Bergy made in Shadow-Gate were true, and that in discrediting and attacking Shadow-Gate, Mr. Bergy was defamed. It is of Mr. Bergy’s opinion that Tore, Millie and Gavin all have very serious and legitimate claims, and how their personal grievences are handled is up to them.

Mr. Bergy intends to show that the above conspired to lie and defame Patrick Bergy, Tore, Millie Weaver and Gavin Wince immediately following the release of Shadow-Gate and the arrest of journalist Millie Weaver as she was uploading it. Mr. Bergy believes this was done to hide other crimes, potentially to include treason.

This was all done as part of a organized, tactical conspiracy that the release of Shadow-Gate threatened to expose, which may have prevented the violence in DC on January 6th had this tactical, coordinated attack not have occurred. This can be assumed based on the fact key assets that attacked Shadow-Gate with fabricated articles, personas and other sources, are now being investigated by the Department of Justice for the incitement of January 6th, and are being accused of the very same things Shadow-Gate was exposing. Evidence as such is presented in this affidavit as well as additional sources and witness testimony.

Links to Shadow-Gate, Shadow-Gate 2 and PSYOP The Steal are included below. An American journalist was arrested here, and more are being arrested every day.

“Do Not Count Yourself Out” – AOC Urges Illegals to Apply for Welfare in New York

The conscience of the American left, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, told illegals how to apply for welfare in a recent video.

AOC told illegal aliens, “Do not count yourself out,” as she urged them to sign up for their government benefits.

AOC has been pushing welfare for illegal aliens for years now.

It is also widely known that most U.S. families headed by illegal immigrants use taxpayer-funded welfare programs on behalf of their American-born anchor babies.

Democrats are lawless and crazy.

The video was taken on July 8 at the Ted Weiss Federal Building.

‘An Inconvenient Minority’ Exposes Harvard's Real Systemic Racism and the Hidden Consequences of ‘Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion’

In economics and social science, Bastiat’s Parable of the Broken Window illustrates the law of unintended consequences. It describes a careless son who breaks his father’s window. The father then has to spend his own money repairing the window. A government official walks by, and reasons that the broken window was good, because the glazier profits from selling the replacement, and money circulates through the economy. The government official is wrong, though, because the unseen cost of repairing the window is that the father does not get to spend that money elsewhere in a way that benefits him and the rest of the economy more.

Today the implementation of “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” or “affirmative action,” or “equity,” is sweeping across the country across government, the military, education, and corporate America, and its stated purpose is to rectify the original Broken Windows of black opportunity in America. There’s far more to the story than that, of course. Among its many side effects is that it excludes well-qualified Asian Americans from opportunities. Harvard University, for example, admits Asian Americans to its student body at a lower rate than black Americans who score an average 400 points lower on the SAT than them. Harvard discriminates against Asians systematically according to author Kenny Xu, scoring them lower on “personality” interviews despite the fact that they score the same in this area as everyone else. Harvard’s decision to scrap standardized testing will also end up hurting Asian Americans, Xu says.

Xu has covered the Harvard discrimination case from start to finish and fights against Ivy League racism to this day. In his new book, An Inconvenient Minority: The Attack on Asian American Excellence and the Fight for Meritocracy, he traces the left’s long history and present-day reality of discriminating against Asian Americans, in the name of diversity – only to turn a blind eye when someone raises the issue. One recent example is a party-line vote by 48 Democratic senators to block the passage of a bill that would rescind federal funding from any university that discriminates against Asian Americans. Those Democrats objectively voted for discrimination. Why?

Xu is strong right out of the gate in An Inconvenient Minority, uncompromising in his stance that “diversity and inclusion” programs and practices hurt Asian Americans and, more largely, America’s culture of meritocracy and excellence. He cites China as an example of a country that is gaining while America consumes itself with admitting, hiring, and promoting based on race.

But Xu doesn’t spare his own Asian American community from criticism. He writes: “After more than 150 years on the American shores, they have not gained anywhere close to the kind of sociocultural capital that can fight stereotypes and political will; the kind of capital that stands up to Harvard University and says a resounding ‘f- you’ to their race-based admissions policies and dangerous exploitation of damaging stereotypes against Asian people.” He implores Asian Americans to take a more aggressive stance in the fight for their own equal rights against elite discrimination. Xu suggests the elites discriminate against Asians because they know they can get away with it. Those Democrat senators suggest that he’s onto something.

