GOP Lawmakers Move To Block CRT Training In Military

Saturday, July 17, 2021

Republican Sen. Tom Cotton (Ark.) announced legislation to stop military officers from teaching critical race theory. At a Republican dinner on Friday, Cotton said CRT was an anti-American idea that only focused on skin color and opposed the foundations of the democracy.

Cotton has recently worked with other Republicans such as Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) to create the “combating racist training in the military act”.

“Our service members don’t need to be reading arguments that America and our institutions, including the military, are inherently racist and irredeemable,” Crenshaw asserted. “It’s detrimental to the moral of the very men and women who put on the uniform to defend America with their lives.”

Traditional Americanism promotes unity, cohesion and equality among service members. Indoctrinating troops against those values runs directly counter to the mission of the force.

Cotton and Crenshaw launched a whistleblower tip line for military members to report evidence of CRT training and have received hundreds of tips just since its inception in May. According to the senator, numerous sailors interviewed in the report have contended the Navy seemed to be prioritizing diversity issues over actual combat.

“…The fact that 94% of all the sailors interviewed thought that the Navy has a crisis of leadership and culture on the surface,” he explained. “They say they have seen little institutional focus in their training over the years in war fighting and legality.”

One Navy lieutenant went on to say, “sometimes I think we care more about whether we have enough diversity officers than if we’ll survive a fight with the Chinese navy.”

The findings of this investigation into the Navy’s culture are concerning. I intend to work with veterans, Navy leaders, and my colleagues to implement the report’s recommendations.https://t.co/9U0pVSZd6z

Similarly, a recently retired senior enlisted leader said, “I guarantee you every unit in the Navy is up to speed on their diversity training. I’m sorry that I can’t say the same of their ship handling training.”

In February, the Chief of Naval Operations released an updated reading list including “How To Be An Antiracist,” which advocates for supposed “woke teachings.” According to the Republican leaders and those interviewed, the curriculum is reportedly sending sailors into battle less prepared and less focused than their opponents. Republican lawmakers directed this investigation into the Navy after several high profile losses of sailors and warships occurred.

Critics say not only has the military degraded the effectiveness of it’s troops by teaching CRT,- it stands in opposition to the 1976 Supreme Court decision that the military would be apolitical or politically neutral under civilian control.

Arizona Senate President: Arizona State Legislature Doesn't Have Authority To Recall Electors

Arizona Senate President Karen Fann spoke with OANN about recalling electors on Friday. The Propaganda Press Washington Examiner (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/arizona-senate-powerless-recall-electors-president?utm_source=msn&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=msn_feed) reported:

“The Arizona Senate lacks the authority to recall electors, the legislative body’s Republican president said on Friday.

Fann told One America News Network that the Arizona Senate has the power to help the auditors get the materials and information they say they need (likely through more subpoenas, along with a door-to-door canvass), but the question of decertifying the election will be left up to others.

“The Senate body — we do not have the authority to do that. So, this is what we have said, and I want to make this very clear on the record,” Fann told host Natalie Harp.

“I am not saying there is no way it can be done. What I am saying is our Senate body does not have the authority to do it. However, we will turn [the audit’s findings] over to the Attorney Generals, not only on the state level, but on the federal level. And we will turn it over to Congress, and they can make those decisions. And that is, I’m saying, if there were any wrongdoings,” she said.

“But if, if, if those determinations show there was enough difference in a count of the electoral — particularly since it was such a small margin here as it was in some other states, then Congress is going to have to take care of that.”

TEXAS

Trump – 5,890,347 (52.1%)

Biden – 5,259,126 (46.5%)

Red - Rampant

Yellow – Likely/Suspect

Green - Clean

Estimating 675k excess votes for Biden, conservatively estimated. This would still give him a record high Dem vote gain, as he was up 1.38mm from Clinton, with Trump also up at a record number 1.21mm. Counties over 50k listed in spreadsheet screenshot.

No party reg, heavy on 20 year pattern plus political trend. Trump trended Hispanic TX heavily Republican, but somehow “lost” Tarrant County and lost big margins in suburbs despite huge ~30% gains or more in all of them. Dem activity is obvious, many suburbs over 60% growth, huge urbans over 40%.

Put simply, massive Trump gains in San Antonio, Fort Worth, and Houston don’t agree historically with a corresponding massive Dem jump in those counties.

If accurate on 675k excess, Trump margin should have been roughly 55.4 to 43.1 (12.3%) with a margin of 1.3mm votes instead of 631k.

Good, only a few weeks left of this season and the weekend was sunny, which always makes me happy.

Car took a little thud and have to take it to the mechanic, again. Other than that, not too bad my fren/nemisis/unhelpful flag joiner-inner of conversations.

kek

Always happy to chat with you.

Going to be around later? In need of a nap…
