Who here is dealing with IRS fuckery concerning economic stimulus and their taxes?

I never received the second payout (600)…so I claimed the rebate on my taxes. But the IRS flagged my return and docked the $600. Checking my transcript, it shows a refund paid in January of this year….which I never received.

So I called their hotline number and the woman on the phone asked how she could assist me. Told her I wanted to initiate a trace of the payment. So she said she couldn't help me and had to transfer to someone who could. She sends me straight to a recording saying they have too high of a volume of calls on the matter to take my call. Then they direct me back to the website.

*No asking me to call back later

*No nothing

Of course this is the IRS we're talking about…but this smells like my account is flagged and their system is sending certain inquiries into the trash bin. Bitch on the phone probably saw some info about me.