“It’s Horrifying” – Fauci Triggered by CPAC Crowd Cheering on Americans Who Don’t Want Experimental Covid Vaccine

Dr. Fauci on Sunday appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” and told host Jake Tapper he just doesn’t get why conservatives at CPAC cheered Americans who don’t want the Covid vaccine.

CPAC attendees on Saturday applauded and cheered a comment on low vaccination rates.

Fauci thinks it’s horrifying that Americans are capable of critical thinking and doing research.

There are now 6,985 reported deaths from the COVID-19 vaccinations across the United States this year.

There have been 411,931 adverse reactions reported to the vaccine.

“It’s horrifying…I just don’t get that. I mean, and I don’t think that anybody who is thinking clearly can get that,” Fauci told Tapper.

“We’ve got to put aside this ideological difference or differences thinking that somebody is forcing you to do something. The public health officials, like myself and my colleagues, are asking you to do something that will ultimately save your life and that of your family, and that of the community,” Fauci whined. “I don’t know. I really don’t have a good explanation, Jake, about why this is happening. I mean, it’s ideological rigidity, I think. There’s no reason not to get vaccinated.”

China Mega Investment Deal With Iran Blows U.S. Out of the Picture

A new world in the East is amalgamating as a direct result of American’s delusional views about where it thinks it is in the world, Martin Jay writes.

China has just announced that it will invest 400 bn dollars in Iran over a period of 25 years in exchange for a great deal on Iran’s oil – in the latest move of absolute defiance against the U.S. and its secondary sanctions. Where’s this all heading?

400 bn dollars is a considerable amount of money to invest in Iran, which, since Donald Trump pulled the U.S. out of the JCPOA (otherwise called the ‘Iran Deal’) we can certainly say is a poor country. In exchange, China gets rock bottom prices on oil, while both sides enjoy the double-whammy of sending a vociferous message to Washington: your days are up as a super power who can bully countries with sanctions.

The deal was really the last thing that Joe Biden needed in barely his six month in office, where he has been weak on Russia and China and arguably pathetic in the Middle East when it comes to delivering on the ‘America is back’ rhetoric. ‘America is back’ to what, we might all wonder, given that Iran is commissioning drone strikes against U.S. forces, Afghanistan is rapidly heading towards a Taliban takeover and the Iran talks in Vienna have more or less ended with a draft of what the Guardian euphemistically calls a ‘roadmap’.

China’s investment deal with Iran sends a stark, lucid message to Joe Biden that it intends to take advantage of America’s lame ‘soft diplomacy’ geopolitics and move in with real policies, which in practical terms means investment. With GCC countries squabbling amongst themselves about oil productivity, during a six-year high on the price per barrel and an Iran deal more unlikely than ever taking shape, the region more confused than ever about how much of a two-way street America’s hegemony is in the region, the Middle East is tilting ever so slightly towards the East. It’s not just that Assad became the new friend with GCC leaders because he masterly used the Russians as a guarantor of staying in power which is driving Gulf Arab elites to look towards China as a potential new partner, but Arabs put so much more trust in China as a longer-term partner which they can rely on. Stability.

One of the reasons why a new re-worked Iran Deal is so unlikely to happen is for the same reason. How long could Washington even guarantee a sanctions-free deal? One term of Joe Biden?

Middle East leaders, as well as those in the MEMA region like Egypt are looking for a solution to an impending Arab Spring 2.0 and they don’t see any point in investing in Biden for help there, which is why they are getting closer to Assad and hedging their bets that when the brown stuff hits the fan, Russia (and perhaps even China) could be behind them to keep them in power.

Two Attacks Targeted US Bases In Northeastern Syria In Last 12 Hours (Video)

Two attacks have reportedly targeted U.S. bases in northeastern Syria, where American troops are occupying all gas and oil fields.

