Married Premier League player (Everton) arrested on suspicion of child sex offences, with club suspending him while police investigate the allegations

The Premier League player was arrested on Friday by Greater Manchester Police

The top-flight footballer, who is married, has since been released on bail

Player's Premier League club have since confirmed they have suspended him

A married Premier League player has been arrested on suspicion of child sex offences, it emerged on Monday night.

The player, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, has been suspended by his club while police investigate the allegations.

He was arrested last Friday by Greater Manchester Police before being released on bail.

It has since been reported that police raided his home earlier this month in search of evidence.

A source told The Sun: 'Several items were seized by cops. He was questioned in relation to very serious offences.'

The player returned to his home on Friday night after being allowed to leave the police station where he was questioned.

News of the arrest has shocked the Premier League. The competition's next season is set to start in under four weeks time.

The source added that the news had 'stunned the dressing room' and that the player had since 'gone to ground' after being suspended.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: 'Officers arrested a man on Friday 16 July 2021 on suspicion of child sex offences. He is on police bail pending further enquiries.'

A spokesman for his club said: 'We can confirm we have suspended a first-team player pending a police investigation.

'The club will continue to support the authorities with their inquiries and will not be making any further statement at this time.'

On Monday night, the player's agent declined to comment.

Amazon Web Services Shuts Down Accounts, Servers Linked to NSO Group - Report

This follows the Sunday publication by a coalition of media outlets and activist organizations revealing that the Israeli company's Pegasus spyware had been used for surveillance of at least 50,000 journalists and government officials.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has blocked cloud accounts and shut down all the infrastructure belonging to NSO Group, Vice reported on Monday, citing the company's statement.

The above-mentioned publication was dedicated to the investigation into NSO's malware and phone numbers that may be targeted by NSO's government clients.

According to an investigation by seventeen media outlets from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and other countries, NSO Group's software Pegasus was used to hack smartphones that belonged to human rights activists and lawyers, journalists, business executives, and even two women who were close to journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was assassinated at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in October 2018.

"When we learned of this activity, we acted quickly to shut down the relevant infrastructure and accounts," a spokesperson for AWS is quoted in the report as saying.

Amnesty International's forensic report published on Sunday said that NSO Group's software was found utilizing AWS's CloudFront infrastructure, a content-delivery network, "to deliver the earlier stages of their attacks" against targeted mobile devices during the forensic examination that resulted in the reports.

CloudFront infrastructure was reportedly utilized in the deployment of NSO's malware against targets, including on the phone of a French human rights lawyer. The switch to CloudFront also shields NSO from investigators and other outsiders attempting to look into the company's infrastructure.

"The use of cloud services protects NSO Group from some Internet scanning techniques," Amnesty's report added.

Previously, Amazon has reportedly been quiet on NSO's use of its infrastructure. The tech giant purportedly did not respond to media claims and requests regarding the reports of NSO using Amazon infrastructure to distribute malware in May 2020.

According to the Amnesty analysis, NSO also uses services from firms including Digital Ocean, OVH, and Linode.

On Sunday, the investigative organization Forbidden Stories alongside multiple media outlets released a series of reports based in part on a leak of more than 50,000 phone numbers reportedly chosen for possible surveillance by NSO's clients.

Later on Sunday, the UK news outlet the Guardian published a compilation of public statements by NSO and national governments regarding the Pegasus malware project.

"NSO does not operate the systems that it sells to vetted government customers, and does not have access to the data of its customers’ targets. NSO does not operate its technology, does not collect, nor possesses, nor has any access to any kind of data of its customers," the statement read. "Due to contractual and national security considerations, NSO cannot confirm or deny the identity of our government customers, as well as identity of customers of which we have shut down systems."

Former Texas Juvenile Justice Department Employee Arrested For Indecency With A Child

AUSTIN — The Texas Juvenile Justice Department’s Office of the Inspector General arrested former employee Deena Riley for Indecency with a Child late this afternoon.

Riley is 44 years old and joined the agency in 2020. In January, she resigned from her position as a youth development coach at the McLennan County State Juvenile Facility, in Mart.

On April 12, 2021, three youths absconded from a TJJD halfway house. An OIG investigation determined that Riley assisted in that act, and on April 28, she was arrested and booked into the Ellis County Jail for hindering apprehension.

The new charges reflect the ongoing investigation by the OIG. The youth in question is a male who is 16 years old. Because Riley was not an employee of TJJD at the time of the offense, the Ellis County District Attorney will prosecute the case.

Master of Misinformation: Joe Biden’s 10 Worst Lies

President Joe Biden is pushing social media companies to suppress what he calls “misinformation” about coronavirus vaccines, blaming it for stalling the administration’s rollout and claiming that bad information is “killing people.”

Yet Biden has been assisted by deliberate misinformation by social media companies, who suppressed the (true) story of Hunter Biden’s laptop, and he has also produced misinformation, for political advantage, that has damaged the country.

