Marjorie Taylor Greene Blasts “Communist Democrat Party” at City Hall Rally After Anaheim City Officials Cancel Her Indoor Event with Matt Gaetz

For the 3rd time this month, a venue in California canceled plans to host an America First rally put on by Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene.

The event was scheduled to be held on Saturday, but it was abruptly called off that morning.

The city of Anaheim, in a gross violation of their authority, reached out to the venue and successfully shut down the event. They cited ‘security concerns’ as the bogus reason for suppressing the freedom of speech of two sitting members of Congress.

Gaetz and Greene did not let that stop them. Within hours, they put together a ‘protest against communism’ that was held in front of Riverside City Hall that hundreds of patriots attended.

Even in California, 2 Republican members of Congress can draw a bigger crowd in a couple hours notice than the guy who supposedly got 81 million votes.

At the event, MTG blasted the “Communist Democrat Party” for their intimidation tactics and suppression of patriots across the country.

Their message to the neo-Marxists was loud and clear: You can’t cancel us, “America First will not back down.”

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich Requests Evidence Of Fraud from AZ Secretary of State Katie Hobbs

Attorney General Mark Brnovich has requested evidence of illegal voting from Secretary of State Katie Hobbs.

The Denver Gazette reported that an email sent out on Wednesday said:

The (attorney general) has not received any information from your office regarding potential double voting in the 2018 or 2020 election,

Notably, this is the first time in over a decade the AGO has received no referrals from the Secretary of State regarding double voting.

Additionally, please provide any and all records your office possesses related to potential violations of Arizona’s election laws.

“Hobbs’s office is awaiting a report from a national organization that works with states to help identify potential double voting cases, a spokesperson for the secretary of state said on Friday.”

Apparently, there were zero cases of double voting in the 2018 and 2020 elections. Are we to believe that they have eradicated this issue?

Either this issue has been corrected or Secretary of State Katie Hobbs is concealing the evidence.

This is a good start from Attorney General Brnovich but what else has he done to ensure this audit finds the truth?

Besides telling the U.S. Department of justice to go away when they tried to infringe on States’ rights and indicting a sick voter who voted for her dead mother, which is his duty, he has done nothing.

He has not helped the Senate enforce legal subpoenas and he has done nothing to look into possible crimes committed by the county to our knowledge.

Brnovich is running for U.S. Senate in 2022 and Arizonans will tell him to pound sand if he fails America.

Also alarming is the fact that the only two outlets covering this story are The DENVER Gazette and AZ Central (paid subscription required).

On the same day, local ABC 15 reported old news. Over a week ago Democrats demanded AG Brnovich probe the election audit instead of the fraudulent election itself.

It is clear what information they want us to see.

After what we saw last Wednesday, we better see indictments come out at some point.

UK Government Minister Suggests New Lockdown Before The Current One Has Even Ended

A UK government minister suggested that it was perfectly plausible a new lockdown could be imposed in the near future, before the current one has even officially ended.

All COVID-19 restrictions are supposed to end on Monday, although SAGE scientists and other lockdown zealots are desperately scrambling to have the decision reversed yet again.

Now Solicitor General Lucy Frazer has signaled the government may be about to cave to them again after telling Sky News that Brits will “of course” face yet another lockdown in the near future on current projections.

“Of course, if we get into a situation where it is unacceptable and we do need to put back further restrictions, then that of course is something the Government will look at,” said Frazer.

People who believed that if they just submitted and took the jab they would get their lives back appear to have been seriously mistaken.

According to a report from Public Health England, more vaccinated people than unvaccinated people are now dying from COVID.

“The report shows that 163 of the 257 people (63.4%) who died of the delta variant within 28 days of a positive COVID test between February 1 and June 21, had received at least one dose of the vaccine,” reports LiveMint.

French Face 6 Months In Jail For Entering A Bar Or Restaurant Without A COVID Pass

People in France who enter a bar or restaurant without a COVID pass face 6 months in jail, while business owners who fail to check their status face a 1 year prison sentence and a €45,000 fine.

Yes, really.

The punishments are part of a draconian effort by the French government to force citizens to get the coronavirus jab amidst multiple unruly protests across numerous major cities.

President Emmanuel Macron announced earlier this week that those unable to prove they’re vaccinated or a negative COVID test (at their own cost) will be banned from using public transport, entering a cinema, shopping mall, bar, cafe, restaurant and other venues from August 1st.