Early on July 11, several explosions were heard at a US base in the CONICO gas factory in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The U.S.-led coalition and its main proxy in northeastern Syria, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), ignored the incident. However, a U.S. defense official confirmed a few hours later that there was an “indirect fire attack” on the U.S. base.

The unnamed official said that the attack hadn’t result in fatalities, injures or structural damage, according to Reuters correspondent Idrees Ali.

Less than 12 hours later, explosions were heard at the U.S. main base in the al-Omar oil fields in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Several sources, including the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said that a rocket had hit the base. The alleged attack took place as the U.S.-led coalition and the SDF were holding a joint training at the base.

Heavy white smoke was seen raising from inside the base. The U.S.-led coalition and the SDF are yet to comment on the incident.

U.S. bases in northeastern Syria have come under attack on several occasions over the last few weeks. On June 28, a barrage of 32 rockets hit the U.S. main base in the al-Omar oil fields. On July 4, explosions were reported near the CONICO gas plant. On July 7, a drone attack targeted one of the U.S. bases in the fields.

Iranian-backed forces deployed in the Syrian government-held part of Deir Ezzor were reportedly behind all recent attacks on U.S. bases in al-Omar and CONICO.

Abortion coverage mandate doesn't harm churches, Washington state tells baffled appeals court

As if state officials were arguing "our fingerprints aren't on the murder weapon," 9th Circuit judge says.

Washington state officials claim its no-exception abortion coverage mandate in health plans does not necessarily require health plans to include abortion coverage.

This baffled a federal appeals judge at oral argument Friday, characterizing officials as saying "our fingerprints aren't on the murder weapon."

Seattle-area Cedar Park Assembly of God is challenging SB 6219, which requires health plans that cover maternity care to also provide "substantially equivalent coverage to permit the abortion of a pregnancy." It took effect with health plans issued or renewed after Jan. 1, 2019.

The law goes further than the federal Affordable Care Act's contraceptive mandate, offering no religious or moral exemptions even for churches that believe abortion is murder. The Supreme Court upheld religious and moral exemptions for religious nonprofits under the ACA last year.

Cedar Park is required to cover maternity services by federal law or face "crippling monetary penalties," so SB 6219 forces it to violate either state law or its religious beliefs, the church said when it filed suit two years ago.

The state is trying to get the lawsuit thrown out for lack of standing by the church, arguing that SB 6219 had no impact on Cedar Park's ability to purchase a health plan in line with its pro-life beliefs.

Kaiser Permanente told the church it couldn't negotiate a new plan because it was too soon before its current plan expired, Assistant Attorney General Paul Crisalli told the three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Cedar Park, he argued, cannot demonstrate "injury in fact."

The law is "maybe just window dressing?" Judge Richard Clifton responded incredulously, noting Kaiser Permanente explicitly cited SB 6219 in refusing to provide an abortion-free plan. The state wants to "wash its hands of the impact that the statute was intended to and expected to have."

Senate Dems Press Biden Admin To Shrink Nuclear Weapons Arsenal

Lawmakers propose funding cuts, keeping Vietnam-era missile program.

Senate Democrats are pressuring the Biden administration to cut construction of a critical missile program even as China and Russia drastically increase their firepower, according to a letter obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

Sens. Jeff Merkley (D., Ore.) and Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.), the authors of the letter, are urging national security adviser Jake Sullivan to alter the administration's stance on nuclear weapons in the 2022 defense budget. The letter comes as Democrats strive to shutter the advanced nuclear program in favor of technology that was first tested by the Lyndon B. Johnson administration. The senators' campaign puts them at odds with the Biden administration's senior Pentagon officials, who have expressed support for nuclear modernization. The lawmakers' direct appeal to the National Security Council presents a litmus test for where the White House stands on the vital issue.

"We write to express concern regarding [the] President's FY22 budget requests for nuclear weapon modernization," Merkley and Warren wrote. "The high funding levels suggest that the Biden administration embraces its predecessor's reckless mission to build new nuclear weapons. … We believe that the Trump-era nuclear buildup must be halted."

