Tennessee DOH Reportedly Nixes All Vaccine Outreach to Teens Amid Conservative Backlash

It was reported earlier this week that Dr. Michelle Fiscus, head of the Tennessee Department of Health's vaccine programs, was terminated from her position .

The Tennessee DOH has moved to halt vaccine outreach programs for all diseases - not just COVID-19 - following fierce pushback from Republican state lawmakers, according to the Nashville Tennessean, citing an internal report and agency emails.

One email, issued on Monday by Tennessee DOH Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tim Jones, told staffers they should carry out "no proactive outreach regarding routine vaccines," such as the vaccines to prevent measles, polio and Hepatitis B. Staffers were also instructed to conduct "no outreach whatsoever regarding the [human papillomavirus] vaccine."

"Any kinds of informational sheets or other materials that we make available for dissemination should have the Tennessee DOH logo removed," Jones wrote, as reported by the outlet.

The state department of health has also halted all COVID-19 vaccine events that were scheduled on public school property. Per an internal report, this directive came from Health Commissioner Dr. Lisa Piercey.

So far, a little over 5,400,000 vaccines have been administered in the state, according to data from the Tennessee DOH. As of this article's publication, 42.6% of individuals in the state have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 38.2% of people statewide have been fully vaccinated.

Tennessee's new guidance comes alongside fallout from the firing of Dr. Fiscus, the state's now-former top vaccination official.

According to the former state health official, tensions grew between her and Republican state lawmakers after she republished the "Mature Minor Doctrine," which, in part, grants healthcare providers the ability to treat someone between the ages of 14 and 18 without parental consent, "unless the physician believes that the minor is not sufficiently mature to make his or her own health care decisions."

"Within days, legislators were contacting [Tennessee DOH] asking questions about the memo with some interpreting it as an attempt to undermine parental authority," Fiscus wrote in a statement issued in response to her firing.

Tennessee State Rep. Scott Cepicky, a Republican, also argued that the DOH was "targeting" minors he described as "impressionable youth" with "reprehensible" advertising in favor of COVID-19 vaccines.

"Specifically, it was MY [sic] job to provide evidence-based education and vaccine access so that Tennesseans could protect themselves against COVID-19," she emphasized. "I have now been terminated for doing exactly that."

The move also prompted the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) to warn that such a move will "only increase the likelihood that we'll see other outbreaks" of diseases other than COVID-19.

Both Fiscus and the AAP argued that her termination is a prime example of how public health is being politicized in the US.

Members of the Tennessee DOH are scheduled to meet in front of lawmakers again on July 21.

Former band frontman jailed for 28 years for raping 14 women and girls

A former band frontman who raped 14 women and girls across Newcastle has been sentenced to 28 years in jail.

Daniel "Jimmy" Hanson pleaded guilty to abusing the girls and young women between 2005 and 2014.

Six of his victims gave impact statements, describing their pain, trauma and lives changed by the abuse.

One woman was only 12, while another was raped in a storm water drain in school uniform when she was 14.

Sentencing judge Penelope Hock said Hanson had engaged in continuous and predatory sexual offending against the girls and young women over a nine-year period.

Hanson will be eligible for parole in 2040.

Indonesia Regulator Allows Ivermectin Use For Covid Treatment

Merely mentioning the name of the vaccine-busting drug Ivermectin in the US is enough to get you carted off for "questioning" to the nearest illegal CIA blacksite, have the NSA leak all your private information to MSNBC, WaPo and the NYT and quietly shipped off to Guantanamo for permanent re-education under the daily auspices of Critical Race Theory. But not in the "banana republic" of Indonesia, where on Thursday, Ivermectin was officially approved for covid treatment in a vicious blow to the "buy my vaccine" pharmaceutical lobby around the world.

According to Bloomberg, Indonesia’s food and drug regulator, known as BPOM, has issued a letter approving the distribution of Ivermectin, Remdesivir, Favipiravir, Oseltamivir, immunoglobulin, Tocilizumab, Azithromycin and Dexametason to be used in treatment of Covid-19, according to a statement from the agency. The latter, Bloomberg adds, was issued as guidance for distributors of the drugs.

The startling development - if only to the anti-Ivermectin oligarchs in "developed" Western nations - takes place two weeks after eight hospitals in Indonesia began conducting clinical trials on Ivermectin, an anti-parasitic medicine that has appeared to be a potential Covid-19 medication and which is greatly hated by the establishment due to its low price and its ability to eradicate the covid plague which the establishment desperately needs to perpetuate a state of constant near-panic not to mention enabling trillions in fiscal and monetary stimulus, following a permit issued by the national agency of drug and food control.

