‘We Can All Learn From China’ – Fauci-Funded Researcher Hyped CCP Vaccines and Lockdowns on Communist State Propaganda Network.

Dr. Lee Riley – a recipient of nearly 40 taxpayer-funded grants from Anthony Fauci – has repeatedly appeared on Chinese state-run media outlets to praise Chinese COVID-19 vaccinations and defend state-enforced lockdowns.

Riley, who has received millions from Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) as part of his 100 total grants the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has participated in several China Global Television Network (CGTN) programs.

Riley received most of the grants during his tenure as a Professor and Chair of the Division of Infectious Disease and Vaccinology at the University of California Berkeley’s Li Ka Shing Center.

His resume also reveals grants from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and United States Agency for International Development. Riley has delivered several lectures in China, including at Chinese Communist-run institutions such as the Zhejiang Provincial CDC. He also boasts of having “research collaborations” in China.

Forced to register as a “foreign agent” in the U.S. by the Trump administration, CGTN relies on participation from American experts such as Riley to grant credibility to the operation. CGTN has been identified as a “long-standing weapon in Beijing’s arsenal of repression” whose raison d’être is “to attack designated enemies of the Communist Party,” even airing forced confessions to do so.

The network is the worldwide arm of China Central Television (CCTV), which is directly under the control of the Propaganda Department of the Chinese Communist Party.

In a July 2021 segment on the “state of the pandemic in China,” Riley appears to endorse Chinese COVID-19 vaccines when asked about the possibility of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Europe approving them for use:

“Any new vaccine would be helpful for the vaccination campaign. This new vaccine by Can Sino is an adenovirus vector vaccine, which is similar to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, so it should have a similar level of efficacy. So if we can get that out as quickly as possible, that would definitely help the efforts to bring down the transmissions.”

On a separate CGTN show, Riley reiterated his support for Chinese vaccines when asked about WHO’s decision to authorize them for global use. He posits that the WHO’s decision is a “game-changer” and “important milestone,” adding that “Any new vaccine that can be really added to the current armamentarium that we have will really help the situation, especially in developing countries where vaccines are scarce resources.”

“This vaccine is easier to transport and deliver than some of the other vaccines,” he adds in praise of the Chinese COVID-19 jab.

He was also a panelist on a May 2021 episode of CGTN’s “The Heat,” suggesting that India relaxed their lockdown restrictions too early:

India served as kind of an example as a country where lockdowns were really shown to be effective, but unfortunately, they relaxed these restrictions, and we’re not witnessing the impact of those decisions that were made.

Riley also appeared on the network in June 2021 to discuss the emergence of the Delta variant and when asked about China’s efforts to “ramp up” production and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines to other countries, he asserts that “this is very important.”

State Department Offers a $10 Million Bounty for Information on Foreign Hackers Targeting Critical Infrastructure

The State Department announced Thursday it will offer rewards up to $10 million for information leading to the identification of foreign actors who launch cyberattacks on critical infrastructure.

Tipsters will be able to contact the State Department’s Rewards for Justice (RFJ) program through a secure channel on the Tor browser, the department announced in a statement. The reward is only available for information leading to the identification of persons who target “critical infrastructure” and who are “acting at the direction or under the control of a foreign government,” according to the statement.

Targets other than critical infrastructure, and hackers unaffiliated with foreign governments, were not mentioned in the announcement.

The State Department may offer relocation and payment in cryptocurrency to eligible tipsters, according to the statement. The program will support cybersecurity efforts of other federal agencies, the State Department said.

The announcement comes as part of a larger effort by the White House to combat ransomware attacks, The Hill reported. President Joe Biden issued an executive order in May aimed at improving cybersecurity standards and increasing cooperation and communication between public and private actors.

ICE Will Issue Cell Phones to Released Migrants

A law enforcement source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection says ICE Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers are ramping up their release or “Alternatives to Detention” capabilities. Cell phones with tracking apps will eventually replace ankle monitoring bracelets, according to the source.

The source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, says the phones will allow for GPS tracking and check-ins using facial recognition. The available supply of ankle bracelets will be issued until depleted–at which time the phones will circulate.

The source notes the ankle monitoring efforts have proven expensive and, in many cases, the devices are discarded. The bracelets cost between $400 and $800, depending on the model. In many cases, ERO officers are tasked with tracking and recovering the discarded devices from dumpsters. The cost of a cell phone unit is currently unknown.

The 2022 Homeland Security funding bill advanced by the House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday allocates $475 million to enhance ICE’s Alternatives to Detention Program. This amount is $34.5 million above the agency’s request–a sign the “catch and release” stance of the current administration will continue.

Further complicating the situation along the southwest border is the anticipated end to the existing CDC Title 42 COVID-19 emergency order. As reported by Breitbart Texas, a target date of July 18 has been set for the expiration. The move is expected to result in an immediate surge of migrants across the southwest border.

