TOKYO (AP) — Three crew members of a Japanese crab fishing vessel died Wednesday after a collision with a Russian freighter in the Sea of Okhotsk, north of Japan’s Hokkaido island, officials said.

 

The Japanese vessel overturned following the collision. The Russian cargo ship rescued all five crew members, but three were confirmed dead after arriving at the port of Mombetsu, Japan’s government spokesman Katsunobu Kato said.

 

Japanese broadcaster NHK identified the Japanese vessel as the 9.7-ton Daihachi Hokko Maru, based in Mombetsu, and the freighter as the 662-ton Amur, registered in Nevelsk in Russia’s Sakhalin island.

 

The two vessels collided around 6 a.m. about 20 kilometers (12 miles) north of Mombetsu. The Amur had departed Sakhalin on Tuesday and was carrying crabs to the Japanese port.

Megan Fox On Initially Having Doubts About Dating Machine Gun Kelly

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have been a hot Hollywood couple for over a year on the heels of the Transformer star’s divorce to Brian Austin Green after 10 years of marriage. Fox’s flame has dazzled with their impeccable street style, collaborations and the sweet words they share about their relationship. But as Fox recently admitted, she wasn’t always sure her and the rapper would work as well as they do together.

 

The actress spoke about her first impressions when meeting Colson Baker a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly and, while she originally could make a case for it not being the right fit, another feeling overshadowed those feelings. In her words:

 

When I met [Colson Baker], I knew instantly that this is a soul I’ve traveled with before, that this was a soul-mate connection, and that there was a purpose here. … There was my logical brain chiming and being like, ‘This will never work for 101 reasons.’

 

Sometimes it’s all about intuition and, for Megan Fox, it seems that treated her well in regards to Machine Gun Kelly. Although the actress expressed some doubts to Who What Wear, she also seemed to know instantly that the rapper would be an important person in her life. The couple met on the set of Midnight In the Switchgrass in early 2020 and have reportedly been dating since last spring.

 

The couple collaborated on Machine Gun Kelly’s music video, “Bloody Valentine,” as dating rumors about them were at an all-time high. The song had Fox playing Colson Baker’s girlfriend and featured her mouthing the words to his lyrics in a series of intimate shots. Throughout last summer and fall, the couple shared a series of cute photos of themselves together:

 

Megan Fox recently spoke out about the hate she gets for being in a relationship with a man who is four years younger than her when a male counterpart like George Clooney does not get called out for being nearly 20 years older than his wife. Despite the hate though, the couple certainly seem devoted to each other, as Machine Gun Kelly recently called their romance “real, great love.”

 

Fox’s latest project is Till Death, a horror movie about a woman who finds herself handcuffed to her husband after he has mysteriously been killed. Although Megan Fox is famous for horror cult classic Jennifer’s Body, the actress claims that it was more of a “dark comedy” and that Till Death was new territory for her.

 

Additionally, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s movie Midnight in the Switchgrass comes out on demand next week, July 23. The movie, which also stars Bruce Willis and Emile Hirsch is about a FBI agent and Florida state officer teaming up to solve a string of murder cases.