“People unable to present a valid health pass risk up to six months in prison and a fine of up to €10,000 (£8,500), according to the draft text of the law, while owners of “establishments welcoming the public” who fail to check patrons’ passes could go to jail for a year and be hit with a €45,000 fine,” reports the Guardian.

There will soon prison sentences attached to the new French law for vaccine passports.

If you are caught in a restaurant without proof of vaccination, you face up to six months in jail.

The restaurant owner faces up to a year for hosting you.

The sanctions represent the most authoritarian move to force vaccine compliance in the west, and probably outstrip a lot of actual dictatorships in other parts of the world.

The Guardian rather euphemistically describes it as a “big stick approach,” which would be true if that ‘big stick’ were an electric cattle prod the size of the One World Trade Center building in New York.

The government had to withdraw a similar law back in December following numerous riots, but merely re-introduced the same legislation with even tougher punishments for dissenters.

As we previously highlighted, police in Paris used tear gas to disperse demonstrators protesting against the measures in scenes that unfolded in several other major cities throughout the country.

We are now entering the phase of the pandemic where it’s becoming clear that those who refuse to take the vaccine will remain under the most onerous lockdown measures yet in perpetuity.

Kamala Harris will not quarantine after being in contact with two Covid-19 positive Texas Democrats

Despite being in maskless contact with two Texas House Democrats who tested positive for Covid-19, US Vice President Kamala Harris does not plan to self-isolate, her aide told the media.

Harris’ spokesperson Symone Sanders confirmed in a statement over the weekend that Harris met with members of the Texas state legislature this week after they ‘fled’ to Washington, DC to avoid voting on an elections integrity bill in their home state. Three have since tested positive for Covid-19 and will need to quarantine for 10 days. Images of Harris speaking with the Democrats in an indoor setting showed no one appeared to be wearing masks.

Sanders said the vice president did not have “close contact” with the Democrats and only met with two of the three infected.

“Based on the timeline of these positive tests, it was determined the Vice President and her staff present at the meeting were not at risk of exposure because they were not in close contact with those who tested positive and therefore do not need to be tested or quarantined. The Vice President and her staff are fully vaccinated,” Sanders said. All three Democrats who tested positive for Covid-19 were previously vaccinated as well.

The Texas Democrats met with numerous other politicians while in DC, including Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-New York), though the Democrat leader said he was not in contact with anyone who was infected.

Harris met with the group on Tuesday. The first positive test came Friday evening and the following two on Saturday. The Texas politicians were heavily mocked on social media following the positive tests, as critics spread images of the politicians making their trek while none appeared to be masking.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that vaccinated individuals do not need to quarantine after being in contact with someone who is Covid positive, but they do recommend monitoring symptoms for two weeks.

Harris has been traveling the country promoting Covid-19 vaccinations. One of the cities she recently visited, Las Vegas, has already gone back to requiring masks for people in indoor settings, with health officials citing recent upticks in cases as the reason. California health officials have put forth the same guidance in Los Angeles.

There have been multiple high-profile cases of people who are vaccinated getting infected with Covid-19. A Foo Fighters concert that had been scheduled for this week required attendees to be vaccinated, but it was ultimately canceled after someone within the “organization” tested positive.

Similar to Harris’ situation, United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson, together with Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak, recently came into contact with Health Secretary Sajid Javid, who tested positive for Covid-19. They were not initially planning to self-isolate since they were participating in a ‘daily contact testing pilot’ which would allow them to continue essential government business even after the risky contact.

However, following a backlash, both the prime minister and the chancellor decided to self-isolate, with Sunak admitting that “the sense that the rules aren’t the same for everyone is wrong.”

Miles Taylor, a former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official, made the comment during a Thursday interview on MSNBC’s “The Reid Out.”

“I’ve spent my whole career not as a political operative. I’ve never worked on a campaign in my life other than campaigning against Trump. I’m a national security guy. I’ve worked in national security against ISIS, al Qaeda and Russia,” Taylor said.

“And the No. 1 national security threat I’ve ever seen in my life to this country’s democracy is the party that I’m in — the Republican Party. It is the No. 1 security national security threat to the United States of America,” he said.

I couldn’t believe that he actually said that.

In the past, members of the Biden administration have labeled certain political subgroups as national security threats, but now Miles Taylor is saying that the entire Republican Party is the number one national security threat that our nation is facing.