According to a spokesperson from ICE, there are several technologies used to monitor released migrants. Those methods include ankle bracelets, phone applications, and telephonic reporting. In 2021, $440 million was allocated to conduct the Alternatives to Detention program, a steep increase from the $149 million in 2020.

Special Agent Speaks Out: Biden Nominee Was Coconspirator in Ecoterrorism Case, Would Have Been Indicted if Not for Plea Deal

The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee received a damning letter on Wednesday about President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Tracy Stone-Manning, detailing her complicity in a 1989 ecoterrorist crime and her reluctant assistance to federal authorities only after being granted limited immunity from prosecution.

Retired U.S. Forest Service criminal investigator Michael Merkley, who was the special agent tasked with investigating the plot at the time, wrote to the committee that Stone-Manning “was not an innocent bystander,” according to a copy of the letter obtained by Breitbart News.

“Contrary to many of the stories in the news, Ms. Stone-Manning was not an innocent bystander, nor was she a victim in this case. And, she most certainly was not a hero,” Merkley began. “Ms. Stone-Manning was not only a member of Earth First!, but she played an active role in the Earth First! hierarchy.”

Earth First! is an environmental extremist group to which Stone-Manning belonged while she was a graduate student at the University of Montana in Missoula. Earth First! members committed acts of ecoterrorism in the 1980s and 1990s during the height of the west’s timber wars, and Stone-Manning had a role in one particular case that involved tree spiking in 1989 in Idaho’s Clearwater National Forest.

“Throughout this initial investigation in 1989, Ms. Stone-Manning was extremely difficult to work with; in fact, she was the nastiest of the suspects.” Merkley wrote. “She was vulgar, antagonistic, and extremely anti-government.”

Stone-Manning mailed a profane letter in 1989 to the Forest Service on behalf of John. P. Blount, an individual in her “circle of friends,” alerting federal authorities that trees in the Idaho forest that were scheduled to be cut down had been sabotaged with metal spikes to prevent them from being harvested. Tree spiking, as this form of sabotage is called, is both a crime, and according to the FBI’s definition, an act of ecoterrorism that can damage or destroy expensive logging equipment and injure or kill loggers or millworkers processing the spiked trees.

After the Forest Service received the letter, Stone-Manning and six other individuals in Missoula were the target of a 1989 grand jury investigation for which they were subpoenaed and required to submit fingerprints and handwriting and hair samples.

“She was very uncooperative and refused to provide the hair, the hand writing exemplars, and fingerprints as ordered by the federal grand jury,” Merkley recalled. “It was not until after we informed her that she would be arrested if she did not comply with the subpoena that she reluctantly provided those samples to me.” He added, “However, she refused to answer any of my other questions.”

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis is now requiring employees to get vaccinated against coronavirus or be terminated. A letter was sent to all employees Wednesday afternoon from President and CEO Dr. James Downing, outlining the new mandatory vaccine policy.

In the letter, Downing cites the dangers of the Delta variant and its rapid spread as part of the reason for the mandate. St. Jude employees must be vaccinated by September 9, barring a medical or religious exemption. The eight weeks between now and then is meant to give employees time to schedule and complete the vaccination process.

Any employee who refuses to get vaccinated will be put on unpaid leave for two weeks. At the end of that time, if employees have not started the vaccination process, they will be terminated.

Five Times More Children Committed Suicide Than Died of Covid in First Year of UK Lockdown: Study

Nearly five times as many children died of suicide during the first year of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic in the UK than died of the virus itself, research from top British universities has found.

Studies conducted by researchers at University College London, the University of York, the University of Liverpool, and the University of Bristol appeared to confirm the widely held belief that the Wuhan virus does not present an overwhelming risk of death to children.

In a not-yet-peer reviewed preprint study — but nevertheless, one widely reported by the establishment media — it was found that only 25 children under the age of 18-years-old died of the coronavirus from the start of the pandemic until the end of February 2021. In total 61 children had died after testing positive for the virus, however, in 36 cases it was determined that the virus “did not contribute to their death”.

During the same time period, the studies found that there were 124 child suicides and 268 deaths from trauma, which the researchers said emphasised how the coronavirus is “rarely fatal” for children.

The study concluded, therefore: “The risk of removal of [children and young people] from their normal activities across education and social events may prove a greater risk than that of SARS-CoV-2 itself.”

Only six of the children who died of the coronavirus did not appear to have any underlying health conditions, with 76 per cent of children dying of the virus having an underlying “chronic” health condition.

When extrapolated to the “absolute risk of death” from the coronavirus, children appeared to face just one in 481,000 odds of dying from the Wuhan virus.

The risk of being admitted into intensive care for children is also incredibly low, with the researchers calculating that only 251 young people were put into intensive care during the first year of the pandemic — a one in 47,903 risk level. In all, the paper found that 99.995% of children who tested positive for coronavirus in the study period did not die.

Senior author on two of the studies, Professor Russell Viner (UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health), said: “These new studies show that the risks of severe illness or death from SARS-CoV-2 are extremely low in children and young people.

