If I wanted to avoid accountability for certain actions or positions taken then I would convert to Judaism for the cover it provides.
Example: 'I converted to Judaism therefore your criticism of my actions or positions is anti-Semitic'.
…At the same time, 'stars' that convert are welcomed (unwittingly) believing their status will bring more prestige, notoriety, money & influence.
