Relax, if there is a a magnetic reversal in our future there isn't anything you or I can do about it but to just enjoy the ride when it happens. The reversals create a global catastrophe that last for a few months and then everything returns to an equalibrium as before. Those lines you see in the stratigraphic layers in the rocks are a record of past global catastrophies. There's a heck of a lot of lines in that record.
Most of the reversals are just magnetic excursions where the magnetic field weakens, like now, and the core slips 20 or 30 degrees in some direction and then begins the slow migration back towards the pole. Most life survives the magnetic excursions, it's the full reversals that wipe out 80% of life on earth.

Reversals are sudden, violent and last only a few months. Think of it as a pendulum swing. The apex of the swing is the actual reversal or excusion, which is of short duration, and then the pendulum continues it's swing. Those apexes are violent and sudden, the swings are gentle and many millenia long.
Myron Fagan was like Fred Phelps in that both discovered treacherous evil, and when they blew the whistle, the powerful came after them. So they became crusaders. With Fagan it was communists. With Phelps it was faggots. What set Phelps off was when the church leaders in the city sided with the homosexual perverts that were crusing the city parks.
If the pulpits aren't part of the solution then they are the problem.
