>Who is Richard Donoghue?
Brooklyn federal judges have tapped the borough's current U.S. attorney to stay on the job.
The judges formally appointed Richard Donoghue, according to a Thursday announcement.
In January, Attorney General Jeff Sessions picked Donoghue, 50, as the "interim" top federal prosecutor for a jurisdiction that stretches from Brooklyn to Suffolk County. When appointing Donoghue, Sessions also tapped Geoffrey Berman as the Manhattan U.S. Attorney.
Donoghue hasn't been confirmed by the Senate. The vote scraps the "interim" title and keeps him in place until the Senate confirms a nomination from President Trump.