  1. Misinformation about neo-Nazis. Biden launched his presidential campaign in April 2019 by claiming that President Donald Trump had referred to neo-Nazis and white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virginia, as “very fine people.” In fact, Trump had said they should be “condemned totally.” Biden did not invent the lie, but by repeating it, he convinced many Americans that their president was a Nazi sympathizer, and stoked racial tensions that fed nationwide unrest.

  1. Misinformation about the coronavirus vaccine. In August 2020, then-candidate Biden told Americans they could not trust a vaccine that was being produced by Trump’s Operation Warp Speed. “It’s not likely to go through all the tests and the trials that are needed to be done,” Biden said, slandering the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). He also said Trump was “moving it quicker than the scientists think it should be moved,” falsely claiming the authority of science.

  1. Misinformation about officer-involved shootings. When police shot Jacob Blake Jr. in Kenosha last August, Biden called Blake “a victim of excessive force” and said that “the officers must be held accountable.” In fact, Blake was armed with a knife; had fought with officers; and was wanted on an outstanding warrant for sexual assault. A subsequent investigation exonerated the officers. Biden’s lie fueled outrage that had already exploded into riots on Kenosha’s streets.

  1. Misinformation about Antifa and riots. As violent radicals affiliated with the Antifa movement attacked a federal courthouse in Portland, Oregon, for several months, firing incendiary devices and shooting laser beams at federal law enforcement officers, Biden claimed that the feds were “brutally attacking peaceful protesters.” His demonstrably false claim gave political cover to the radicals, who continued their destruction — in Portland, Kenosha, and elsewhere.

  1. Misinformation about China’s threat to the U.S. Biden consistently downplayed the threat that China poses to the U.S. and the free world in general. In January 2020, he dismissed President Trump’s coronavirus travel ban on China as “hysterical xenophobia.” On the campaign trail, he continued to ridicule the idea that China was an economic competitor to the U.S. Today, the Biden administration is struggling to deal with Chinese (and Russian) cyberattacks on the U.S.

  1. Misinformation about military deaths. Biden claimed on the campaign trail last year that there had been 6,114 military deaths from the coronavirus pandemic, for which he blamed President Trump. The real number was seven. Biden also repeated debunked claims that Trump had referred to American soldiers as “suckers” and “losers.” Ironically, once he was president, Biden failed to recognize the anniversary of D-Day, dishonoring the troops he promised to honor.

  1. Misinformation about economic re-openings. Biden claims credit for the ongoing economic recovery. But when several Republican-led states opted to drop their mask mandates and other coronavirus restrictions in March, Biden accused them of “Neanderthal thinking,” saying that their decision to drop mandates was “a big mistake.” Instead of going up, coronavirus cases in those states declined — and jobs also soared, for which Biden has falsely taken credit.

Pence national security advisor: Milley comments on imagined Trump plot 'seditious,' if true

If Joint Chiefs chairman's implied threat to intervene against Trump "with the guys with the guns" is accurately reported, then "he has violated his oath of office" and "he should go," said retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg.

If remarks attributed to Gen. Mark Milley are true, the four-star chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff committed sedition, according to retired Army Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, who served as national security advisor to Vice President Mike Pence during the Trump administration.

"I think he has violated his oath of office," Kellogg said of Milley. "I think he should go."

Kellogg made the observation while appearing on the John Solomon Reports podcast. A wartime infantry commander, Kellogg served in a number of key national security roles in the Trump White House, including chief of staff of the National Security Council.

Kellogg on the podcast elaborated on his Friday tweets about comments attributed to Milley in a newly released book, "I Alone Can Fix It," by Washington Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker.

The book reports that Milley feared Trump would attempt to stage a coup in order to remain in the White House past Jan. 20, when Joe Biden was inaugurated as president.

"They may try, but they're not going to f-- succeed," Milley told his deputies while discussing the possibility of a coup, according to the book. "You can't do this without the military. You can't do this without the CIA and the FBI. We're the guys with the guns."

If quoted accurately, the remarks violate the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Kellogg wrote Jan. 16 on Twitter.

"If true, Mark Milley’s comments are seditious," he wrote.

Kellogg elaborated on the tweets while being questioned on the podcast by Solomon.

"I really believe in civilian control of the military," Kellogg said. "I think it's essential. I think it's a bedrock of our Constitution and where we go, and my point was, if true, and what Mark said is true, then I think he violated his oath of office."

As chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Milley has no command role, and is not authorized to inject himself into the military chain of command, Kellogg said.

"There's a Uniform Code of Military Justice article, Article 94, which is actually mutiny and sedition. And look at that, and I said, you had violated your oath of office," Kellogg said.

The retired three-star Kellogg denounced the suggestion that Trump wanted to stage a coup.

"I was with the President on sixth January," Kellogg said. "I was with the president for 1,461 days. He never did anything that I thought was egregious enough that even came close to supporting what Mark Milley said."

Because of that and other comments about Trump's supporters, Kellogg said, Milley should leave office.