Just think about what that means.

When we would capture a member of Al-Qaeda or ISIS, we would ship them off to Guantanamo Bay and torture them for months or even years.

I always spoke out against such torture, because it was morally wrong.

And I knew that eventually the same tactics would be used against Americans.

Facebook says 85% of US users are pro-vaccine as it rejects Biden’s criticism of ‘killing people’ with Covid-19 misinformation

Facebook has patted itself on the back for encouraging vaccine acceptance among its US users, noting an increase of 10-15% since January, while firing back at President Joe Biden’s claim of subverting the rollout.

"The data shows that 85% of Facebook users in the US have been or want to be vaccinated against COVID-19," Facebook VP of Integrity Guy Rosen said in a blog post on Saturday, rejecting Biden’s charge that social media was to blame for the lack of enthusiasm among Americans towards the Covid-19 jabs.

On Friday, Biden tore into social media platforms such as Facebook, accusing them of “killing people” by not cracking down on non-conventional opinions about vaccination fervently enough.

“They're killing people… Look, the only pandemic we have is among the unvaccinated. And they're killing people," the US president said.

Dismissing the allegation, Rosen accused Biden of essentially making Facebook a scapegoat for his administration’s failure to reach its self-imposed goal of having 70% Americans vaccinated by July 4.

"President Biden’s goal was for 70% of Americans to be vaccinated by July 4. Facebook is not the reason this goal was missed,” Rosen said, arguing that figures “tell a very different story to the one promoted by the administration.”

Facebook, Rosen claimed, has seen a dramatic increase in confidence in Covid-19 vaccines among its American users in the last six months. “Since January, vaccine acceptance on the part of Facebook users in the US has increased by 10-15 percentage points (70% → 80-85%)," Rosen wrote, citing a recent survey by Carnegie Mellon University. He added that distrust of the jabs among racial and ethnic minorities has “shrunk considerably” as well.

Facebook has deployed “unprecedented resources" in its fight against the pandemic, such as “pointing people to reliable information” and facilitating vaccine appointments, he noted. In addition to persuading people of the effectiveness and safety of the vaccines through pop-up labels under coronavirus-related posts, Facebook has been waging a war on information that does not align with the official stance of the World Health Organization (WHO) or local governments.

Hailing its success in stamping out Covid-19 “misinformation,” Facebook said it shadowbanned some “167 million pieces of Covid-19 content” deemed untrue by its fact-checkers, in addition to erasing 18 million “instances of Covid-19 misinformation.”

In a thinly-veiled swipe at the Biden administration, Rosen pointed out that Canada and the UK, where Facebook has used “similar tactics,” had already hit the 70% milestone for first dose vaccinations. Some 68% of American adults have received at least one shot.

On Friday, Canada also overtook the US in the number of those fully vaccinated after some 48.45% of eligible Canadians received their second dose compared to 48.05% of Americans.

The march was designed to protest so-called white supremacy, with agitators attaching their cause to the shooting of Dorian Murrell, a George Floyd protester who was reportedly shot by a white man after an altercation even though there are conflicting versions of the story that disagree on whether or not the altercation occurred prior to the shooting.

New Black Panthers chanted “Black Power” and activist Malik Shabazz declared into a megaphone that “We are not going to keep laying down and taking injustice.” A man in a crown declared that “We are the chosen people,” echoing the belief among black nationalists that blacks are the true Hebrew Israelites and not the current Jewish people who occupy the nation state of Israel. “I think this whole city needs to understand what black power is to understand black power,” declared another speaker who also led a chant of “Death to white supremacy.”

Virginia PTA leader who declared 'let them die' while railing against opponents of CRT ousted from job

An official with the Virginia Parent-Teacher Association who made headlines last week after seemingly wishing death upon opponents of critical race theory has resigned from her position.

While concerned parents gathered outside Luther Jackson Middle School in northern Virginia last week for a "Stop CRT Rally," Michelle Leete — the vice president of training at the Virginia PTA, vice president of communications for the Fairfax County PTA, and first vice president of the Fairfax County NAACP — spoke to counterprotesters who support CRT.

During her diatribe, Leete seemingly said of critical race theory opponents, "Let them die!"

So, let's meet and remain steadfast, steadfast, in speaking truth, tearing down double standards, and refuting double talk. Let's not allow any double downing on lies. Let's prepare our children for a world they deserve. The Virginia PTA announced Saturday that it had requested, and received, Leete's resignation.

