As a kid growing up in the 60s & 70s I was always taught Patriotism. We went to parades and waved little American flags.
My dad was a WWII Navy vet. Just about all of my adult relatives had been in the military. I joined the army for 3 years when I was 18. I said the Pledge of Allegiance in school. Stood for the anthem, etc.
I was always taught that it was important to vote. That it was our right and our Patriotic duty to vote.
So in 1980, at the age of 19, for the first time in my life I voted in the presidential election, for Ronald Reagan.
Every 4 years after that, I voted in each presidential election. Most of the time, I was not fond of the Republican candidate, but voted for what I considered to be the lesser of 2 evils. I always figured the elections were rigged and that Repubs. and Dems. were flip sides of the same coin. And that the politicians were all controlled by rich puppeteers. I didn't know who the puppeteers were, but figured they were rich people who wanted to stay rich. But I voted anyways, figuring if I don't vote, I can't complain.
This continued until Trump. Voting for Trump, I felt, he was the "real deal"
Now I am 60 years old and I feel totally betrayed by my Country and feel like, if this voter fraud issue is not resolved, I have no interest in ever voting in another election.
