If there is a drop so devastating that it will trigger a cascade leading to disrupt basic services(Food Distribution, Water, Gas/Electric), I cannot imagine POTUS and the Q-team would let it rip in January if they have any choice in the matter. Waiting until spring would mitigate so much human suffering.
