Banking In California 1849 - 1910

 

Sather Banking Co. & The Bankers Union

 

I'm no financial expert, but did this bankers union, lead to The Great Depression of 1933?

 

Sather Bank merges with London Paris National, Germania Trust Co., and Bank of Italy, among others in 1910.

 

This document can be found just about anywhere online. It is 200+ pages long, but if you download the pdf and type 'Sather' into the search field, you'll get 16 hits.

 

Those 16 pages and all in between are very significant reads pertaining to the history of our financial system.

 

I find this to be incredibly mindblowing.