"While not speaking in her role within Virginia PTA, we do not condone the choice of words used during a public event on Thursday, July 15, 2021," the statement said.

In a separate statement, the Fairfax County Parents Association further condemned Leete, whom the associated noted still works with the Fairfax County NAACP.

"Virginia PTA requests and receives the resignation of Michelle Leete due to her comments wishing the death of parents who disagree with her," the Fairfax County Parents Association wrote on Twitter.

"The actions & rhetoric of Ms. Leete & all of the like-minded partisan supporters of the SB are deeply disappointing. It evinces a deep lack of concern for children & parents, particularly where the wellbeing of children & families clash with political considerations," the statement added.

What did Leete say?

Leete told the Washington Post that her comment — "let them die" — did not refer to opponents of CRT, but rather "the ideals that show a disregard and lack of support for our teachers who have a truly difficult job to do even without a pandemic."

"I will certainly admit, it was ineloquently stated and with a pause for the applause, the timing was off," Leete added.

Appeals Court Agrees to Review Decision on Big Tech’s Section 230 Immunity

A little-watched civil rights case that threatens Silicon Valley’s Section 230 immunity took a huge step forward Friday as an appeals court that rarely does so agreed to review a lower court’s decision.

The U.S. Appeals Court for the Second Circuit in New York agreed to review a lower court’s ruling that Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (CDA) protects Big Tech companies like Vimeo from civil rights liability in censorship cases.

Big Tech censorship became a hot button issue during the 2020 presidential campaign when President Donald Trump was selectively censored by Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.

The controversy became especially heated late in the campaign when a New York Post series of news articles about the allegedly corrupt business dealings of President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, was banned by the Big Tech giants.

Trump has filed a class-action lawsuit in federal court against the firms that censored him. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) has also been the most vocal of multiple congressional conservative Republican critics of Section 230 immunity.

The case of Domen v. Vimeo came about after Vimeo, an Internet video-hosting company, terminated Church United’s video streaming activities after it featured videos of five men and women who left the gay lifestyle to pursue their Christian faith. Vimeo claimed its terms of service bar streaming videos that promote sexual orientation change therapy. Church United is led by Pastor Jim Domen.

A federal district court had previously held that Section 230 exempted firms like Vimeo and a three-judge panel of the Second Circuit upheld the lower court’s ruling.

As a result of Friday’s decision, however, the panel’s ruling will be reheard before the entire Second Circuit. The Second Circuit covers six federal district courts in three states, including New York, Connecticut and Vermont.

There currently are 10 active judges on the Second Circuit and 13 semi-retired senior judges.

“This ruling puts Section 230 immunity in the crosshairs of judicial review. We suspect that the en banc court recognizes that Big Tech is not exempt from state and federal civil rights laws,” said attorney Robert Tyler, general counsel for the California-based Advocates for Faith & Freedom. His law firm, Tyler & Bursch, represents Pastor Jim Domen and the California-based Church United non-profit.

“Section 230 was not intended to give Big Tech the right to exclude persons from their platform just because the customer is black, Muslim, white, Christian, homosexual or formerly homosexual. That is plain invidious discrimination,” said Tyler.

Church United is a non-profit that claims to have more than 750 pastors affiliated with its efforts to “positively impact the political and moral cultures of their communities.”

Arizona Senate Leader: State’s 11 Electors Cannot Be Recalled After Maricopa Audit

Arizona Senate President Karen Fann, a Republican, said the state Senate doesn’t have the ability to recall electors for the Nov. 3 election, after a fellow Republican lawmaker called for new elections.

Fann told One America News Network (OANN), which has been covering the audit of Maricopa County, that the upper chamber has the ability to provide auditors with the materials they need—including via using subpoenas—but the certification of electors is a different matter.

“The Senate body—we do not have the authority to do that. So, this is what we have said, and I want to make this very clear on the record,” the Republican state leader said on Friday.

It came as former President Donald Trump issued a statement declaring that the audit revealed there were irregularities and fraud that would have swayed the election in his favor last year. On July 15, the Senate held a hearing in the midst of a monthslong review carried out by Florida-based tech firm Cyber Ninjas, and teams told lawmakers they discovered discrepancies.