“Our new findings are important as they will inform shielding guidance for young people as well as decisions about the vaccination of teenagers and children, not just in the UK but internationally.”

Gen. Mark Milley Compared Trump Supporters To Nazis: ‘These Are The Same People We Fought In World War II’

Milley, who has been widely criticized for being “woke,” claimed that Trump was preaching “the gospel of the Führer” when he contested the results of the 2020 election and claimed that Trump had led the U.S. to the brink of its own “Reichstag moment,” a reference to an incident in 1933 that Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler used to consolidate political power in Germany.New York Magazine reported:

These are the same people we fought in World War II.”The report concludes by saying that Milley told Michelle Obama on Biden’s inauguration day that “no one has a bigger smile today than I do. You can’t see it under my mask but I do.”

A separate book documented a separate incident that happened with Milley when Trump was in office in which Milley snapped at Senior White House Adviser Stephen Miller after Miller warned Trump that far-left riots were destroying America last summer.

The allegations are made in a new book by a Wall Street Journal reporter who released excerpts to CNN, which reported:

During one Oval Office debate, senior Trump adviser Stephen Miller chimed in, equating the scenes unfolding on his television to those in a third-world country and claiming major American cities had been turned into war zones.

“These cities are burning,” Miller warned, according to the excerpts.

The comment infuriated Milley, who viewed Miller as not only wrong but out of his lane, Bender writes, noting the Army general who had commanded troops in Iraq and Afghanistan spun around in his seat and pointed a finger directly at Miller.

“Shut the f–k up, Stephen,” Milley snapped, according to the excerpts.

Milley stirred controversy during a recent hearing in front of Congress in which he said he wanted to understand “white rage” and that he found it “offensive” that he was being accused of turning the military “woke” because “we’re studying some theories that are out there.”

EU Commissioner Accuses Belarus of Using Migrants to Blackmail Europe

European Commissioner Ylva Johansson has accused the Belarusian government of blackmailing the European Union and orchestrating mass migration across its border with the bloc.

EU Home Affairs and Migration Commissioner Ylva Johansson made the comments after the recent surge of migrants flowing into Lithuania from Belarus, a number which has reached over 1,600 in the last two months.

Ms Johansson blamed Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko for the wave of migrants, telling Finnish broadcaster YLE: “There is a lot of evidence that this is something orchestrated by Lukashenko, who is using migrants for political pressure.”

She added that there had been reports that the Belarusian authorities have driven migrants to the border and allowed them to cross without checks.

“The situation has worsened with each passing week, and it is completely unacceptable to use people in this way as I feel the Lukashenko regime does,” Johansson said and added: “The important thing now is that we try to put an end to the use of migrants for political blackmail purposes and to show that this is the EU’s external border.”

The surge of migrants comes after the EU placed sanctions on Belarus in June after it intercepted a RyanAir flight from Greece to Lithuania in May that had a Belarusian dissident on board as it was flying over Belarusian airspace.

The EU then blocked Belarusian airlines from flying into EU airspace.

The use of migrants in an attempt to blackmail the European Union has been used by the Turkish government of Islamist President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to great effect in recent years, as well.

Erdogan has repeatedly threatened to allow migrants to cross in large numbers and cancel the European Union’s migrant deal with Turkey, which has so far given the country billions of euros to aid the millions of Syrian asylum seekers living in the country and to stop the flow of migrants.

In late February of last year, Erdogan made good on his threats and opened the gates to migrants. His government, like the Belarusians, was accused of helping migrants cross the border and providing them transportation to the land border with Greece in the Evros region.

The Turkish government closed the border after the outbreak of the Wuhan coronavirus but has still managed to get the EU to agree to fund a further €3 billion (£2.5 billion/$3.6 billion) over the next few years.

The money will be spent on providing aid to Syrian refugees but will also, for the first time, go towards helping Turkey secure its own border.

Surgeon General Urges Tech Giants To Censor COVID-19 Dissidents

The Biden administration is pressuring tech giants to punish any COVID-19 dissidents guilty of spreading what they label as “misinformation” with excess censorship and surveillance.

In a new report titled “Confronting Health Misinformation,” U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy urges big tech giants to crack down on what he labels “misinformation ‘super-spreaders'” operating on their respective sites.

“Limiting the spread of health misinformation is a moral and civic imperative that will require a whole-of-society effort,” Murthy wrote in the introduction of the report.

Murthy urged platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and other corrupt social media companies to enact sweeping censorship “consequences” on “repeat offenders” who violate quickly concocted and ever-shifting content policies. He also suggested an algorithm “redesign” meant to “avoid amplifying misinformation, build in ‘frictions’ — such as suggestions and warnings — to reduce the sharing of misinformation, and make it easier for users to report misinformation.”

Oversight and regulation, Murthy continued, should be a priority held and executed by big tech oligarchs who are already overly enthusiastic about labeling, removing, and downranking users and accounts who have different opinions.

