And lets not forget SPACE. We have been held back technologically for 100 years. The next 100 will see mining colonies on the moon start up, become successful and in some cases become self sufficient. That means farming on the moon, raising crops, chickens, smaller dairy cattle, etc in underground caves lit by full spectrum light powered by =Thorium or fusion reactors. Mars will be terraformed and in 100 years people will go there to fly (wearing wings) under the roof over the Great Rift Valley. Colonies will be all over the Belt, some mining and others hollowing out asteroids to build generational starships inside them. Undersea colonies will be planted on Europa. Titan will be explored to see if the Neanderthal did indeed get there before us.
After all it only took us 8000 years to go from hunting through agriculture (the first step) to space travel.
