Clipping is the cutting-out of articles from a paper publication.[1] Newspaper clippings are often used when people have to write a report or make a presentation on current events for school. Clippings may also be kept by adults for future reference, or for sentimental reasons such as an article on a history-making event. One service of Media monitoring services, which monitor the media exposure of a client, is to collect clippings referring to a client.

A media monitoring service, a press clipping service or a clipping service as known in earlier times, provides clients with copies of media content, which is of specific interest to them and subject to changing demand; what they provide may include documentation, content, analysis, or editorial opinion, specifically or widely. These services tend to specialize their coverage by subject, industry, size, geography, publication, journalist, or editor. The printed sources, which could be readily monitored, greatly expanded with the advent of telegraphy and submarine cables in the mid- to late-19th century; the various types of media now available proliferated in the 20th century, with the development of radio, television, the photocopier and the World Wide Web. Though media monitoring is generally used for capturing content or editorial opinion, it also may be used to capture advertising content.

Media monitoring services have been variously termed over time, as new players entered the market, new forms of media were created, and as new uses from available content developed. An existing group may provide such a monitoring service, as it relates to their main purpose, while a monitoring agency generally provides such as their main business. Alternative terms for these monitoring services as well as the information they provide include:

Press clipping service or agency

Media cutting service or agency

Information logistics service

Media intelligence

Media information services

late Old English godsibb, ‘godfather, godmother, baptismal sponsor’, literally ‘a person related to one in God’, from god ‘God’ + sibb ‘a relative’ (see sib). In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fame and Infamy are statistics on the player's character summary page, which are a measure of how well known the player's character is for performing heroic or dastardly deeds. Many quests, in particular the main story line, raise fame by a few points. Fame is necessary to purchase the houses in Chorrol and in Skingrad.

Renown is effective total value of the player's good/bad deeds, calculated as number of Fame points plus number of Infamy points. Renown is checked when the player wants to activate a Doomstone.

As players continue to play the game their character's will earn notoriety in the world of Cerilia. These values are measured as fame, infamy, and renown. Fame represents how well known a character is in a particular area. Fame is always positive. Infamy represents how well known a character is in a particular area as well, but this time negative. Note that a character can have both fame and infamy from the same area. Having both would signify that some people or groups in the area adore the character, and others abhor them.

Renown represents how well known a character is with a specific group, nation, or organization. Unlike fame and infamy renown can be spent for certain boons and benefits from an organization. Renown can be lost, and can also be negative. In which case it works somewhat like infamy except in the case of renown the group will much more actively oppose you. Below you can find an example of what a renown table for a specific organization looks like.

Breaking Dawn‘s cover is a metaphor for Bella’s progression throughout the entire saga. She began as the weakest (at least physically, when compared to vampires and werewolves) player on the board: the pawn. She ended as the strongest: the queen. In the end, it’s Bella that brings about the win for the Cullens.

Zelig is a 1983 American mockumentary film written and directed by Woody Allen and starring Allen and Mia Farrow. Allen plays Leonard Zelig, a nondescript enigma, who, apparently out of his desire to fit in and be liked, unwittingly takes on the characteristics of strong personalities around him. The film, presented as a documentary, recounts his period of intense celebrity in the 1920s, including analyses by contemporary intellectuals.