Netanyahu accuses Lapid of ‘minimizing’ concept of antisemitism

The foreign minister on Wednesday compared antisemitism to other racial and political hatreds and said that antisemitism was ‘the family name of hate.’

Opposition leader MK Benjamin Netanyahu has accused Foreign Minister Yair Lapid of “minimizing” the concept of antisemitism and diminishing its uniqueness in comments he made at an international conference on antisemitism at the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.

In his speech, Lapid said that “The antisemites weren’t only in the Budapest Ghetto” but that “antisemites were also slave traders who threw people bound together with chains into the sea,” “Antisemites were the extremist Hutu in Rwanda who massacred Tutsis,” and continued on to say “Muslim fanatics” Isis, Boko Haram and those who kill gay people, were also antisemites.

“Antisemitism isn’t the first name of hate, it’s the family name, it is anyone who hates so much that they want to kill and eliminate and persecute and expel people just because they are different,” added the foreign minister.

In a statement to the press Thursday night, Netanyahu strongly rejected Lapid’s assertion.

“Even though antisemitism, hatred of Jews, is part of the general human phenomenon of hatred of the foreigner, it is different from that in its strength, its durability over thousands of years and its murderous ideology that has been nourished throughout the generations in order to pave the way for the destruction of Jews,” argued Netanyahu.

“Lapid’s comments minimize the uniqueness of the hatred of Jews in history, and the size of the tragedy of the Holocaust which destroyed a third of our people,” he continued.

Lapid actually said however in his speech that “The Holocaust is the extreme manifestation of hate,” and that “There has never been anything like the Holocaust in the history of humanity.”

Netanyahu described Lapid’s speech in general as “outrageous and irresponsible” and said it would make Israel’s demands of other nations to invest in protecting their Jewish communities from antisemitism more difficult.

Lapid did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Netanyahu’s remarks.

Arizona election auditor: 'Critically important' investigators get access to Maricopa County routers

Systems are vulnerable to hacking, investigator claims.

An auditor helping lead the investigation of Maricopa County, Az.'s 2020 election audit said on Thursday that it is "critically important" that auditors gain access to a contested set of data machines that the county itself is refusing to hand over.

Maricopa County has for months refused to hand over county-owned routers subpoenaed by the Arizona State Senate in spite of the fact that a judge earlier this year ruled the subpoena valid, effectively ordering the county to comply with it.

County officials have claimed that the routers, if surrendered, could constitute a security risk if sensitive data within them is leaked. At a state Senate hearing on Thursday, one of the lead investigators of the Maricopa audit dismissed those claims and stressed what he said was the pressing importance of obtaining the routers.

Obtaining the routers is "critically important," Ben Cotton, the founder of the cybersecurity group Cyfir, told Arizona state officials.

Cotton said the routers will help clarify the specific vulnerabilities he claimed are present in Maricopa County's digital election systems.

"The last time that the antivirus [software] was updated on these systems," Cotton claimed during his testimony, was August of 2019. "There have been no operating system updates or patches since that same date," he added.

Hackers, he claimed, would have “no difficulty at all” getting “system-level access” to registration systems at the “current patch state and antivirus state of these systems.”

Cotton dismissed the security concerns advanced by the county over the last few months, claiming that a forensic review of the systems would produce no "people-sensitive data" from county files.

The county has claimed that its routers are shared jointly by multiple sensitive departments including law enforcement and local branches of federal agencies, and that surrendering the machines over to auditors would constitute an undue risk for that data.

CCP uses Big Tech and academia to censor, harass its critics worldwide, they say

"I look at my university and I see the place is absolutely hooked on Chinese foreign student money," Australian academic says.

July 1 was the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the 24th anniversary of Hong Kong's handover to China from the United Kingdom.

It was a moment of celebration for the regime and its supporters, including Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) chapters at British Columbia universities, who competed for prizes from the Vancouver Chinese consulate for showing their "devotion to the Party."

Anne-Marie Brady had a different reaction. Using the CCP's official anniversary hashtag, the China scholar at New Zealand's University of Canterbury mocked President Xi Jinping on Twitter, noting the paltry international recognition for the anniversaries.

Within three days, Twitter had marked the tweets "unavailable," locked her out and hid Brady's account from searches, as documented by a British journalist, Edward Lucas, who pressed Twitter communications for an explanation.

The public scrutiny apparently worked. "Seems like @Twitter may have briefly forgotten they don't work for Xi Jinping," Brady tweeted after regaining control of her account the next morning.

While Twitter told the Associated Press the idea that it's "in coordination with any government to suppress speech has no basis in fact whatsoever," the notices on Brady's suspended account said Twitter detected "unusual activity" coming from it.

This was likely caused by "a concerted campaign by the Chinese Communist Party's online agents," Lucas wrote in his Times of London column. "With minimal cost, effort and risk, thin-skinned dictatorships can unleash a flood of automated complaints that trigger Twitter's response" to criticism of public figures like Xi.

