I'm sorry to hear about your mom. But our situations are not even comparable.
I took care of my mother for 5 months with zero help. I even lost my job because I couldn't leave her alone. Everytime I took her to the emergency room they would test for the bioweapon and call me to come pick her up, that's right, I wasn't even allowed to go into the emergency room with her. She was completely bed ridden for that 5 months. I had zero help, not my brothers, not her friends from church, nobody.
My aunt finally showed up mid February to help me out. About a week later we called rescue and the hospital finally admitted her for dehydration and started an IV. She wasn't getting better so they transferred her to another hospital and started running test. They discovered that she had plasma cell leukemia and transferred her to a 3rd hospital. The specialist there kept her for about 8 days then sent her back home to me with 2 weeks to live. She lasted 3 days. She passed away on 3/19.