Even as the senators take aim at efforts to overhaul the aging Minuteman III program, which is the United States' only ground-based nuclear missile, President Joe Biden's Pentagon brass have voiced support for nuclear modernization efforts. Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks, who oversees the nuclear portfolio, told lawmakers in February that modernization plans must be driven by strategy, not ideology or budgets, and that ground-based nuclear missiles are part of the "bedrock" of America's missile defense. Internal budget memos from the Biden Pentagon show nuclear modernization programs are a "number one priority" for the Department of Defense.

Military officials say cuts to the modernization program would prove financially disastrous and risky to U.S. national security. Air Force Global Strike Command chief Timothy Ray said in May an extension of the older Minuteman program would cost taxpayers $38 billion more than the planned upgrade. An aging nuclear arsenal also endangers U.S. national defense as China covertly builds more than 100 missile silos in its desert and Russia develops exotic nuclear missiles.

Sen. Jon Tester (D., Mont.), the chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense, told the Free Beacon he will push on with efforts to modernize the U.S. nuclear arsenal, even as his Democratic colleagues do otherwise.

NIAID, Moderna Had COVID Vaccine Candidate in December 2019

Moderna, together with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), sent mRNA coronavirus vaccine candidates to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on December 12, 2019 — raising significant red flags

The providers agreed to transfer “mRNA coronavirus vaccine candidates developed and jointly-owned by NIAID and Moderna” to the university’s investigator and was signed by Ralph Baric

Baric pioneered techniques for genetically manipulating coronaviruses, which became a major focus for research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV)

Baric worked closely with WIV’s Shi Zhengli, Ph.D., on research using genetic engineering to create a “new bat SARS-like virus … that can jump directly from its bat hosts to humans”

Serious questions need to be answered, including: Were Moderna, NIAID and Baric aware that COVID-19 was circulating in mid-December 2019, or did they have knowledge far before that such a vaccine would soon be in demand?

Sydney outlaws 'browsing' and non-essential purchases

Buying a new pair of shoes becomes a violation of public health orders.

“They need a reasonable excuse to be out there [buying running shoes], and people need to ask themselves the question, ‘do I need to do it?’ and quite often, the answer can be no.” Assistant Commissioner Tony Cooke added, “You don’t need that pair of shoes today.”

The widely criticised comment from Cooke comes amid a range of unprecedented Covid restrictions being placed upon the citizens of Sydney and the surrounding region during the extension of the latest lockdown.

From July 9, the updated list of rules prohibit people from ‘browsing in shops’ as well as imposing strict limits on what the state deems to be ‘essential purchases’. Only one person from each household per day can shop and all exercise must be within 10km of home.

There have been reports of NSW Police waiting outside a Kmart store in the south-west of Sydney to check that customers are only buying essential items.

According to the Daily Mail, police were in attendance on Friday afternoon talking to Kmart customers and inspecting their bags.

Police have denied the accusation, with a spokesperson insisting that, “Checking shopping bags is not part of the COVID police operation.”

Opinion within the community is split, with some embracing the lockdown by using the hot-line to report on members of the public for public health order breaches, while others appear furious that the government is now deciding what is and is not ‘essential’.

“I don’t want anyone to feel like that. But if you are not doing the right thing, please know that we will have to have the law come down on you, because the simple fact is, people doing the wrong thing means that all of us suffer,” said NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian.

NSW Police launched a high-visibility operation on Friday for Sydney’s south-west region to ‘ensure compliance with all Covid-19 public health orders’.

“Our police will be targeting the people who think the rules don’t apply to them. Those people are putting everyone’s lives at risk, including their own families, and working to prolong the lockdown,” said Deputy Commissioner Lanyon.

The operation includes 100 extra police officers and draws on the resources of the Dog and Mounted Unit, Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, PolAir, Police Transport Command, and officers from the South West Metropolitan Region.

Sydney’s south-west is home to a diverse community, including those who do not speak English. In order to ensure that the current public health orders are understood by the community, police have translated them into 56 languages along with the deployment of multicultural liaison officers.

Democracy in Colour – a racial justice organisation – described the heightened police presence in area as ‘thinly veiled racism’.

This is how police are ABUSING the system to FORCE compliance in NSW

Covid-cops are using the bail system to escalate summary offences to jailable crimes.