The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education's Sarah McLaughlin, who studies foreign censorship in education, told Just the News she also suspected CCP supporters triggered Brady's shutdown but couldn't say for sure. "That's part of the problem here," that China's influence on tech companies and universities is so shadowy.

"Sometimes it seems like the default" for tech companies to censor, McLaughlin said. Both she and Lucas highlighted LinkedIn's censorship of content within China that mentions sensitive issues such as the Tiananmen Square massacre.

Outside the mainland, Zoom removed users last year for planning memorials of the massacre. The company later apologized and promised more transparency on its removal decisions, which reflects that tech companies are "acknowledging perhaps incomplete protections" for user content, McLaughlin said.

It wasn't Brady's first time facing cancelation for her comments on China. Last fall she accused her university of gagging her during an investigation of complaints about her research on alleged links between the Chinese military and New Zealand universities.

Published by the U.S.-based Wilson Center, a think tank chartered by Congress, Brady's paper said New Zealand is heavily dependent economically on Chinese foreign students and tourists and that China is its sixth-largest foreign scientific research partner.

New Zealand's large neighbor to the northwest is also heavily reliant on China for students, who bring censorship with them to Australian universities, according to a recent report by Human Rights Watch.

Before opening an alleged prostitution parlor on property owned by Rep. Ron Kind (D., Wis.), a Chinese masseuse lost her occupational license in another state after local police linked her to human trafficking and prostitution.

Chunyan Yang began managing a South Dakota massage parlor in August 2013, local records show. Within months, Sioux Falls police heard reports of "females being held against their will" at the establishment and launched an investigation into "human trafficking" and "prostitution," naming Yang as a subject. Two years later, she pleaded guilty to practicing massage without a license and left South Dakota for Plymouth, Minnesota. But when Yang applied to renew her license in the city as owner of "Asian Health Massage," Plymouth's city council denied the application, citing a police background check that linked the business to "illegal activity" through reviews on illicit sex massage sites.

"The reviews state that they had sexual experiences with staff or massage therapists at this location," then-Plymouth police chief Mike Goldstein testified at a council hearing. One such review described a masseuse named "Anna," who "began to play around" with the client's testicles before performing a penile maneuver that "made [him] pop in no time." Goldstein later testified that Yang "used a number of different names over the last several years" and that "one of those names was Anna."

Following the ordeal, Yang became the registered agent of La Crosse, Wis.-based Impression Spa in 2018. The parlor has also been advertised on RubMaps—which USA Today describes as "Yelp for sex spas"—and rents office space from Kind, paying the Democrat up to $50,000 in 2018 and 2019 rental income.

Kind has staunchly defended Impression Spa, calling criticism of its advertisements a "baseless, defamatory attack against an Asian woman-owned small business" in a May statement. The Democrat has yet to address Yang's past legal issues and longstanding ties to prostitution, and his campaign did not return a request for comment on whether he vetted Yang's business history before renting his property to her.

Yang's alleged prostituting continued after the masseuse lost her license in Minnesota. In February 2017, police arrested an Asian Health Massage employee for prostitution following a sexual interaction with an undercover officer, Fox News reported in May. Yang personally directed the officer toward a "dimly lit room" before the massage, the police report states. She later told police that the business was registered in her "daughter's name" as city officials denied her license renewal application.

In May, Kind blamed Impression Spa's advertisements on RubMaps and other sexual sites on Google, saying that "because of Google's algorithms, [the ads] get attached to various sites that the small business has no control over." A Google spokesman pushed back on the defense, however, telling the Washington Free Beacon that the company "does not run Google ads" on any of the illicit sites in question and "prohibit[s] content that promotes compensated sex acts."

Wisconsin attorney Joe Veenstra of Johns, Flaherty & Collins also defended Impression Spa—which has since been renamed Asian Sunny Massage—as a "perfectly legitimate business." In a May statement, the attorney threatened "serious legal action" toward "anyone in the press" publishing "political hit pieces." Veenstra, however, did not disclose his status as a Kind campaign donor. The firm's managing partner, Brent Smith, has also served as Kind's campaign treasurer since August 2020, campaign finance disclosures show.

Veenstra did not return a request for comment.

Russia Updates National Security Strategy With A Focus On “Foreign And Domestic Subversion”

On July 3rd, Russia updated its 2015 National Security Strategy, citing concerns over foreign and domestic subversion.

The new document is moving to shield Russian citizens from outside voices and improve its influence-warfare capabilities.

The 44-page document outlines Russia’s national interests and priorities.

It stated that “actions of some countries are aimed at instigating disintegration processes in the Commonwealth of Independent States in order to destroy Russia’s ties with its traditional allies,” and claimed that “a number of states call Russia a threat and even a military adversary.”

Russia remains committed to using political and diplomatic means to resolve international and national conflicts, the document read.

At the same time, Moscow “considers it legitimate to take symmetrical and asymmetric measures” to thwart and prevent “unfriendly actions” by foreign states that “threaten the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Russian Federation.”

