Anons, still digging on Iran payments. Found out that the documents outlining the payments are technically unclassified, but kept in a place where most (including many in Congress) cannot view them:

Personally, I think forgery. But it is encouraging that there are docs–POTUS can have them released at any time.

Details on the deal, esp. regarding where the planes left from, are sketchy. Supposedly the payments were made on Jan 22, 2016 and Feb 5th, with those two making up the $1.3 bn. in cash. Pompeo and Rubio were all over LL, trying to get info out of here–she pleaded the 5th, more or less, by having a flunky reply while she ignored them:

Finally, it is noteworthy that the final verdict is that the payments were a ransom; at least, that's how it was characterized in the DOJ's response letter:

Still investigating. Also, trying to see how the deal evolved along with the message to sell it–specifically how the "Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012" might have allowed Ben Rhodes to use propaganda in order to sway public opinion. That act, btw, was passed by Republican Mac Thornberry–who recently spoke out about POTUS leaving the Iran deal. Pretty sure he's deepstate.

Likely they went with "ransom payments" because they figured that the penalty would be less than the others…especially given that the $1.3bn they'd said was "interest" had never been decided by the Tribunal. Plus the fact that the US really should have been receiving $4 billion from Iran rather than giving them $1.7 bn.