BPOM's head Penny K. Lukito said at a press conference on Monday (June 28) that global data and guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO) show that Ivermectin, previously used for deworming, can also be used for Covid-19 treatment. However, while the BOMP said on June 28 that data are still being collected and the results are not conclusive, it appears that two weeks later it has found enough conclusive data to formally approve Ivermectin for covid treatment.

Indonesia is scrambling to contain the covid pandemic, having overnight surpassed India’s daily Covid-19 case numbers, and becoming Asia's new virus epicenter as the spread of the highly-contagious delta variant drives up infections in Southeast Asia’s largest economy.

The country has seen its daily case count cross 40,000 for three straight days including a record high of 54,517 on Wednesday up from less than 10,000 a month ago. Officials are concerned that the more transmissible new variant is now spreading outside of the country’s main island, Java, and could exhaust hospital workers and supplies of oxygen and medication.

At Least 30 Reportedly Missing After Houses Collapse in Schuld, Germany

The incident was caused by a massive flood that destroyed 6 houses and damaged 25 others in the Eifel municipality overnight, according to the broadcaster SWR.

At least 30 people are missing after six houses collapsed in the western German city of Schuld, Rheinland-Pfalz. Reports said that heavy rains caused the Nims River to break its banks, flooding the area, and resulting in the incident.

The police said the situation in the flooded city remains unclear. The German authorities are urging people to stay at home during the emergency.

Priest convicted of 26 counts of abusing students at Southern Highlands school

A Catholic priest has been handcuffed and led from a Sydney court after he was convicted of abusing twelve boys at a boarding school in the NSW Southern Highlands in the 1980s.

Anthony William Peter Caruana, 79, assaulted the boys when he was a dormitory manager, rugby coach and band teacher at Chevalier College in Burradoo, a suburb of Bowral, between 1982 and 1988.

On Wednesday, Judge Robyn Tupman convicted Caruana of 26 charges, including 22 counts of indecent assault, after 11 of 12 jurors found him guilty of one final charge of having sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old boy in 1984.

The jury had returned guilty verdicts on 25 of the charges earlier this week.

Caruana initially faced trial on 29 charges, however the jury was unable to reach a verdict on one charge. They were also directed to return a verdict of not guilty to two other charges because of insufficient evidence.

The Crown is not expected to pursue a retrial for the count the jury could not reach a verdict on.

Prosecutor Nerissa Keay said on Wednesday that there will be up to 12 victim impact statements in the case, with some of the men expected to read their statements in court.

Defence barrister Bernard Brassil did not make an application for bail, which was automatically refused because four of the convictions require Caruana to show cause as to why his detention is not justified.

“My instructions are to ask that the offender be placed in strict protection,” Mr Brassil said.

He said his client had brought his medication with him to ensure he gets the correct medicine while behind bars.

Judge Tupman said she will recommend Caruana be placed in “strict segregation given the nature of the offences, and his vulnerable age”.

“I also recommend that he be medically assessed immediately, so he has access to his current medications,” Judge Tupman said.

Caruana was then handcuffed and led from the Downing Centre courtroom by Corrective Services officers.

Raffensperger Warns Georgia County To ‘Clean Their Own House’ After Double-Counting Dozens Of 2020 Ballots Before Recount

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger lambasted Fulton County’s election mismanagement in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation Wednesday after it was reported nearly 200 ballots were initially scanned twice before being corrected in the recount.

“Every time we think we’ve reached the peak of Fulton’s elections mismanagement issues, more comes to light,” Raffensperger told the DCNF. “I’ve been calling for change in Fulton since day one. Maintaining public confidence in our elections begins in Fulton County,” he said.

“Now, with SB202, the State Election Board has the authority to make that happen. If Fulton County doesn’t take action to clean their own house, then I re-iterate my call that the State Election Board should use their new authority to clean it for them,” he said.

A spokesperson for the office of the Secretary of State told the DCNF that Raffensperger has not done anything to indicate his views towards the legitimacy of the election results have changed. “We have now counted legally cast ballots three times and the results remain unchanged,” Raffensperger said in December after Georgia’s recount affirmed President Joe Biden’s victory.

The double-counted ballots were discovered by voters suing to be allowed to review 147,000 absentee ballots, but there is no indication any identical ballots were included in the official results after the recount, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Tuesday. Biden’s lead would have only increased by 27 votes if the ballots had been counted, and election observers and organizations doubt the duplication would have happened often or in large numbers, the Journal-Constitution reported.