Doug Logan, the CEO of Cyber Ninjas, told senators that auditors couldn’t find any record of Maricopa County sending some 74,000 mail-in ballots and also discovered that around 18,000 people voted but were taken off voter rolls “soon after the election.” He added that there were “11,326 people who were not on the voter rolls on Nov. 7, 2020, but appeared on the rolls on Dec. 4, 2020, and 3,981 people who voted after registering after Oct. 15, 2020.”

After the hearing, some GOP senators called for Arizona’s 11 electors—who went for Biden—to be recalled.

“A new election must be conducted. Arizona’s electors must not be awarded fraudulently & we need to get this right,” Sen. Wendy Rogers, a Republican, wrote in a pair of Twitter posts last week.

But Fann, in her OANN interview, said that the Senate in this situation only has “the ability to subpoena information because we make laws,” adding that they’re “entitled to have the information to determine how to write those laws.”

“That’s why we are successful in court, and that’s what we’re doing. It’s all about election integrity. It’s not about the Trump–Biden race. It’s not about the Kelly–Martha McSally race,” Fann remarked, referring to the 2020 presidential election that saw the inauguration of President Joe Biden, as well as the U.S. Senate race that was won by Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.).

Following the hearing, Maricopa County officials and Democrats like Secretary of State Katie Hobbs claimed the audit team and Senate Republicans are incompetent and said their findings shouldn’t be taken seriously.

AG Paxton: Democrats ‘Could Be Arrested as Soon as They Step Back on Texas Soil’

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Saturday said that the Democrats who have fled the state in an effort to block an election bill could be arrested as soon as they set foot back on the soil of the Lone Star State.

“If you care about the Constitution, there are constitutional duties to show up when there is a session and represent the people they are elected to represent,” Paxton told Newsmax.

“We have a minority of Democrats who decided that they are not going to let any other legislator vote, so they’re not even going let other legislators do their duty,” Paxton, a Republican, added. “It’s clearly a violation of the law.”

The Epoch Times requested comment from Caucus Chair Chris Turner, one of the top Democrats who left the state.

On July 12, dozens of Texas House Democrats walked out of a special legislative session and boarded flights to Washington, where they have remained since. The move left the Republicans without the quorum required to conduct legislative business.

The Democrats used the move to thwart the passage of Republican-led election reform legislation. In Washington, they are pushing for the passage of the Democrats’ federal level election reform bill, which would vastly expand federal control of elections and usher in nationwide vote-by-mail.

The Democrats’ trip was funded by Powered By People, the election advocacy group run by former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas). The group had raised more than $500,000 as of last week.

The Democrats have vowed to stay in Washington for the duration of the special session and possibly longer. According to their estimates, it is costing $10,000 a day to be there.

“The message is very clear: America, we need to wake up, we need to preserve our democracy, we need a federal voting rights solution, and we need it now,” Rep. Martinez Fischer (D-Texas) told CNN on July 10 before Democrats walked out from the Texas special session. “This is a now or never moment. We’re holding the line in Texas and we’re going to fight with all our might. But even if we were to fix this problem in Texas, it doesn’t solve the problem for the rest of the nation.”

Paxton said Democrats who return from Washington could be arrested as soon as they enter Texas as long as the special session is ongoing. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott can call another special session as soon as the current one expires in early August.

“Ultimately I believe we’ll vote on this issue, so all they’re doing is wreaking havoc on the lives of other legislators,” Abbott said.

Surgeon General Murthy: Right-Wing Media Is Putting ‘People at Risk’

Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that media like Fox News and Newsmax were putting people at risk with misinformation on the coronavirus vaccine.

Anchor Dana Bash said, “Do you think conservative media, like Fox News, are doing the same? Are they killing people, too, with rhetoric you just heard?”

Murthy said, “I think all of us, including the media, including individuals, health professionals, have a responsibility to share the truth about health as science dictates, as science informs us. And, you know, unless we do that unless we are honest about the consequences of our communication with people, unless we are rigorous about ensuring that what we communicate is actually sourced from science and not from an opinion on critical issues like the vaccine, then we are going to ultimately put people at risk.”

He added, “That is my great worry, Dana. People all across our country, and I hear from folks all the time who are struggling to make decisions about their health. After this very difficult year, we’ve been through, people deserve to have access to accurate information. They deserve to hear that from their leaders, from the media. They deserve to see that on platforms online.”