Anthony and Natalie Reale were arrested, charged and fined for not wearing facemasks in their Shellharbour coffee shop two weeks ago.

Village Fix made headlines when NSW implemented mandatory facemasks for posting on Instagram:

"No mask? We won't ask!"

While it's illegal for a business to demand to check an exemption, police targeted the small business.

The pair were issued a $1,000 fine each for allegedly breaching the Chief Health Officers directions.

Police also criminally charged the pair for not wearing a facemask, and Natalie received an additional charge for maskless staff.

Both Anthony and Natalie have valid medical exemptions.

However, their strict bail conditions mean that police may jail them every time they leave their home without a mask.

Former Canadian Embassy Worker Arrested In Haiti Assassination Worked For Sean Penn Relief Org

The assassination of Hatian president Jovenel Moïse has taken yet another strange twist, after ABC News reports that a Florida man arrested in connection with the hit formerly worked in Canada's Embassy in Haiti, and also worked for a Hatian Relief Organization founded by suspected spooky actor Sean Penn following a 7.0 earthquake in 2010 that killed over 300,000 people.

James Solages, a 35-year-old Haitian-born resident of Miami, is one of 28 suspects accused by the Haitian government of participating in the deadly July 7 ambush attack that killed Moïse.

Solages, along with 55-year-old Joseph Vincent (also of Miami), claim they thought they were acting as interpreters 'for an authorized operation to arrest the Haitian president' by a group of Columbians, who told them Moïse was going to be arrested, not killed, according to the Washington Post.

According to NBC News, Solages worked as a bodyguard at Canada's Embassy in Port-au-Prince, however relatives say he has no formal military training. Canada, of course, is adding as much distance as possible (via the Florida Sun-Sentinel):

Solages is also the president of a nonprofit organization with an office in North Lauderdale. FWA SA A JACMEL AVAN, which is Creole for “This Time Jacmel First,” has a mission of “rebuilding Haiti,” according to its website. The website as well as its Facebook page — both which were working Thursday — were no longer accessible Friday.

The website on Thursday said Solages claimed to be the chief commander of bodyguards for the Canadian Embassy in Haiti. However multiple news outlets are reporting that Canada’s foreign relation department said one of the men detained in the assassination (it did not name Solages) had been employed only briefly as a reserve bodyguard at its embassy by a private contractor.

Meanwhile, Solages worked as a driver and in a security capacity for Sean Penn's J/P Haitian Relief Organization according to two sources.

Penn laid down what he considers lifelong roots in Haiti following the earthquake, at one point even living in a tent city among some 40,000 Haitians left homeless by the natural disaster.

For his multi-year efforts on behalf of the Haitian people, former President Michel Martelly — the mentor of slain President Jovenel Moise — named Penn ambassador at large, the first non-Haitian to receive that designation. -ABC News

Doctor who pioneered hydroxychloroquine/zinc treatment for COVID-19 speaks to LifeSite

'It’s conspiracy – but not theory – and it’s a conspiracy to commit genocide by a group of sociopaths who think that they’re God…This is a war against God.'

Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, the New York doctor who pioneered the use of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and zinc as treatment for COVID-19, gave a lengthy interview to LifeSiteNews explaining why this protocol has been so successful. Speaking with LifeSite’s Claire Chretien, Zelenko discussed coronavirus vaccines and the “group of sociopaths” that wants to administer these injections to the entire world, as well as the rampant censorship of information about treating the virus.

Zelenko has been a family physician for two decades in upstate New York. COVID-19 swept through that area at the advent of the coronavirus outbreak in March 2020. Of the more severe cases of the Wuhan coronavirus at that time, most patients were put on respirators, but “80 to 90 percent of people on a respirator were dying, so that wasn’t a very good treatment model,” Zelenko noted.

From 3,000 COVID-positive patients under his care, Zelenko identified 1,000 as “high risk” with whom his HCQ- and zinc-based medical intervention “reduced the death rate from 7.5 percent, to less than half a percent.”

“That is an 84 percent reduction in hospitalization and death.”

“Out of the 600,000 dead Americans that we have, we could have prevented 510,000 from going to the hospital and dying.”

