(USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST: This is a no-kike zone)

Do not see how any of that relates to Law, Board Volunteer. I will assume you are the one indeed editing peoples posting here. Further it would appear VPNS and Proxies are a common theme on this site, if you are not aware. It would have been better for you to delete and ban the person, then to edit the persons posting. Editing a persons Public Posting on Public site has now shifted liability to you and the administration

-As stated volunteer, tread lightly.

As I am sure by what is being posted here, evidence is being collected as we speak.

You may want to read up on the matter.

Can you be liable for others posting on your social media?

t has become common practice for many clients, especially in the housing and health and social care sectors, to have a Facebook profile (or other social media profile) where the organisation can share news and allow customers and the public to interact and leave comments.

Social media provides an excellent opportunity to modernise the way you interact with customers, but how they interact with you can sometimes cause difficulties. For example, what should you do if a customer leaves an abusive comment in respect of a member of staff or another customer? Or if customers start abusing each other on your Facebook page? Surely, as an organisation you can’t be held liable for defamatory comments made by others on your Facebook page, or can you?

The Law

Two cases provide some guidance to organisations as to their potential liability.

My fren you seem a bit misguided, I am simply pointing out that any Person engaging in the act of editing a public post on a public site has now shifted liability to them and their counterparts.

As stated, It would have been better for the Volunteer to delete the post than to edit it. Hope I was able to clarify some confusion here.