The new document expresses concern over Western governments’ manipulation of Russian affairs. “The declaration of a ‘safe information space’ as a core national interest underscores the importance of information war to the Russian government,” said Ivana Stradner, a fellowat the American Enterprise Institute specializing in law, Eastern Europe and hybrid warfare.

“This is a continuation of the Russian government’s pathological self-victimhood. These claims, like Russia’s threats to ban Twitter this past spring, are aimed at bolstering Russian claims of ‘digital sovereignty’ through which President Vladimir Putin believes he can stave off the types of ‘color revolutions’ that have toppled other dictators in post-Soviet nations.”

That’s not necessarily new, even if it is new to this document, said Samuel Bendett, a CNA adviser who is an adjunct senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security.

“Russia sees itself as a target of persistent and ongoing information operations by the West against Russian Federation targets like the military and security organizations, along with critical infrastructure. This new national security strategy officially elevates these information and cyber threats to the level of an existential challenge to Russia’s long-term survival,” Bendett said.

The new strategy pushes for Russia to engage other countries to partner with Russia on “cybersecurity” issues according to Russia’s definition of cyber security.

“This is significant because Russia has already been using UN subcommittees to frustrate U.S. efforts to develop a cybercrime treaty,” Stradner said.

“Russia even managed to beat out the U.S. for the UN’s approval to draft a global cybercrime treaty.” She called it “part of Russia’s broader revanchist strategy to use international organizations to regain its Soviet-era prestige and power.”

Four arrested in child sex trafficking case involving young South Carolina victims

All four are in custody and two face possible life sentences if convicted.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Authorities have charged four people following an investigation into child sex trafficking that also uncovered two South Carolina victims.

According to the South Carolina U.S. Attorney's Office, three suspects from South Carolina and one from Arizona were charged in a 13-count indictment for their respective roles in the alleged trafficking of children, production of child pornography, and the coercion and enticement of a minor.

"While this indictment speaks for itself, human trafficking and child exploitation are vile crimes, and this office will swiftly and aggressively prosecute those who prey upon minors,” said Acting U.S. Attorney DeHart.

The indictment alleges that, in 2020, 25-year-old Hart William Grow of Surprise, Arizona and 36-year-old Theodore Woolings Bye III of Myrtle Beach "conspired to recruit, entice, harbor, transport, provide, obtain, maintain, patronize and solicit" a minor victim in South Carolina for a "commercial sex act."

From his home in Arizona, Grow is accused of pretending online to be a minor interested in a relationship, in this case a 17-year-old girl named Hannah who he pretended lived in Columbia.

"Using this false persona and promising love and affection, Grow groomed the minor victim to fall in love with 'Hannah,'" the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

Grow then allegedly used this position to begin an often violent sexual relationship with the victim.

Grow then required the victim to engage in violent sexual acts with other men, using social media and message boards to "make his minor victim available" to other men "in exchange for the men sending visual depictions of the sexual encounters" to him.

One of the men was allegedly Bye, who the indictment claims worked with the direction and assistance of Grow not only to participate in sexual acts with the victim but also made the victim available to others.

"According to the indictment, Bye would transport the victim to various locations in and around Myrtle Beach for commercial sex acts," the U.S. attorney's office said, adding that he would use message boards, social media, and texts to advertise.

Two others, 28-year-old Sanadin Mohamed Elrayes of Surfside Beach and 44-year-old Charles Joseph Spillane of Myrtle Beach, are accused of responding to the internet postings and setting up contact and "sexually explicit conduct" with the minor and producing visual depictions of the acts.

Owner of Grain Valley property where human remains found facing sex crime charges

GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. — Independence police say they found human remains Wednesday near a home in Grain Valley that’s connected to a missing persons case in Independence.

So far police haven’t identified the body, but detectives said they have been communicating with the victim’s family.

Neighbors were shocked to see police and even the FBI on the property on S. Buckner Tarsney Road and then to hear what they discovered.

“My grandma lived here since I was a baby, since I was born, and we lived across the street for a while,” said Rhondaya Banks who lives nearby. “Nothing this big ever happened. Nobody or no commotion over there or nothing.”

Records reveal the property belongs to 40-year-old Michael Hendricks.

In May, Hendricks was charged with child sex crimes in Jackson County. The charges consist of child enticement, child molestation, sexual misconduct and tampering with evidence.

A few weeks before that, a teenage girl in foster care told her case worker about reported sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of Hendricks, prosecutors say.

According to court documents obtained by FOX4, the teen indicated that sometime last fall, Hendricks and a woman asked her to dress in lingerie and get in bed with them.

Ohio man arrested on child sex charges

SALEM, Ohio (WKBN) – A 70-year-old man from Painesville has a date to appear in court after being arrested by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.

Task force agents and Salem Police found Larry Smith in a parking lot on East Pershing Street after he set up a meeting online to meet with what he thought was an underage child for sex.

Smith is now expected in court next week.

A Youngstown man is also facing charges after police say he tried to meet up with a teen for sex in Salem earlier this month. His arrest was also part of the task force’s undercover operation.