A Country That Has Lost Its Way: U.S. Government and Corporations Combine to Strip Citizens of Their Rights

The American people have increasingly become aware that government surveillance and corporate censorship have combined to keep people ignorant and controlled. What is taking place has generated some dark humor. A friend of mine, also a former CIA officer, wrote to me recently and said tongue-in-cheek that he retains a lot of respect for the Agency because it is the only major government national security entity that does not read our mail and emails. Those jobs are the responsibility of the NSA and FBI. I responded that I would imagine that CIA does in fact read quite a lot of mail where it operates overseas but it is probably done the old-fashioned way by recruiting an underpaid mail clerk as an agent.

The whole issue of the government spying illegally on its own citizens has again made the news with the claims by conservative commentator Tucker Carlson that NSA has been spying on him, presumably because he has connections that the government regards either as subversive or, in the new reckoning, as “extremists” who are potential “domestic terrorists.” Given the reasonable assumption that anyone who voted for Donald Trump might well fall under those categories, that means that something like half the U.S. population could be under suspicion.

Mass electronic surveillance of literally trillions of phone calls and messages worldwide without a warrant in violation of the Fourth Amendment restrictions on searches without probable cause or a proper warrant issued by a judge has been the regular NSA authorized procedure at least since 9/11 and there is no reason to assume that it is no longer the practice. It basically is initiated by the agency involved (normally NSA or FBI) going to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) Court or to some other appropriate judge to get a warrant on an individual where there is some probable cause. Probable cause can consist of “someone searching the web for suspicious stuff.” The Court then gives its approval, which it does in the case of FISA 99% of the time. When that individual is then surveilled, the names of his or her contacts are also added to the investigation. And it goes on from there, expanding and growing until it includes thousands of phone numbers and email addresses, individuals who are overwhelmingly innocent of any wrongdoing.

Under Philippine law, 12-year-olds can consent to sex. Activists are trying to change that

Antonette Acupinpin was 7 when the sexual abuse started.

She had already endured years of beating and physical violence from her mother and stepfather, she said — but then he took it a step further.

He would put a long knife near her face during the abuse, and threaten to kill her mother and brother if she reported him, she said. Terrified and ashamed, she didn’t tell anyone for a year and a half — until a school teacher saw her with a black eye and notified the police.

“I felt hopeless,” said Acupinpin, now 23. “It felt like I had nowhere to go because it’s my family who was hurting me. I didn’t know anyone who could really help me.”

She’s not alone. Child sexual abuse is rampant in the Philippines, which activists say is partly driven by the country’s law regarding the age at which girls can legally consent to sex.

At just 12 years old, it’s the youngest age of consent in Asia — and one of the youngest in the world. Opponents of the law say children that age are incapable of giving consent, and less likely to know how to call for help.

The law protects predators, critics say, because they can claim victims consented — and children as young as 12 can often be coerced or threatened into silence.

Victims’ advocates also argue the low age of consent contributes to what international rights organizations have described as high levels of sex trafficking and teenage pregnancy in the Philippines, compounded by gaps in the enforcement of existing laws.

“In the Philippines, we have about one woman or child raped every 53 minutes,” said Rep. Arlene Brosas of the Gabriela Women’s Party, citing 2016 data from non-profit organization Center for Women’s Resources. “We believe it is much worse — especially that child victims of sexual abuse are very prevalent.”

Brosas and a number of lawmakers are now fighting to raise the age of consent to 16, which is standard in many other countries, including the majority of the United States. The movement took a significant step forward last December when their proposed bill was overwhelmingly approved by the Philippines House of Representatives.

Raising the age is just one step — the bill includes a raft of other provisions to strengthen enforcement, improve the investigation and legal process, and provide more support and confidentiality for victims of sexual exploitation and abuse.

But the bill still has a long way to go before it becomes law, and time is running out. Elections are less than a year away — at which point lawmakers will have to start over from scratch. If it doesn’t pass before then, the bill’s supporters say millions of children will remain vulnerable to exploitation — and with reports of images depicting child sex abuse skyrocketing during the pandemic, the threat has never been more urgent.