“They need that information to be able to make decisions to protect themselves and their families,” Murthy continued. “That’s the least we can do for them. And my worry is that all of this is misinformation that’s floating around. It’s having a real cost that can be measured and lives lost, and that is just tragic.”

Judge Who Spoke of Letting Men Sexually Abuse His Daughter Kicked Off Bench

France’s Supreme Council of the Judiciary has dismissed a judge in Dijon who has been indicted for allegedly asking men on a “libertine” website to sexually abuse his 12-year-old daughter.

The decision or remove the judge from his post was made earlier this week by the Supreme Council of the Judiciary and comes just over a year after the judge was indicted for allegedly offering his underage daughter for sex to random men on the internet.

The incidents are said to have taken place between October of 2019 and May of 2020, while an investigation into the judge’s behaviour began in January of 2020, France Info reports.

The case was not investigated in Dijon but was instead handed over to the public prosecutor’s office in Besançon in order that the judge was not being investigated by his own peers.

Searches of the home and offices of the judge were later carried out in June of last year and ruled out any involvement of the man’s wife, who had been under investigation in the case prior to the raids.

Étienne Manteaux, the prosecutor of Besançon, stated that the judge claimed the online messages were mere “fantasies” and that no evidence of any actions beyond the messages had been found — but the judge had allegedly sent pictures of his daughter in a bathing costume to others.

Last month, authorities called on the Supreme Council of the Judiciary to dismiss the judge from his post, arguing that “this magistrate has lost all legitimacy to enforce the law.”

Child prostitution has become a major issue in parts of France in recent years, with a French Central Office for the Suppression of Human Trafficking (OCRTEH) report published in February revealing that the number of children exploited by sex traffickers had increased 600 per cent from 2014 to 2020.

Greek University Students May Need Vax or Weekly Negative Covid Tests to Attend Class

Beginning in October, only students who have had a coronavirus vaccine or can provide a negative test weekly would be allowed to attend Greek university classes under new plans.

Greek government plans indicate that students will return to in-person learning in universities across the country but will either be required to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus or submit to a weekly test that must return a negative result.

“We cannot discuss not opening the universities anymore, as we have the option of vaccinations,” Deputy Education Minister Angelos Syrigos told Greek newspaper I Kathimerini.

The newspaper notes that while the plans are currently still under discussion by the government, the country is facing a new wave of infections and plans may change as a fourth wave of the Wuhan virus pandemic spreads across the country.

The Indian or “Delta” variant of the virus is now said to be behind around half of the cases in Greece. The variant has spread rapidly, with just four cases of it being detected as little as two weeks ago.

Earlier this month, Greece opened up its vaccination programme to all adults and has focused on attracting younger people to take the vaccine.

One of the incentives offered by the Greek government has been a prepaid card in the amount of €150 (£129/$178) for those aged 18 to 25.

The “freedom pass” was announced by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in late June.

“This is a debt to our youth, a gift of gratitude, particularly ahead of the summer. [It is] a ‘thank you’ for their patience and perseverance,” the Greek leader said.

Greece is just one of several countries pushing a vaccine passport programme in various areas of life in the country.

In France, French president Emmanuel Macron required mandatory vaccinations for certain vocations, such as caregivers and firefighters, as well as demanding that vaccine passports be required to enter businesses such as restaurants and engage in train and air travel.

His death comes amid a surge in gun violence in the Big Apple in recent months, with shootings up 29 percent so far in 2021 and fears mounting that the city is headed back to the dark days of the '70s and '80s when it earned the nickname 'Fear City'.

A police source told New York Daily News that Stokes and Jones had gotten into a fight four months before the shooting at Jones' birthday party in a nightclub in Long Island City in October.

The fight broke out when Stokes allegedly hit on Jones' girlfriend, the source said.

Four months later, police said Jones was waiting to meet a woman in the rented Jeep around a mile from his home when he was ambushed by a gunman.

Jones was shot almost a dozen times and police recovered 10 shell casings from a 9mm weapon at the scene.

Prosecutors said surveillance footage shows Stokes walk past the driver's side window of the Jeep before doubling back, gunning down his victim and fleeing the scene.

The suspect was then captured on separate footage getting into a rented Audi, they said.

The net closed in on Stokes when police then tracked that vehicle to a parking spot near his home, they said.

Stokes was taken into custody Friday morning at his apartment in Forest Hills before being arraigned later that day on three charges of second degree murder and weapons possession.