In March, there were more than 37,000 anonymous administrative queries to access the 2020 election system in Maricopa County that defied “normal Windows behavior,” according to cyber expert Ben Cotton, a witness at the Arizona state Senate hearing Thursday on the election audit.

“The Windows logs will actually record the user name that is requesting that action” in addition to the IP address and the host name of the client making the request, said tech expert Ben Cotton. “What we are seeing here…is we’re seeing anonymous logins at the system level that do not follow that pattern of normal Windows behavior.” Cotton said that he needs to obtain data to figure out what the activity is.

Tech contractor Ben Cotton confirmed that the Maricopa County election system was “compromised” during the 2020 election. “An element of the election system was actually compromised or breached during the course of the November 2020 election…The registration server that was public facing did have unauthorized access to that. The authorities largely turn a blind eye to it all — amid a shift away from cracking down on prostitution, a Post investigation has found.

That leaves the women and their handlers undeterred from doing a brisk enough business that traffic backs up along the stretch — enough for one reporter’s Waze GPS app to detect the jam, even in the dead of night.

Apparent pimps and traffickers keep watch from flashy cars idling on the stretch, including a black Cadillac Escalade and a white Mercedes SUV.

They’re rarely seen interacting with the women they’ve forced into this life, their mere presence enough to maintain a general sense of business-like order to the flesh trade.

Political donor Ed Buck used drugs and engaged in ‘sex play,’ prosecutors said

Democratic mega-donor Ed Buck allegedly lured men to his home to satisfy his twisted “party and play” sex fetish — sometimes personally injecting his victims with methamphetamine, prosecutors said this week at his trial.

Buck, 66, was accused of being “obsessed” with the “party and play” encounters Wednesday in Los Angeles court, where he’s on trial for allegedly providing fatal drug doses to two men, running a drug den and persuading others to travel for prostitution.

“The party is the drugs, the play is the sex. If they didn’t party, he wasn’t interested,” Assistant US Attorney Chelsea Norell said in opening statements, CBS LA reported.

Prosecutors claimed Buck had a “fetish” for paying black men he met online to use meth, sometimes to the point of unconsciousness.

“Buck’s preference was to personally inject victims, and he pressured or incentivized victims to let him do so, sometimes offering large cash bonuses to coerce a victim to agree to an injection or additional injections,” prosecutors wrote in court papers. “Other times, Buck simply injected victims while they were unconscious.”

Prosecutors allege that Buck plied 26-year-old Gemmel Moore with meth, causing him to overdose at his West Hollywood apartment in July 2017.

He also is accused of giving a fatal dose to Timothy Dean, 55, who died 18 months later.

Buck’s lawyers have argued that all the men were at Buck’s apartment under their own will and Moore and Dean did not die from methamphetamine.

“Many of them appeared to be drug addicts by their own admission,” said defense lawyer Ludlow B. Creary II. “They were living according to their lifestyle, and Ed Buck did not create their lifestyle.”

Buck, who has given money to Democratic elites such as Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Gavin Newsom, is facing nine felonies that could put him behind bars for life if he’s convicted.

US Health Official Says COVID-19 Boosters Could Risk More Serious Side Effects

The United States is reviewing the need for a third COVID-19 booster shot among residents who have already been vaccinated but needs to see more data to know if additional shots could raise people’s risk of serious side effects, a U.S. health official said Tuesday.

The official said the second dose for two-shot COVID-19 vaccine regimens was associated with higher rates of side effects, suggesting a third dose could potentially come with even greater risks.

“We’re keenly interested in knowing whether or not a third dose may be associated with any higher risk of adverse reactions, particularly some of those more severe—although very rare—side effects,” said Jay Butler, deputy director at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, during a media briefing.

The U.S. government has not made a decision on whether to administer booster shots but sees a greater potential need for them among the elderly and other groups at high risk for severe infection, Butler said.

Pfizer and partner BioNTech plan to ask U.S. regulators within weeks to authorize a booster dose of its COVID-19 vaccine, based on evidence of greater risk of infection six months after inoculation and the spread of the highly contagious Delta variant of the virus.

Butler said he has not seen any evidence of waning immunity to COVID-19 among U.S residents who received shots in December or January.

He added that existing shots provide significant protection against the Delta variant of COVID-19, which was first found in India and has become the dominant strain in the United States.

Joe Biden’s legal advisor Guy-Uriel Charles authored an op-ed entitled “Stop Calling Quake Victims Looters,” offering justifications for looting, while insisting those who use the term are making an improper “moral judgment.”

Written in the weeks after a massive earthquake hit Haiti, Charles’s CNN op-ed begins by asserting that the word “looter” is “void of empathy”:

To define someone as a looter is not simply to describe him, or her, through an act, it is to make a moral judgment. It is to characterize the person as lawless and criminal. It connotes someone who is without self-restraint; an animal; wanton and depraved. It is a description that is void of empathy for someone who is consciously or subconsciously viewed as “the other.”

