That's a matter of perspective. There always has been, and currently are people suffering. Sometimes it looks as if the purpose of the plan is to create a more universal form of suffering, or at least the illusion that there is. The reality, though, is that there are those that are suffering, and humanity (despite all its flaws and shortcomings) deserves so much better.
Arrogant (some call it compassionate) opinion:
If we have the capability to end a majority of the suffering, unleashing the real truth to all as plainly as possible (no more riddles), destroying many/most/all systems of control that serve a false ideological narrative that leads people (unknowingly) into a system of death, then we should be pouring all our energy into those solutions; collectively.
