The promotion came during her funeral - the 48-year-old mother of three was murdered July 5. Her funeral drew thousands of law enforcement from around the world, including several from Acton and surrounding towns

McDonald remained active with NYPD for life. He mentored young officers during roll call, attended every graduation ceremony and funeral. You might say he became a goodwill ambassador for the organization. He also took his message of “Faith and Forgiveness” to Israel, Ireland, and Bosnia. Indeed this was a man with a mission
Does not fit into the mid 2017, but they have named roads etc. after him. Pages upon pages of stories upon his death but understand the timeline aspect.