Kellogg's entire range of comments about Milley and other issues can be heard on the July 20 podcast.

Woman reveals large pantry full of fast foods that just don’t rot

A woman with a cupboard full of unwrapped junk food has shocked millions of TikTok users as she proves that some processed foods never go bad — including pizza, fried chicken and doughnuts.

In a post with over 3.3 million views on the social media platform, TikTok user Elif Kandemir shared a clip in which she explores her mom’s pantry, she claimed, stacked high with portable plastic storage drawers full of fast food and other highly processed comestibles.

“This is my mum’s food cupboard — full of foods that never go off!” she wrote in text over the video.

“My mum is a nutritionist helping to tackle obesity,” read another blurb. “These foods shown here are ultra-processed foods that 80% of the UK consume on a regular basis.”

“Still fancy that burger?” Kandemir asked in the video’s caption.

In a follow-up video, she claimed that her mom, a psychotherapist and nutritionist, began collecting the dishes about two years ago.

“Most of this food she’s been collecting over the last two years, so most of it is one to two years old,” Kandemir says in a voiceover.

She continued dogmatically to share nutritional statistics based in the UK.

“80% of the UK are now eating this diet, probably without knowledge of what they are eating,” says Kandemir, then referenced a recently debuted BBC documentary featuring British doctor Chris van Tulleken, who spent four weeks on a strict junk food diet. The experiment impacted every aspect of van Tulleken’s health — indeed, physically, but also mentally as brain scans revealed that the temptatious treats had altered his brain to behave more like a drug or alcohol addict.

“And though it is true, that you can have anything and everything in moderation, 80% of a person’s diet should not be made up of these foods,” Kandemir concludes.

In defense of her mother’s scarily enduring food experiment, the daughter adds, “No food is off-limits, my mum is simply trying to encourage people to make better food decisions and live a happier, healthier lifestyle.”

Previous research on the degradability of processed foods, including one such infamous experiment implicating the seemingly ageless McDonald’s burger, have yet to land on a full explanation of why some foods inhibit the growth of mold. However, a thorough investigation by Serious Eats in 2019 ascertained that a lack of moisture is the most plausible factor contributing to the McDonald’s burger’s longevity.

Where thicker, saucier or otherwise juicier burgers may be devoured by fungi within days or weeks, Serious Eats found, McDonald’s hamburger patty seemed to be just thin enough to essentially dehydrate — like burger-shaped beef jerky — before rotting. Indeed, mold needs moisture to thrive, which is why dehydrated foods stay edible for many years.

Black Rifle Coffee Calls Its Customers ‘Racist’ After Being Funded by Liberal ‘Venture Capitalist’, Says Pro-Trump Covfefe Coffee

"I would gladly chop all of those people out of my [expletive] customer database and pay them to get the [expletive] out"

Black Rifle Coffee has been slammed by conservatives for calling their customers racist, with pro-Trump coffee brand Covfefe Coffee highlighting their funding by a liberal venture capitalist firm.

Black Rifle Coffee, a supposedly pro-America, pro-military coffee firm, came under fire last year for distancing themselves from Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager currently charged relating to the shooting of two antifa rioters in Kenosha. Despite the company losing an estimated 3,000 to 6,000 customers, Evan Hafer and Mat Best, the CEO and Executive VP of Black Rifle Coffee respectively, were interviewed for a ~10,000 word piece for the New York Times last week, where they turned their back even further on many of their consumers.

Hafer, who admitted that he stopped believing the myriad claims of election fraud in the 2020 election after then-Attorney General Bill Barr dismissed them in December, despite the recent Arizona audit revealing a vast number of serious issues, said that despite building his entire brand on being pro-Trump, he is now “a man without a party.” The New York Times noted that he was “reluctant to say much positive” about President Trump.

Both best and Hafer railed in the interview about customers who claimed they were “racist,” including the multi-racial Proud Boys organisaion, swearing repeatedly, and describing America First supporters as being “repugnant”:

“You can’t let sections of your customers hijack your brand and say, ‘This is who you are,’” Best told me. “It’s like, no, no, we define that.” The Rittenhouse episode may have cost the company thousands of customers, but, Hafer believed, it also allowed Black Rifle to draw a line in the sand. “It’s such a repugnant group of people,” Hafer said. “It’s like the worst of American society, and I got to flush the toilet of some of those people that kind of hijacked portions of the brand.”

“The racism [expletive] really pisses me off,” Hafer said. “I hate racist, Proud Boy-ish people. Like, I’ll pay them to leave my customer base. I would gladly chop all of those people out of my [expletive] customer database and pay them to get the [expletive] out.”

Hafer even confirmed that a new coffee bag design, featuring a “Renaissance-style rendering of St. Michael the Archangel, a patron saint of military personnel, shooting a short-barreled rifle,” would now never “see the light of day,” with Hafer having apparently been told by “a friend at the Pentagon” that supposed “white supremacists” were adopting the design “because it was reminiscent of the murder of George Floyd.”