Charles also claims that the word is “inevitably racialized”:

Arizona Election Audit: Maricopa County Stonewalling - Will Not Turn Over Routers, Chain Of Custody, Ballot Images As Discrepancies Found

During Thursday's Arizona Senate hearing, auditors revealed that Maricopa County has refused to turn over necessary items - including routers, chain-of-custody documentation, and images of mail-in ballots. What's more, 11,326 voters mysteriously appeared on voter rolls after the election, and 74,000 ballots were reportedly received but have no records to back them up.

'Great Pulp Fiction': Kremlin Hits Back at Claims Russia Supported Trump During 2016 US Elections

Earlier on Thursday, the newspaper, citing what it claims to be leaked Kremlin documents, reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a closed session of the Russian Security Council on 22 January 2016, is alleged to have personally approved a secret operation to support Trump in the 2016 US presidential election.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in a comment to The Guardian, characterised claims of Moscow's secret support for Donald Trump in the run-up to the 2016 US presidential election as "a great pulp fiction".

The newspaper contacted Peskov to clarify "exclusive documents" that suggested the Russian president held a key meeting with intelligence officials and senior ministers on 22 January 2016 during which he gave a green light to a clandestine spy op to support the candidacy of a "mentally unstable" Donald Trump as the US president.

The purportedly leaked documents suggested that a Trump win would play into Moscow's hands as it would cause "social turmoil" and weaken the negotiating stance of the United States on the world stage.

The Guardian claimed that Russian spy agencies were instructed to do everything in their power to ensure a Trump victory, as the former beauty pageant producer was considered by the Kremlin to be the "most promising candidate", whose personality the alleged report assessed as a "impulsive, mentally unstable and unbalanced individual who suffers from an inferiority complex". The Kremlin is also alleged to have compromising intel on Trump, in particular, about his "non-official visits to Russian Federation territory".

The newspaper outlined that Western intelligence agencies were aware of these alleged Kremlin documents and had examined them.

Russia has repeatedly denied the claims of its meddling in the 2016 presidential election in the United States.

According to a report on the Kremlin's website, on January 22, 2016, Putin did have a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council, but they discussed socioeconomic domestic issues, Moldova, and the situation in international markets.

Ukraine Reprised: Victoria Nuland Discusses Belarus with Ukrainian Official

Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland held a phone conversation with the Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Andriy Yermak to discuss what the National News Agency of Ukraine reported was the situation in Belarus. The two were described as having “expressed concern” over developments in Ukraine’s northern neighbor. A nation doesn’t want Nuland to be concerned, much less gravely concerned over its internal affairs given her political track record.

Unlike her telephone conversation with then U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt in 2014 in which she dictated the composition of a post-coup government in that nation weeks before the event, the above conversation has not been recorded and placed on YouTube yet, so its exact contents remain unknown.

It is to be hoped that Yermak was duly deferential to the highest-ranking member of the U.S. Foreign Service, as he would never have been granted the position he currently holds by his personal friend President Volodymyr Zelensky but for Nuland’s deft coup plotting of seven years ago. Before nepotism gained him his current position, he had been appointed Presidential Aide for Foreign Policy Issues shortly after Zelensky took office. Yermak, also an attorney, had been a film producer when he met Zelensky, at the time general producer of the TV channel Inter. Somehow one imagines the prospect of a Ukrainian television miniseries with a title like “The Battle for the Soul of Belarus” or “Free at Last, Released from the Bonds of Despotism” or, better yet, “Rock ‘n Roll Revolution” with a soundtrack by U2, Rage Against the Machine and Nicki Minaj.

What is known of his conversation with Nuland, the pastry peddlar of Maidan Square and patron saint of the seven-year war in the Donbass, is a brief account of it related by Ukraine’s presidential press secretary, Serhiy Nykyforov:

“Andriy Yermak and Ms. Victoria Nuland discussed the situation in Belarus and expressed concern about what is happening there now. They also discussed some security issues related to Russia’s West-2021 exercises and moved on to the topic of Ukraine.”

The joint Belrusian-Russian exercise (Zapad in Russian) is a routine one and Ukraine has no reason to fear anything from it; but Ukrainian officials, including Zelensky, for months have been prophesying, like a blind Greek soothsayer of the time of Sophocles, a threat to the very existence of Ukraine emanating from Belarus. Ukraine has a population almost five times the size of Belarus’ and armed forces trained to meet NATO standards in addition to military equipment provided by the U.S. and other alliance members.

The government of Belarus recently closed its border with Ukraine, accusing the latter of allowing arms to be smuggled into the country for Western-backed “protesters.” The sort of peaceful protesters that set over a hundred Ukrainian policemen on fire with gas bombs in Kiev in 2014, burning several to death. Their efforts were noted, appreciated and rewarded by Nuland and John McCain, who dispensed snacks to the CANVAS-trained perpetrators between bouts of hurling Molotov cocktails at unarmed law enforcement personnel.
