I used to chuckle in disbelief every time the flu season was discussed. Every year the same story, the same recommendations, the same people getting their shot and feeling like it was warding off the flu.
Me, no vaccine in over 30 years and no flu during that time either. They don't want you trusting your own immune system, nosiree
I dunno if its just me or some in-built BS detection, but the annual 'flu vax' has always seemed like more of a psychological comfort than anything else. The difference before now was, people didn't care if you had the vaccine or not, it was totally personal choice. They didn't walk around in mortal fear of dying as they do now.
So A+ job on the PSYOP to the medical puppetmasters this time around.
Have said almost this exact sentiment many times. 100 years ago, you would look out the window, and judge the oncoming weather. During an outbreak, you'd talk to your neighbor and find out what he thought. Maybe talk to the family doc who had birthed all of your kids.
I'll take that level of info any day over what we have now. We have the world at our fingertips, but 99% of it is BS.
Frens I'm in for some family heartache, coming soon to a theater near anon. I'm an expat, and unvaxxed (duh). Anon's entire family back in the states has been vaccinated, including parent anons who are in their 70s. Odds are high that in the next year or two one of the older generation is going to stroke out, or get pneumonia and not recover, etc. Lucky they got their Covid protection with all of its graphine and spike proteins, right?
The dilemma is I know i won't be able to travel. And there is a high likelihood it won't be just one funeral. And I am not taking a fucking vaccine for the sole purpose of a travel pass.
